I finally got to try this out, and honestly,... the hand tracking totally caught me off guard. The latency is so low that moving your hand actually feels connected to what’s happening on screen, rather than just feeling like a cheap gimmick. What’s even more exciting is seeing where this kind of interaction could go next. Gaming is just the tip of the iceberg, imagine using the exact same tech for tennis, home workouts, rowing, and so much more.show more

Its not every day you wake up to find... that the Pope has made your lifes work the central focus of his papacy: “Disarming AI means freeing it from the mentality of “armed” competition [..] This entails a race for ever more powerful algorithms and larger datasets, driven by the desire to secure geopolitical or commercial dominance." - POPE LEO XIV, May 2026 Here, “disarmed” means “neutralised” in the sense that this should not be a differentiator The Innovation Game (TIG) was created to keep data and algorithms open, in order to prevent monopolistic control It's not just an aspiration, it's an economic mechanism that makes open data and open algorithms the rational economic choice • All algorithms are published openly by TIG • If you are willing to make the data you process with an algorithm open, you can use it free-of-charge • Alternatively, if you would like to keep this data private, there is a fee to pay for using the algorithm • All fees are used to fund more open innovation Its an elegant, global, self-reinforcing engine The logical end point of monopoly is that innovation stops We cannot allow that to happen Pope Leo XIV I would be grateful for your thoughts on The Innovation Gameshow more

“Cookie?” 🍪 As your toddler advances as a language... user, you may notice that sometimes one word can take on the meaning of an entire phrase or sentence. These are known as holophrases and this video, shared to IG by markvanness is a perfect (and comical) example. In this case, it turns out that “cookie?” doesn’t mean “Would you like a cookie?” - but rather “Hey, do you see this cookie I’m about to eat?” There’s really nothing funnier than parenting a toddler. 🤣show more

Foreigners coming to Ireland and calling people racist was... the most ridiculous thing I ever heard 20 years ago and it still is today. You travelled to one of the whitest countries on earth and you're shocked that you don't fit in? You left your country, where you were surrounded by your people, to come to a country that everyone on earth knows is a white country. You're not a victim, you're an eejit. The Irish are under no obligation to like foreign strangers, you are owed nothing here. How many Catholic churches are in your village in your home country? How many Irish pubs are there? Are gangs of Irish men hanging around the corners of your towns and cities back in Nigeria and Afghanistan? Are we asking your entire country to tolerate our dietary requirements and tolerate us praying in public? The only reason multiculturalism has been allowed to get this far is because the Irish are tolerant and patient. But that's gone now, our patience has run out and our tolerance has expired. You are owed nothing in Ireland. This is our country. 🇮🇪show more

Just discovered a looming issue that has been ongoing.... I had been curious why my engagement was not the same - as if something had artificially interfered, and I’ve felt this way for months, but just now have been given official confirmation- Do I feel like it makes sense to limit your reach to people because you are affiliated with brands? No. But I am also appeased knowing that the artificial barrier which had been holding my account back has been discovered and can be adjusted. My account @leviconelyfitness has posts which have reached 7,500 likes when the account has 11,000 followers. My like to view ratio is exorbitant on that profile, but even on this profile, I have healthy and thriving numbers. It’s simply that my reach to the explore page had been shut down by the administration/algorithm. I look forward to the next few stages and posts- to see how much better things could’ve been doing. Meanwhile, I’ll show you examples which can help inform you of what’s possible.show more

I personally counted like 7 buses that have moved... from Elepe junction this morning. This is not because one lousy immigrant ranted... It has always been the norm but 1 BRT bus can only pick about 60 passengers. The number of people using BRT in that vicinity is enormous. This is even nothing compared to Ikorodu garage or agric I appreciate Elepe residents for standing their ground against destructive elements. I hereby conclude to say Elepe alone has more buses than Abia and all Eastern states put together. We still mount here. I will leave for office by 9amshow more

🚨 SCIENTISTS DISCOVERED HUMAN CELLS CAN RESPOND TO SOUND... BY SWITCHING GENES ON AND OFF. Researchers found certain human cells especially fat cells react to mechanical sound vibrations by changing genetic activity. That means sound may influence biology far deeper than we realized. Why this matters: Your cells are not passive. They constantly sense: • pressure • vibration • movement • mechanical stress And now scientists are discovering those signals can directly affect gene behavior itself. In simple terms: Sound may act almost like a biological instruction signal. The implications are enormous: • regenerative medicine • targeted therapies • metabolic control • tissue engineering • non-invasive treatments • future bioelectric technologies The deeper science goes… …the more the human body starts looking less like a machine… …and more like a responsive living frequency system. What happens if biology is listening more than we ever imagined?show more

The gold standard fluid interactions on iOS are built... using in-process client animations (like SwiftUI does it) and not render-server animations (like CoreAnimation does it). This is common knowledge inside of Apple’s UI framework and system experience teams. A close inspection of iOS’s evolution reveals the gradual upgrading of system experiences written using render-server animations (that often disable user interaction) with ones using client animations (that are interruptible and interactive). The app switcher for iPhone X, the Dynamic Island, and Liquid Glass bars are prime examples of this trend. The other thing that makes these experiences feel so fluid is their use of spring animations that preserve velocity, rather than Bézier curve easing functions. To get velocity preservation, you need to be able to interrupt a spring animation and retarget it or drive it with a gesture. That’s a lot easier to do when the animation is running in the same process as the event handling. When we were first pitching SwiftUI, two of our go-to demos were a recreation of the iOS 9 navigation and Home Screen interactions which were fully interactive and interruptible, at a time when the actual implementations of those experiences in the OS disabled user interaction and ran server-side animations. CoreAnimation is great and the framework does much more than animation. You can build a fine app using its server-side animations. But if your UI framework can’t do efficient main thread client animations, there’s a ceiling to the quality of the experience your app can provide.show more
