Crimson Desert has this surface shader.. It has a... transformative effect on the game visuals and it's seemingly applied to every object in the game. It doesn't look like tessellation, it appears to have artifacts from a screen-space effect. I believe they are using the height maps from every PBR material in the game to create some sort of screen space displacement mapping.show more

I made a stream overlay that recreates the Metal... Gear Solid torture sequence with Twitch Chat. Chat has to spam emotes to resist torture, simulating the button mashing in the original game. If their HP goes to zero, it triggers the game over screen.show more

This guy has either never used a MiSTer FPGA,... or he's deliberately spreading misinformation. The video he linked, complete with timestamp, does not show the core crashing at all. Instead, it shows the credits screen listing those involved in the development of the project. From what I can see, this appears to be the core credits screen that was likely mapped to a controller button and triggered accidentally (I've done it myself). I've attached the video in question.
