This woman is mistaken. Vilimale’ does not belong to... its current residents. People move from place to place all the time. Vilimale’ belongs to all Maldivians. The majority of Maldivians are against cutting down trees, destroying coral reefs and similar for the sake of development. That is a very selfish thing to do. Our generation is able to enjoy the natural beauty of Maldives cause decades ago, our parents and grandparents took care of the land and caused no harm, even as hundreds of resorts and related services were developed. Otherwise, we would not be able to enjoy this today. Sadly, in the last 15 years this has been changing little by little, all in the name of development. We want to deliver the same beautiful Maldives we inherited to our unborn children too.show more

Here’s Scottish Lib Dem leader Alex Cole-Hamilton claiming that... “the biggest threat to women and children in our society is not trans people but instead predatory men”. Yes, Alex, they are — that’s exactly why we don’t want men in our spaces. And a man wearing a dress does not diminish his risk of being a predator; it probably increases it. We know not all men are predators, but decent men understand that we have to keep all men out of women’s spaces to keep them safe. These DEI-worshipping politicians need to stop hiding behind the myth that men who call themselves “trans” can’t be predators. Male-pattern violence does not miraculously vanish with ‘transitioning’ or the granting of a protected characteristic label. The same blind worship at the altar of DEI has also led them to ignore patterns of predatory sexual behaviour by men from certain ethnic, cultural or religious groups — all because noticing would be “racist.” Bizarrely, his statement was made in defence of the harms of gender ideology to women and children: ML: Gender ideology is harmful. ACH: Look, predatory men! We shouldn’t ignore those harms, Alex Cole-Hamilton🔶🇺🇦, just because predatory men are a risk, it’s not a competition — they overlap, and both need tackling! 🤦♀️ What a joke, Scottish Lib Dems.show more

For Ghost Of Yōtei we rebuilt our frame to... use a more general dynamic resolution algorithm, with upsampling, partly so we could take advantage of PSSR. PSSR works very well for us with only a few tweaks, including running conservative rasterization for small particles. By comparison, our standard upsampling algorithm requires significantly more hinting and authoring help to achieve good results. Here’s a side-by-side look. If you zoom in very close (16x before gif compression), you can see that PSSR does a better job reconstructing fine details on architecture and foliage. It is also more stable under motion.show more

Salmo & Ella. What's the matter bro? Scared of... a raw egg? When you mention raw eggs the brainwashed reply is often "But what about Salmonella?" Well, what about it? It's currently in our bodies right now - helping us! I eat raw eggs BECAUSE I want more bacteria. More bacteria, more health. There are billions of different bacteria in our systems; pointing out a specific name of one and blaming it for illness is nonsense. Your body knows what it is doing - it does not randomly get sick because of encountering one specific Salmo & Ella. Disease is caused by malnutrition, toxins, chemical products in our environments and energetic influences - not the mere existence of one particular bacteria in the body.show more

This Nvidia GPU farm sits in a spare room... and prints $18,000 a month Ten cards running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The setup cost $120,000 to build but it paid for itself in seven months. It does not mine crypto. It rents compute to AI companies that need processing power right now. Companies pay by the hour and the demand never stops. At full capacity the farm pulls $18,000 a month after electricity costs. The owner does not touch it. It just runs. Nvidia GPUs are the most in-demand piece of hardware on the planet right now. The companies that figured this out two years ago are already sitting on serious passive income. The barrier to entry is high but the people inside are not leaving. Follow if you want to understand where the real AI money is actually going.show more

I just saw this video on IG now. The... creator obviously does not know what it is. Yet, he's touching it. The main purpose of making this post is to tell you NEVER TOUCH AN ANIMAL OR PLANT YOU DON'T KNOW, most especially at the sea. If it now has bright colour, avoid it until you're sure it's safe to touch. The organism is called velella and it is mildly venomous. The venom doesn't really have effect on humans but some people might be affected by it. When it is touched, using that same hand to touch the the face might cause the face to itch or burn. Officially, it is not found in Nigeria, but I won't rule out its sighting totally. They're usually found in America's, Europe, Asia and Australia. In Africa, they've been found in Tanzania, Mauritius, and South Africa too. Therefore , they might get drifted to coastal areas in Nigeria too. Thank you.show more

I had a dream last night that I was... building a local beef processing facility to sell at scale to my local community. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. As it is now, there are thousands of head of cattle in my county. The vast majority are shipped by 18-wheelers to the Midwest, fed out, then processed and shipped back to us as a part of the national supply chain. I know we could produce a much better product at a competitive price by keeping everything close to home. It’s just a huge endeavor that would require investment and some help from the administration. But it is possible.show more

🚨 NASA JUST SHARED THE CLEAREST VIEW YET OF... JUPITER’S MASSIVE HEXAGONAL STORM AT THE SOUTH POLE. This enormous, stable vortex roughly the width of Earth has been raging for years with a near-perfect hexagonal shape. At its center is a dark, powerful cyclone surrounded by turbulent, swirling bands of gas in constant motion. The hexagon is one of the most striking and mysterious atmospheric features in the Solar System. Scientists still don’t fully understand how it maintains its sharp, six-sided structure despite the chaotic winds around it. Why this matters: • It shows that giant planets can sustain extremely organized, long-lived weather systems on scales we don’t see on Earth • The hexagon is thought to be shaped by Jupiter’s rapid rotation and deep atmospheric dynamics • Studying it helps us understand how storms and atmospheric patterns work on gas giants in general including exoplanets • Juno’s close-up observations continue to reveal new details about the depth and structure of these polar vortices The deeper implication: Jupiter’s polar regions are turning out to be far more complex and structured than scientists expected. Features like this hexagon challenge our models of atmospheric physics and show that even in the most turbulent environments, nature can create remarkably stable, geometric patterns. As we study more gas giants (both in our Solar System and beyond), these kinds of observations help us understand the limits of weather, stability, and chaos on planetary scales. How do you think something this organized and long-lasting can exist in such a violent atmosphere? Follow for more frontier planetary science and stunning space imagery.show more

It is important to clearly understand what the protests... currently taking place in Ukraine are about in connection with the resignation of Defense Minister Fedorov. Fedorov is a thief and a fraudster. He will, of course, now be presented as a new face who carried out digitalization in the Ministry of Defense. In reality, Fedorov was involved in criminal fraud cases back in the early 2010s. At that time, they were selling overweight women a miracle weight-loss cure. Fedorov avoided criminal liability by becoming friends with Zelensky. Why are the protests happening now? Because Fedorov’s entourage was making, and continues to make, hundreds of millions of dollars from drones. Not tens of millions - hundreds of millions of dollars. The people who are currently paying for articles, protests, and opinion leaders may lose enormous amounts of money. For example, just yesterday, one opinion leader was paid 300,000 USDT to start pushing this issue. And, let me note, this was not even the main opinion leader. So now the entourage of the thief Fedorov will fight as hard as possible to remain in control of these financial flows. It is important to understand who may replace Fedorov: the Minister of Internal Affairs. That, in turn, means that mobilization will become even stricter. For Fedorov, losing the ministerial portfolio would be a collapse - it would be the end. Because both he and his entourage could face criminal liability for the enormous schemes that exist within the Ministry of Defense involving drones and missiles. That is the difficult situation we are facing right now. And people will now campaign on Fedorov’s behalf even if they are among those in Europe who received kickbacks from the funds Europe allocated for the procurement of drones and other equipment. Pay close attention to their statements. At the same time, it is important to understand that things will not get better there. This is purely a battle over the money of gullible Westerners.show more

They told us it was bc of COVID. They... told us it was bc of a staged insurrection. 5GW. I'm not sure how or why people can't see the full picture. The inauguration of 2020 was so full of inconsistencies it's absurd. Early swearing in. Wrong gun salute. Gaga dressed like hunger games. Nancy being led around by Marshalls. Biden saying salute the Marines bc that's what his earpiece said. Trump never conceded.. Trump was given the 21 gun salute. The boss left with the nuclear football for crying out loud. The drops told us, shown not told. Trump explained explicitly about the PAUSE. He told you we are in his second term now. So do you think the fences and barbed wire and 25k troops were for COVID and a staged insurrection? I don't. We will have a peaceful transition ta military power. Wake up Frens. Obviously this guy is just grasping at straws in... a feeble attempt to defend #AI (as if he cares about people), but it does remind me of something important… Me and every director I knew made every effort possible to get to know our outsourcing studio animators (they were people… humans… artists… not an algorithm). I would say stuff like, “This scene’s got a fire monster… I’ll bet you have someone there who loves drawing fire, right?” and I’d hear them laugh and say (through the translator) “We’ve got three… we’ll let them fight over it!” They weren’t faceless drones… they were part of the team to me. Moreover, I was taught that the best way to ensure that they weren’t overworked was by making sure that everything we ever sent was clear, detailed and easy to understand. There were lots of “They’ll fix it in Korea” directors. We referred to them as “hacks.” And we shunned them. Because we cared.show more

🚨 SCIENTISTS JUST DETECTED QUANTUM ENTANGLEMENT IN A CENTIMETER-SIZED... PIECE OF METAL SOMETHING ONCE THOUGHT IMPOSSIBLE AT THIS SCALE. Researchers at the Vienna University of Technology have found clear evidence of high-degree quantum entanglement among particles inside a macroscopic crystal of a “strange metal” made of cerium, palladium, and silicon. This is one of the first times multipartite entanglement has been convincingly demonstrated in a solid object large enough to hold in your hand. Strange metals are already bizarre their electrons don’t behave like normal individual particles. Now it appears large numbers of them can act as a single, highly entangled quantum system even at everyday scales. Why this matters: • Quantum entanglement has almost always been limited to tiny numbers of particles in carefully isolated lab conditions • This experiment shows entanglement can persist collectively across a visible, macroscopic object • It was measured using neutron scattering, which revealed the material responding as one entangled system rather than many independent particles • This bridges the gap between microscopic quantum effects and real-world materials The deeper implication: For decades, physicists have wondered whether the strange, collective behavior seen in certain quantum materials could be explained by underlying entanglement. This result strongly suggests the answer is yes even at scales we can see and touch. It doesn’t mean your coffee mug is in a quantum superposition, but it does show that quantum correlations can dominate the physics of certain solids in ways we’re only beginning to understand. This kind of macroscopic quantum behavior could eventually help us design new materials with exotic properties, or give us new tools to study fundamental questions about quantum mechanics itself. How do you think discovering entanglement at this scale changes our understanding of where the quantum world ends and the classical world begins? img2threejs is back. I’m getting ready to ship v1.3.... Highlights: - Divine Eye: deterministic render validation before the final VLM review. - Better geometry reconstruction for more accurate 3D shapes. - Photo-grounded PBR materials instead of generic guesses. - Stronger reference validation. - Faster generation with smarter caching. These improvements were originally planned for v2.0, but the scope kept growing, so I decided to split the release instead of making everyone wait. Here's a demo from v1.3. I’d love your feedback: - Does the output quality look good? - Is there anything missing before I release v1.3? - Any issues you notice? If everything looks solid, I’ll publish v1.3 today ( in next 6hour ) v2.0 is still coming. I’m taking extra time to test and polish it to make sure it delivers the best quality possible.show more
