I had a great first day with FSD v14.1.4!... Multiple hands-free, point-to-point rides with no disengagements. A few “brake stabbing” events were slightly annoying but not dangerous. However, one odd event occurred today that Tesla AI and Ashok Elluswamy may want to investigate. I was going straight on FSD, the car in front turned right. For some reason, instead of just slowing down, my car veered right, activated the right signal, and stopped, letting the car behind pass before proceeding. In Belgium, you’re legally required to stay in the... right lane on highways when there’s no traffic. Many drivers ignore this and hog the middle or left lane like seen in this video and yes, you can get fined for it. 3 Safety critical interventions in a 6-mile round trip... to the post office tonight with FSD 13.2.9. That’s 2 miles per critical intervention: 1. Goes right through a stop sign shown on map and visualization. See below. 2. At the intersection just past the stop sign, it did not yield right-of-way to oncoming traffic going straight as it was turning left. I had to emergency brake to prevent a collision. Reported. 3. After stopping and waiting at a stoplight appropriately, all of a sudden it accelerated through the stoplight for no apparent reason. I had to emergency brake before much of the car had not entered the intersection. (1) and (2) above are regularly reproducible and I have posted them earlier with videos. Anyone thinking there will be nationwide unsupervised FSD or nationwide Robotaxi this year or next year: you better think again. Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this... clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AIshow more

Here’s a solid example of the lightning quick scan... and response time that FSD is capable of. Going near 60 mph on this dark highway I could barely notice this pile of debris until I was right on top of it, but FSD saw it just in time and took appropriate evasive action avoiding what would have been a nasty hit at the very least. Tesla FSD 14.3.3 just saved me from a potential... side-swipe collision — again. Watch this: I’m cruising in the right lane at ~45 mph when the green station wagon on my left suddenly drifts over, cutting sharply into my lane and toward the shoulder. FSD spots the intrusion instantly, smoothly steers right to create maximum safe distance, and progressively slows us down while keeping everything controlled. This is exactly why FSD’s multi-camera 360° vision is such a game-changer. It sees threats from every angle faster and more reliably than a human driver possibly could, especially in these split-second “what the heck is this guy doing?” moments. I have chosen to drive my Tesla on FSD... multiple times instead of flying. In the past year, I’ve done multiple ~20-hour days driving continuously on FSD, covering over 1,000 miles daily without ever needing to touch the steering wheel. We just took a trip from Toronto to Nashville as well. It was 900 miles one way, which we completed in a single day (18 hours), and it was way more economical (and fun) than flying. Before that, I did Toronto to Austin, TX (3,200 miles round trip) TWICE in July and November — all in my Model 3 Performance. Would I attempt these drives without FSD? No way. I literally push a button on the screen, and the car handles all the charging stops, traffic, navigation, and everything. It’s so easy. Today I had my first demo drive in a... Tesla. It was also my first time ever sitting in one. This was the first car I’ve ever sat in the driver’s seat of where I didn’t touch the steering wheel for over 20 miles. Before I even got to the car, the people who had demoed it before me were an older married couple who were absolutely euphoric. They thought it was so cool that the car could drive itself. The Tesla employee told me this happens all the time. People come back from demo drives and tell the next test driver that they’re about to have an amazing experience. Little did I know, I’d end up carrying on the torch to the next couple demoing it after me. There was a ton of construction where I demoed the car, and FSD handled the entire drive extremely well. And yes, it can go through a drive-thru and stop at each window. The only thing I had to do was tap the pedal because it wouldn’t leave on its own, but it was still wild seeing the AI stop perfectly at the second window and wait. There are a million things I could write about why a Tesla feels like a better car and how much more it offers compared to a regular car. But for now, I’ll stick to FSD. There were only two moments that made me a little uneasy. The first was pretty minor. The car slightly hesitated going up a driveway, but quickly made up its mind. The second was more noticeable. I didn’t realize the car was nagging me. Once I touched the steering wheel, nothing happened, so I pulled it right a little harder, then let go. After that, the car turned left and crossed a double yellow on a backroad. (and yes I know you can sue the volume knob) I’m not totally sure if it was trying to pull over or what it was doing. I wanted to see how it would handle the situation, but there were cars coming, so I took over and corrected it. One of the coolest moments was when I thought FSD was glitching because it came to a complete stop in the middle of a busy road. Then I looked around and realized why. On the right side, there was a bicyclist waiting at a yellow crosswalk. The cars behind me didn’t honk, and the Tesla stopping actually incentivized another car in the right lane to stop and let him pass. The car is almost too nice to pedestrians, because 99.999% of humans would’ve blown through that, especially with no flashing light. For 99.9% of the drive, the car navigated confidently and smoothly. It was a real “feel the AGI” moment. Please do not let the media, the general public, or anyone else convince you that this technology is just some kind of auto assist or glorified cruise control. This is undoubtedly getting extremely close to feeling superhuman. You still have to pay attention to the road, but after experiencing it myself, I’d be shocked if HW4 Teslas aren’t unsupervised within the next couple years. The car was extremely smooth. There was no harsh braking, and it even avoided something in the road that I didn’t see. Driving with FSD made me realize I probably wasn’t driving as well as I could be. Hopefully, eventually, everyone’s car can be as mindful as a Tesla. I’ve never seen a brand so far removed from the public’s sentiment. I’m so happy I ordered one.show more

FSD literally saved my life and my wife’s tonight.... Watch carefully - a car suddenly races in and merges into our lane with almost zero gap at highway speed. On the footage it’s hard to tell just how close it was, but in that exact moment me and my wife both thought “there’s no way a human could react fast enough.” FSD did. In milliseconds it calculated the distance to our front bumper and instantly slowed down perfectly, leaving safe room. Slow-mo shows exactly how razor-close it was. The Cybertruck is hands down the best Tesla I’ve... ever owned. I’ve taken it on tens of thousands of miles on road trips, through cities, mountains, deserts, forests, and now another camping trip. The front is covered in bugs, it’s dusty, dirty, and looks like it just came back from an adventure… and honestly, to me, that’s when it looks its best. What I love most is how little I have to think about it. No oil changes. No engine maintenance. No transmission to worry about. I just charge it, rotate the tires when needed, wash it whenever I feel like it, and keep driving. Right now I’m sitting at a campsite, looking over at it, and I can’t help but smile. And every time I see it, I’m reminded why I bought it. It’s tough, insanely capable, and unlike anything else on the road. Whether it’s hauling gear, camping in remote places, or eating up highway miles with FSD, it just does everything I ask of it. No questions asked. People can debate the design all they want, hate on Elon, etc, but once you actually live with a Cybertruck, it’s hard to imagine going back to anything else. Zero regrets. Just lost ALL Autopilot, FSD, even basic cruise control... and Tesla Technical Assistance says they can’t do anything and apparently my car needs to go to a service center for a software update even though there are no warnings on the car. I got an FSD strike and the whole system went down. They said they can’t turn FSD back on and forgive the strikes remotely even though they did just that in January 2025 for the California fires. When I drove from Nevada into California back then my 4 strikes disappeared. Even the Tesla Technical Assistance Supervisor (who was very nice) says they have no way to fix the car remotely and it must go to a service center. Unfortunately, now I need to drive over 1000 miles with no type of cruise control or driver assistance at all. There are no warning lights on or anything of the sort. I even did a forced software update via the service mode and my Starlink, plus a few hard and soft reboots and that still did not fix it. Sadly the car is now less safe than it was a few minutes ago. Tonight, I tested the latest Tesla FSD build v14.2.1.25... on my Cybertruck while turning into my neighborhood—and unfortunately, the persistent phantom emergency braking bug is still there. The vehicle suddenly slams on the brakes, detecting a nonexistent “ghost” obstacle in the road. (See video) This issue first appeared with FSD v14.1 and hasn’t been resolved yet. 📍 GPS location: 28.240491, -81.606942 My nearby friend with a 2025 Cybertruck experiences the exact same problem at the same location. Notably, it happens in both FSD mode and regular manual driving—but only started after the v14.1 update. A lot of hitters confuse being late with letting... the ball get deep. They’re not the same thing. In this video I show it with a simple example. I toss the ball and reach way out in front of me to catch it. That’s what late looks like. The ball already beat you… now you’re chasing it with your hands. Then I toss another one and catch it slightly behind me. That’s being on time and letting the ball get deep. When you’re late, your body and barrel are reacting after the ball passes your window. You’re forced to reach, cut across it, or roll it over. When you’re on time, you can let the ball travel and still control it. Now the barrel can stay through the zone longer, and you can drive it with authority. Deep ≠ late. With how amazing Tesla FSD has become, I’m at... the point now where I actually prefer to drive rather than fly in most cases. FSD allows you to travel cover an incredible amount of distance without any major fatigue since the car handles 100% of the driving, charging, and parking. It also makes the trips so much more fun and rewarding. People always ask, don’t you get bored? My answer is actually no, we get to explore so many new places along the way, take in the scenery more, and it’s just overall a more pleasant experience than manually driving and stressing about which exit to take etc. FSD handles all of that for you. If you have a Tesla, or are planning to get one, I highly suggest taking it on a road trip somewhere. It’ll be the best roadtrip you’ve ever taken.show more

FSD 14.3.3 DU, first critical intervention. Drove about 100... k’s today. Mostly suburban streets. Multiple destinations, 5 separate stops (busy parking lots or residential street pullover). It was just SO good, I was mostly marveling, laughing and cheering it on. Then this happened, for no reason that I can see; a perfectly innocuous left hand turn, nothing complicated, the steering wheel got a serious case of the shimmies, and the car headed directly for the little concrete island. It happened so quickly that I took over without thinking. In hindsight, might it have made the turn? No. Might it have stopped before hitting the island? Possibly. Very uncharacteristic, hopefully something that Tesla AI can use … It drove beautifully for another 20 minutes after this, just like it had a brain fart and then got over it.show more

FSD 12.5 runs a red light I want to... share this to have a healthy discussion regarding this situation. This isn't in anyway an attempt to hate on FSD 12.5, I still believe this is the best release of FSD so far. Yesterday on my drive FSD for the first time ever (for me) decided to proceed on a VERY stale (red?) light. I was a bit surprised about its decision to do this, and I am wondering if perhaps the traffic light being set back (before the intersection starts there's a light on my left) has anything to do with this? Technically the car passes the light/stop line as it is still yellow. As a human driver I may have proceeded on this light if I was in a rush, but I am not sure if a robotaxi should make that same decision. My 7-year-old son thinks it’s completely normal for me... to play chess with him while Tesla FSD drives us. But the more I think about this… it hit me. To him, Tesla FSD may not look like some amazing piece of technology... to him it’s just normal life. He never experienced a world where every second in a car required the driver to be fully focused on steering, braking, and navigating. For him, he sees a car that safely handles the driving while Dad spends that time talking with him, teaching him, laughing with him, or playing a game of chess. That’s a pretty big shift when you really think about it. Every generation grows up taking for granted things that once seemed impossible. The internet. Smartphones. Video calls. Now we’re watching the beginning of that same transition with autonomy. For many adults, FSD still feels futuristic. For kids growing up today, it’s become the way cars work. What’s fascinating is that the biggest change is what people do with the time it gives back. Instead of staring at the road for hours, families can spend more time together, learn, work, relax, or simply enjoy the ride. My son doesn’t see autonomy as a breakthrough, like me. He sees this as normal. And that’s how I know the future is here.show more
