UPDATE: I’M ABLE TO SPEAK AGAIN!! I been talking... since Tuesday. For those that aren’t familiar with tracheotomies, because of the open hole in my throat, it prevents me from speaking because air goes out the trach rather than up through your voice box. So in order for me to speak, I have a cap called a speaking valve (the purple cap). What it does is cover the trach to allow the air I breathe to go through my nose and mouth again while stopping air from coming out my throat, allowing my voice to come out. It’s a really big adjustment and what should feel like breathing normal doesn’t feel natural at all. I can only wear it for a short time before getting tired for now. A week ago I didn’t even know how to breathe with it on, but last night I had it on for the longest I’ve had so far and it felt comfortable. So there’s hope to getting back to normalcy. I Still have to adjust to my daily life with this thing in my throat. Still not comfortable gaming or sitting for long period of time because of the position I need to be in. It’s getting better though. Hopefully it’s still just part of the healing process. Also. Thank you to the community for giving me the confidence to post videos and pictures of myself in the most unflattering situations.show more

The past year has seen me have a renaissance,... in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. Yesterday it was Mumbai — I was stuck in... the airport for six miserable hours as my IndiGo flight was almost cancelled. After endless confusion, I finally managed to board at 5:30 PM. Today, it’s chaos in Bengaluru, Pune, and several other airports with hundreds of flights cancelled. The biggest problem isn’t just the cancellations — it’s the complete lack of clear communication. Airlines don’t specify whether a flight is delayed, cancelled, or still uncertain. And if a flight is cancelled, retrieving your luggage is a nightmare. First time back at Babbo since Starr took over,... last time I was here Mario Batali was still at the helm. Started with the Tagliatelle Tartufi with fresh Tuscan white truffles paired with the 2011 Barolo Renzo Seghesio, 'Ginestra.’ I’ve had Tagliatelle Tartufi at numerous high end Italian places in NYC, this was my least favorite, the best? Santi hands down. Babbo’s version seemed to still be swimming in Pasta Water, and not a lot of flavor. While the pasta was good not great, the Barolo exceeded my expectations. Followed with their 100 Layer Lasagne with parmigiano-reggiano crema, bolognese, Pugliese tomato marinara. Last time I had this was at Mario’s Del Posto. The portion at Babbo is family style for 4ppl, presentation is amazing. Was probably the only dish I remember loving at Del Posto, and was better here, by a ways! Paired tonight with the 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Mulinari, 'L'Aietta.’ Both the wine and Lasagna 10/10. Pure indulgence and flavor 💣! A must have. Currently my favorite lasagna in #NYC. Vibe and energy still very much as it was under Mario. I felt the service was better, friendlier, than prior, and food quality very similar maybe a little better than my prior visit. Fun place with a group, lots of energy and “vibe.” Overall, a better experience today than prior, and would come back with a larger group to explore more of the menu and their large list of Italian wines more fully. With rifles and bullets, they did what they do best: take. First, they took the very bodies they had slain. Then, they turned to the living. One by one, mourners were dragged away, pulled by hands, legs, rifle butts, women children and men, tossed into police vans like criminals. This humble Swadeshi toffee was an answer to foreign treats which has been delivering chocolatey joy since the 1980s and remains a childhood favorite for millions. 🍬 In the late 1920s, during the Swadeshi movement, a young tailor from Pardi near Valsad, Gujarat, arrived in Bombay with big dreams. His name was Mohanlal Dayal Chauhan. Tired of relying on imported sweets and biscuits, he decided to create something proudly Indian. In 1928–1929, Mohanlal bought an old, rusted factory (some accounts say it started in a simple shed or cowshed) in Vile Parle, Mumbai. He traveled to Germany, learned the art of confectionery, and brought back machinery worth a fortune ₹60,000 at the time. With just 12 workers and that German equipment, he set up the House of Parle. Their first products were simple sweets, toffees, and traditional Indian confections, an affordable swadeshi alternative to British treats. 🍬 Parle grew steadily. By 1939, they launched Parle Gluco biscuits (later the legendary Parle-G), which became a symbol of energy and affordability for a young nation. The Chauhan family, Mohanlal and his descendants turned this small operation into a confectionery powerhouse. 🍬 Fast forward to 1983, a pivotal year for Indian sweets. Real chocolate bars were still expensive luxuries. Parle’s team had a brilliant idea: Why not give every child in India the joy of chocolate without the high price?That’s when Melody was born, a revolutionary 2-in-1 toffee. It featured a soft, chewy caramel exterior with a rich chocolate filling inside. You could even see the chocolate from the side when bitten. Priced at just ₹1, it made chocolate accessible to millions, from big-city kids to small-town school canteens. 🍬 The product wasn’t just clever in taste and texture, it was a marketing masterpiece. I think most... people are familiar with the great Wildebeest migration in Africa but very few people know of the great fish migration that happens each year along the east coast of Florida. It’s simply called, “The Fall Mullet Run,” but there is nothing simple about it. Millions of fish make their way down the coastline and everything, I mean everything wants to eat them. They get attacked by large predatory game fish from below and when they try to escape by hurling themselves into the air, large winged beasts from the sky are waiting to gobble them up in droves! It’s a rare convergence of multiple biomes colliding in a feeding frenzy of explosive, cinematic chaos. The fish in this clip explode like fireworks into the air. Something massive is hunting beneath the surface and as soon as this young brown pelican decides it has found the motherlode, a snook blasts out of the water, forcing the pelican to hit the brakes mid-air and reroute fast. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I still remember watching it unfold through the tiny viewfinder of my Sony, and not believing my eyes. Then Buddy did something I will never forget. He climbed up on that exam table — something he's NEVER allowed to do — and he wouldn't stop pressing his face against Max's. The vet tech tried to gently move him away. Buddy wouldn't budge. And then, for the first time in four days — Max lifted his head. The vet just stood there. Didn't say a word. We're not out of the woods. The vet wants to run more tests tomorrow. But tonight, Max ate three bites of food. Tonight, Max is still here. I don't know what tomorrow holds. The moment we were asked to park outside the society gate and walk half a kilometre in 40°C, I knew this flat had already lost. I did not push him. When a buyer goes quiet inside a flat, the decision is already made. You just respect it. He is still looking. He is still going to buy. Just not here. Somewhere in this society, a flat owner is probably refreshing their portal listing right now, wondering why serious buyers are not coming back with a second visit. The answer is not inside the flat. The answer is at the gate. Their facility management is turning buyers away before the lift door opens. If you own a flat in either society and plan to sell in the next 1 to 2 years, the first call is not to a broker. It is to your facility management. Ask them why visitors are parking on the road. This young one, along with the Zoo’s other prehensile-tailed porcupines, are outreach animals here at the Zoo and live mainly behind the scenes. This means that rather than being in a traditional habitat you can visit, they engage with our guests through our Stage Shows, special events, education programs and summer camps!
