Sharing some more UI previews for Superlogical, this time... the "tab peek." If you three-finger swipe down, you can "peek" at the other session tabs. These are live-updating, metal-rendered previews including splits. If you keep dragging, you enter a "mission control" style mode. This is one of those UI patterns that once you get used to, you mindlessly find yourself doing it ALL THE TIME. It's a great way to quickly take a look at everything thats going on. You aren't reading the mini text of course, but the shape of it tells you a lot about where things are. The peek pushes the terminal down off screen, it doesn't resize it, so it doesn't force any weird reflow or anything either. There's a lot more to talk about, especially about how this interacts with how we expose what needs attention so you can easily find the terminals/sessions/etc. that require your attention. Tonight I made umeboshi onigiri three ways: chopped umeboshi mixed in with sides rolled in black and white sesame seeds; nori-wrapped with umeboshi plum in the center to look like the Hinomaru (Japanese flag); and umeboshi yaki onigiri stuffed with BBQ chicken, a dash of Japanese barbecue sauce, extra umeboshi—brushed with sesame oil and tamari while grilling—and sides rolled in furikake. i tried Framer Agent to build a brand guidelines... website template, something i've meant to do for a while. a site i can swap a logo, nudge a colour, update the type, and send a link instead of re-exporting a pdf nobody opens. a few observations on the AI process: - i started with references. pulled together a handful of minimalist grid layouts and had Claude describe the visual style back to me. you can do the same inside Framer, feeding it the references directly. - from there i had it write a detailed prompt aimed at that exact style, then asked it to break it into a few smaller steps. then i fed those into the agent, one at a time. - the scaffolding stage is the satisfying part. for something this grid-driven (the columns, the spans, the whole underlying structure) watching it land in seconds is hard to look away from. - but then i still have to sweat the details: text alignment, line-heights, image sizes. i don't mind it at all; it's the part i like, making these design decisions. the strength of the agent is the mundane work. point it at the stuff that eats your time: cleaning up the build, adding responsiveness, dropping in small effects, checking text and colour styles stay consistent, writing alt text for every image. then i get the time back for the parts of web design that are actually fun. 🤝show more
