DEVELOPING: There’s speculation that Martin Scorsese is shooting two... films this year. Currently, What Happens At Night, is shooting in Prague & set to wrap in May. This is the film we’ve seen stills of with Leonardo DiCaprio & Jennifer Lawrence. But recently, Reel Updates reported that casting grids already appear for Scorsese’s “Midnight Vendetta” in USA Production, Production List and Production Weekly- all set to shoot in December in New Orleans. I cannot confirm if Midnight Vendetta is shooting in New Orleans in December yet- but my god…could you imagine? If at 83, Marty gave us two releases like this? Scorsese is the reason I started this account. He’s one of my life’s biggest inspirations. I would LOVE to see this all take place.show more

Weekend Storm Update Despite what you might have heard…... I am STILL tracking the potential for a significant snow event this weekend. If it happens, the snow would arrive Sunday afternoon/evening. Model Guidance has been all over the place but I’ve been fairly consistent with my message: This looks like a Miller B Nor’Easter. Miller B storms typically have a mix line that sets up along I-78/I-80 in eastern PA and NJ. The European Model suggests that mix changes over to heavy snow as this storm strengthens. Whether or not that actually happens is pure speculation at this point. There are some non-linear processes that need to go exactly correct for this storm to produce significant snow. WOW! This is the view from the The George... Washington bridge running from Manhattan, New York to New Jersey. - This is all stemming from Central Canada, where wildfires are burning in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. - In total there are 211 reported wildfires burning in these two provinces, with 145 of them considered "out of control". - These fires started because of unseasonable hot and dry conditions, and have already forced 10,000 residents to evacuate their homes in Quebec. I think what this shows us is how fragile and interconnected the entire world really is environmentally. An event that takes place in another country can have major impacts and implications on our own. We are all in this thing together. Let's get along and work together to figure things out. Strait of Hormuz over the last 24 hours: calm... before the storm. Following yesterday's escort, there was nothing today. Traffic visibly dropped. The US gave Iran 24 hours to make a public statement about how the Strait of Hormuz is open, and there will be no further attacks on commercial vessels. But as you have all seen from my daily updates, the Oman lane was always going to be contested, so this is not new. The fact that the US issued another ultimatum just means escalation is inevitable. This comes after President Trump said that the ceasefire is no longer in place. Regardless, inbound tankers have been nonexistent for the last 5 days. This will force Gulf producers to shut-in production again. This is an all-or-nothing conflict. Let's see how this weekend unfolds.
