Thoughts on the Bears’ LT competition: Unpopular opinion: this... thing is WIDE open. Jedrick Wills didn’t move the needle much for me when the Bears signed him, but I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen in camp. I’ve played with Jason Peters, Lane Johnson, Nate Solder and some other really talented tackles. Wills has uncommon power, bend and athleticism for a man his size. He hasn’t been perfect and you can tell he’s still shaking off some rust, but you can also see why he was a top-10 pick. The athletic traits are still there: ▪️ 5.05 40 ▪️ 35” vertical ▪️ 9’5” broad jump ▪️ 34.5” arms There’s a lot to work with.
