Finally got around to doing some more tests with... Luma Modify. I did a few earlier that didn't work great, probably because the input was a bit too much to ask for with very complex transformations and fast motion. Also did a few tests of Runway References😍 (Last half of vid).show more

First few tests with Seed Audio 1.0 from ByteDance... and I'm loving it. In initial tests voice acting and foley seems much better than native audio from SeeDance 2. Also very cheap to experiment with. A 15 second audio test was only a couple of cents. Definitely something I could integrate into my workflow.show more

Somewhere around version twenty, the ink finally started to... feel right. Earlier versions nailed the dry-brush vibe, but anything with more water just fell apart. After countless tests, I think I’m finally seeing a bit of light.show more

Been doing a bit more work on the player... side of taunting. The first go around of this incarnation felt a bit like it was slowing the game down too much, so I reworked it to be much faster so you can weave it into combat a lot more easily.show more

Pretty... much the same thing happened, but way more terrible for him 😂 He didn't eat nothing but few of my farts, he had to carry the bags all the day and night for me and my bro, he had to both clean and cook, also got constatly mogged on public transport because I kept using his skinny legs as footrest. Spent a fantastic two days at the Circuito de... Navarra in Spain. Mostly dry and a great technical circuit. I was driving a McLaren 720s GT3 Evo with Garage59. It was great to be back with a team that I have a strong history with. I was rusty to start, it’s been a few years out of a GT3 but very happy with where we ended up after two days of testing. I had to hang up most of my engineering brain and focus on driving - and loved every second. More to follow 👀show more

Of course, that fits nicely in 32-bit hardware. Only... a few instructions. Apple put it in CarbonLib, FreeBSD also used it, and for a few decades it was kind of everywhere. A few years later they discovered that 48271 was a little better. Specifically, a bit more even on spectral tests up to 6 dimensions. It’s kind of funny that so few listened. FreeBSD was still using 16807 in rand() all the way until 2021! So if you ever see that constant in disassembled code…well now you know :) (side note: most rand() implementations moved on to other LCGs, or mersenne twisters and such…but it’s arguable that 16807 is still quite ubiquitous!)
