Crimson Desert has this surface shader.. It has a... transformative effect on the game visuals and it's seemingly applied to every object in the game. It doesn't look like tessellation, it appears to have artifacts from a screen-space effect. I believe they are using the height maps from every PBR material in the game to create some sort of screen space displacement mapping.show more

Tried the PBR Painter plugin for Blender to refine... my texturing and it's honestly great! Only the primitive texture painting engine of Blender is holding it back (e.g. brush size locked to screen space) Still a blessing not having to export to Substance for shader authoring.show more

I made a stream overlay that recreates the Metal... Gear Solid torture sequence with Twitch Chat. Chat has to spam emotes to resist torture, simulating the button mashing in the original game. If their HP goes to zero, it triggers the game over screen.show more
