Here’s a solid example of the lightning quick scan... and response time that FSD is capable of. Going near 60 mph on this dark highway I could barely notice this pile of debris until I was right on top of it, but FSD saw it just in time and took appropriate evasive action avoiding what would have been a nasty hit at the very least. Wow! FSD 14.3.2 just saved my cybertruck and 4... deer by stopping and swerving as I was going 73 mph in pitch dark at midnight. I didn’t touch anything. I don’t even know if I would have even reacted so fast without avoid them. So thankful for FSD 🙏🏼 This isn’t the first time it’s slowed for a deer but this is the most aggressive action it has taken to avoid and can clearly see how quick it is for reaction. Well done Tesla AIshow more

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this... clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AIshow more

Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on... FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.show more

FSD edge case from my Dad for Tesla AI... “I was going 80 mph on FSD and a polythene sheet was airborne and got stuck to my car. FSD mistook it for a solid object and braked really hard. From 80 mph to 24 mph. Luckily the car behind me was far away”show more

Tesla Self-Driving likely saved a man's life on my... commute this morning. 🥹 Pouring rain. Both of us signaled to merge into the same empty lane at nearly the same time. FSD reacted immediately. I didn't even see him until FSD was already handling it. A camera-based neural net saw a motorcyclist in a rainstorm that a human didn’t and people are still debating whether this technology works. It doesn't just work. It saves lives. Thank you Tesla AIshow more

Wrong or right behaviour from FSD? FSD at a... traffic light in Amsterdam 🇳🇱 The light was still red but FSD started to accelerate, it all worked perfectly but still… was this a right move by FSD? Maybe it learned from this situation because I drive here every single day for the last 5 years and this happens all the time so it was actually very comfortable and I liked it But was it the right thing to do? You tell me!show more

I find this clip very interesting. Tesla FSD 14.1.7... sees leaves on the road, slows down, and avoids them by moving to the other side. The concept of avoiding road objects exists; it just needs to better distinguish what is what.show more

Here is an example of what I mean by... my post I quoted. There was nothing on the road, yet FSD 14.2 went over the line and ripples to avoid whatever it may have imagined. I was startled for a second and can only imagine the shock for someone trying FSD for the very first time. No, the car in the opposite lane did not come over to my side either Again, that alone would have been enough for my wife's solid "Nope, I am not using that." (I filtered out my voice, as I was on the phone.)show more

Tonight, on a long-ass five-hour work drive, I truly... realised the power of FSD. Tired and listening to a podcast, a car around a corner had broken down and suddenly appeared but before I could take over, FSD glided around the car and we continued on… In my spike of adrenaline, I pushed save clip and lived to share another day. Maybe on a full ‘tank’ I’d have been quick enough to do the same manoeuvre, but this was literally at the end of my day and I was pretty low energy. Phew for FSD.show more

I want to say first off FSD V14.3.11 has... been incredibly smooth for me all morning. I've done ~3 hours of driving today and other than some left lane camping on the highway I could have been asleep in the back of the car the whole time and nothing bad would have happened. Most of the time it feels like we are so close to unsupervised... BUT there are still issues that are worth talking about, and this video showcases one of them. For 1+ year now FSD has ignored this left turn lane and always uses it to go straight through this intersection. There are several others near my house where the car does the same thing. When I approached it this morning after installing 14.3.11 I had hoped it would have fixed it, but it doesn't seem like it. I'm not sure if we are waiting on V15 to solve issues like this - but ignorning turn only lanes is a potentially big deal... so I hope this is something that can get fixed soon.show more

FSD took me into the HOV lane yet again... today despite me being the only passenger in the car. This time when I yanked it back into non-HOV lane and tried to engage FSD again, it blinked red asking me to take over immediately and displayed a message on screen saying FSD aborted due to system error. I had to drive manually for the rest of the trip. I thought I got a FSD strike but nope, I was all clear. FSD v12.6.4 continues to fail. 👎 Tesla Elon Musk Ashok Elluswamyshow more

Tang Jing, president of 1st product line of LI... Auto, was asked about his experience with FSD in a recent interview. Here is his response: “I came here today by driving with FSD engaged. I think it’s incredibly good. I think FSD gives a very good sense of safety when changing lanes on the highway. Frankly speaking, it provides a better sense of safety than what we’ve achieved (referring to the intelligent driving system from LI Auto)”show more

One capability I want to see Tesla AI ensure... FSD has is understanding situations like this where a trash loaded trailer is on the highway at speed and the software understands this could be a situation where debris might blow out of the trailer and move back or over to another lane. That’s what most humans would do and it’s to protect from potential future damage or a dangerous situation.show more

Posting this as a Tesla FSD public service and... the outside chance Tesla see’s this. Yesterday FSD nearly drove into the concrete jersey barrier on hwy 17 as I was traveling to Santa Cruz California. I intervened a fraction of a second before impact. This video doesn’t show the event but does show the conditions a few minutes later when I thought to honk the horn to save a clip. I have used FSD for years and this was the most epic fail. Note that there is little margin for error. I am on hw3 and have NOT received 14 lite Tesla AI Elon Musk Please tag the appropriate team if you can.show more
