The reactions in both scenes are that of any other loving mother, It hurts them more than us when we fly the nest, I think more so if it's an only child. Lisa is a copper, she sees all the bad in the world, which will always be at the forefront of her mind. Shes well aware of what can happen in a big city like London. Her worries are valid, it doesn't make her any less happy for Betsy and her achievement but there was always going to be reservations. Today we’re announcing our new Mentava Basics curriculum, aimed... at kids who are still a bit too young for the standard Mentava curriculum. Here’s what people don’t understand about teaching a 2 or 3 year old to read: The necessary skills for reading don’t all develop at the same time. The ability to associate letters with sounds happens first, and at a pretty early age. If you think about it, learning “this funny shaped animal says moo” is pretty similar to learning “this funny shaped line says aaa.” However, the second necessary skill for reading is blending those letter sounds together, and kids often aren’t developmentally capable of doing that until at least 6-12 months later. Until today, our recommendation has been to wait until the child is developmentally ready to blend sounds. and then we just go full speed and teach them everything all at once, as fast as possible. But sometimes we have students who start a little younger. And then their parents are confused, because they see that their kids are having a ton of fun learning letter sounds super fast, but then are being gatekept from additional learning because they aren't yet developmentally ready to blend those sounds. That’s why we created the new Mentava Basics curriculum. Mentava Basics lets our youngest students focus on letter/sound pairings until they're developmentally ready to begin blending them. Mentava Basics takes the fun and delight of the core Mentava experience, but applies it to a curriculum that’s developmentally appropriate for even younger children. Mentava’s standard curriculum is still the fastest way to go from zero to reading, but with Mentava Basics now we can give kids a head start by helping them learn their letter sounds in advance. for me, rust needs a deeper and more complex... combat change. before anyone says to "just play a different way, change your playstyle", for the last year and a half i have done nothing but constantly change how i play and as well how i produce content, to see if the issue lies with me. but with every month that goes by it just gets harder and harder to hold onto the passion i once had for the game, i dont care about wanting to be one of the best anymore, or spending 12 hours a day training because it just doesnt satisfy me the way it used to and i hate that. a lot of people are probably gonna say to just quit rust or to move on- which isnt bad advice but i think i'd rather stay delusional and hope another combat update happens soon. better times are coming brothers and sisters i believe in it 👍show more

If ever there was a “look of love” this... has got to be it. 😍 I mean… book? What book? This little one ONLY has eyes for his mama. Eye contact is an important early developmental milestone and plays a number of roles for your baby. First and foremost, eye contact is critical to attachment and bonding. The stronger your emotional connection, the greater your baby’s sense of security - which contributes to optimal brain development. (Note, btw, that his little one appears to be in the hospital, making this emotionally secure - and almost enraptured - interaction all the more impressive, given what might otherwise be a stressful environment.) But there’s more than just safe and secure bonding happening here. There’s also serious learning. As your baby studies your face, they’re making connections between expressions and feelings - and, importantly, learning to speak. This little one may not be quite ready to replicate mom’s vocalizations quite yet, but he’s watching intently to see how his mother’s mouth moves and contorts to make all the wonderful sounds he’s taking in. It’s true: You and your baby share a diet.... Babies are exposed to the flavors of the foods their mothers eat during pregnancy - which find their way into the womb via amniotic fluid, which babies are constantly ingesting and expelling. So if you want your baby to eat healthy, you’re well advised to do the same during pregnancy - allowing your child’s developing “flavor palate” to include the taste of vegetables (for example) even before they enter the world. One study suggested that consistent exposure to carrots while in utero made babies more likely to embrace the taste of cereal mixed with carrot juice later in infancy. Speaking of carrots, there’s even evidence that babies begin expressing their preference for certain flavors in the womb. On 3D ultrasound, babies in one study exhibited more “laughing faces” when exposed to carrot than they did when exposed to the taste of kale (which elicited more “crying faces”).
