How it (Re) Started VS How It’s Going! 💙🍾🍾🍾... I know y’all are tired of hearing me tell the story about how nine seasons ago this team gave our son RJ -who was told that his autism would prevent him from ever having “meaningful employment” -to now being a clubhouse attendant on arguably the best team in baseball! 🙏🏽He was one of the first people to welcome Kiké Hernandez back to the team last year… and then last night …#8morewins Los Angeles Dodgers 💙🍾🍾🍾🍾 #nlcs #DodgersWinshow more

Vernon talking about this video from 2018 😆 Q:... V8 is the name of your unit and your album. How did you come up with that? 🐻‍❄️ : That's actually quite far back. About ten years ago we were in an arcade with some other SEVENTEEN members. We split into teams to play different games, and The 8 and I competed under that team name. I still remember how the other teams made fun of us because the name sounds like an American tomato juice brand. When it came to giving this project a name, this name came to our thing again - and somehow it fit perfectly with our sound.show more

Our proverbial door is always left open for the... ex-orphans to come visit. After eight months away, Chemi Chemi just sauntered in! We rescued Chemi Chemi in June 2009 from Loisaba Conservancy – a young bull, eight months old, in desperate need of food and company. Brought to Nairobi where we gave him one-to-one care from our Keepers and the comfort and company of a new herd, he recovered. When he outgrew the Nursery, he graduated to our Ithumba Reintegration Unit alongside his bull friends – and the rest, as they say, is history. Nineteen years on from his rescue, Chemi Chemi is wild. Those friendships from his Nursery days and the bonds forged with his Keepers are still going strong – he still drops by our Ithumba Unit every few months. Wondering how we know its him? Check out his raggedy, holey ears, all unique identifiers of our beloved bull.show more

AFCON 2025 🇲🇦 You cant blame a country for... fans failing to turn out for every match in an AFCON tournament. The problem in Africa is that we are poor in mentality and wealth. Our friends in Europe plan to watch such games a year in advance and they travel to watch them Where it is hosted. For them, things like going on vacation and enjoying recreational activities like football ⚽️ is part of life. Fans from Africa failing to travel for AFCON is not a Moroccan 🇲🇦 problem. It’s an issue with lack of patronage for African football from we Africans. The onus lies with football fans in Africa like yourself and myself to play your own part by buying tickets and going to support your team at live games at AFCON. This is how it is done in other continents, it’s not rocket science. CAF also has to come up with promotional strategies to increase awareness and fan participation across Africa. Even if AFCON was held in Nigeria 🇳🇬 you don't expect all fans to go and watch Benin play Angola fans from those countries must also come and support their teams its their duty . In Africa we are more obsessed with English Premier league and European football ⚽️ forgetting to dance in our yard before we dance Abroad. Soka25east.comshow more

The past year has seen me have a renaissance,... in the truest sense… I won’t go into details now but will at some point before long. What has brought so much happiness to my life and those around me this past year has been my falling back in love with sport. Cycling has, and always will be, my number one. Yet I’d forgotten that I simply love sport, not for results but for the sheer joy of doing it, I’d completely forgotten that the health of my mind is intrinsically connected to the health of my body. I’ve rediscovered the love I had for sport that existed before the world of professional cycling took over in the way it did. I’ve been pushing myself and trying new things this past year, indifferent to the results, just out having fun and at times going deeper than I thought I was capable of anymore. Last week I got on a TT bike for the first time in a decade, Factor Bikes built me a bike, I’ve been looking at it for two years and decided it was time to get fitted, getting back on it felt like going home. Anyway, the long and the short of this is that it’s inspired me to create a club to inspire and be inspired. A community for us to share our love for getting out there and doing it, because I’ve realized that although I spend most of my sporting life on my own I derive the most pleasure when feeling part of something. It’s in its early days, I’ve called it Sporting Club CHPT3 aka SCC3, I’d love you to check it out and join. It’s still in its infancy, but I hope it’s going to grow into something that will inspire you as much as me.show more

I am 30 years old today. 4th July 1995.... I started tweeting about 5 years ago. 25. In Thailand. Agency business. Some semblance of freedom. Escaped office wage cuckery hell. Working for myself. Doing it my way. I shared how I got to that point. Then came crypto. 2021. An ‘easy’ way to make money online. Especially if you knew good traders. Then came Money Dojo, which spawned from crypto, and realising all online money is made with other people. Last year was a breakout year. Tons of dojo ninjas made their first 5-6 figures in online money, mostly through crypto. 2025 can 10x that in the second half if our plans come to fruition and the stars align. It’s our time. Carol Vorderman, "Never, ever, in my lifetime, have I... seen what is patently a corrupt government like this one. Where they are taking from the poor and they are giving to the already rich" CV has authored a book, "Out of order" where she calls out this behaviour, and she's going on tour in September. More at this link: Whether it's the lies of Brexit driven by Boris Johnson, or relaxing Treasury rules and approving £ billions during covid, most of which we now know to be fraud, approved by then Chancellor Rishi Sunak. Our economy is being trashed with Brexit red tape, our country is being robbed by now PM's bad decision making, and we are being sold a NI tax cut as a good thing, when our services like schools and the NHS are both literally crumbling. The Conservative party of 14 years keep saying they have a plan, yet every one of their plans have made things worse for our country. And their constant voting to repeatedly dump raw sewage in our rivers and seas, what a disgrace. Our political landscape is in desperate need of decent people speaking out. A few celebs have had the courage to do so, and no doubt CV's book tour will be a wonderful and welcoming night out. Do check it out 👍show more

"How many are needed? How many are needed? How... many try to ride my wave? How many want my name? How many have discipline? How many understand? How many have been where I've been? How many understand me from the inside?" — LISA, SaWaDiKa This lyric hits even harder when you look at Lisa’s journey. Each question feels like she’s asking the industry and the people who tried to define, profit from, or replace her: “How many are needed?” How many people would it take to replace Lisa? She has become a complete artist—singer, rapper, dancer, performer, fashion figure, and now an artist building her own company and career outside the system that created her. “How many try to ride my wave?” Lisa created a wave of her own, and there will always be people trying to benefit from it, imitate it, or capitalize on her name and influence. But riding someone’s wave is not the same as creating it. “How many want my name?” Her name has become a powerful identity and brand. Even the fact that her name became part of a trademark dispute after YG registered “LISA” highlights how valuable that identity became. Yet Lisa herself is the person who gave that name its meaning. “How many have discipline?” This one may be the most powerful. Lisa started singing and dancing as a child. At 14, she left Thailand alone to pursue her dream in another country, entering an unfamiliar environment and enduring years of intense training. She has spoken about how she didn’t dare speak up or express her thoughts and had been living that way since she was 14. And that brings us to: “How many understand me from the inside?” People can copy a hairstyle. They can copy an outfit. They can chase numbers. They can try to follow a formula. But they cannot copy the years that made Lisa who she is. They didn’t live through her childhood training. They didn’t leave their home country at 14. They didn’t spend years learning to survive in an industry where they felt they couldn’t even speak their mind. They didn’t carry the pressure, criticism, racism, sexism and misogyny she faced while continuing to work toward her dream. That’s why “How many?” feels less like arrogance and more like a challenge. How many can actually do what I did? How many can endure what I endured? How many can understand what it took to become me? There may be many talented people. There may be many who want her position. There may even be people trying to find the “next Lisa.” But there is only one Lisa. 🖤 And perhaps the most powerful thing she’s doing now is finally having the freedom to say all of this in her own voice. 📝 New Thai Slang: สาดไปสมาชิก Pronounced: Sad-pai-sa-ma-chik 📖 Meaning:... Send it, just go for it, go get it, go ahead, let’s do it, let’s hit it, go all in, etc Example: 1️⃣ A seller says > Sad pai samashik > Meaning: Girl, just buy it, You gotta get it, Go get it! 2️⃣ Should we do it? : Sad pai samashik Meaning: Let’s fucking do it, Send it, I’m down 3️⃣ Someone suggests an idea : Sad pai samashik Meaning: Let’s go all out for this, Let’s go, Fuck it, we ball 🔤 —- word by word —- 🔤 - “สาด” (sad) means to splash or to throw, and is commonly used in phrases like สาดน้ำ (splash water), สาดกระสุน (spray bullets), สาดเสียเทเสีย (hurl insults) - “ไป” (pai) means go - “สมาชิก” (samachik) literally means member, as in someone who belongs to the same group or crew. ❓Where did it come from? This phrase originally became popular in more niche communities, particularly among Thai fight commentators, cockfighting circles, and gambling-related groups. In its original context, “สาด” (sad) was used to describe betting big, going all in, and putting serious money on the line. It was basically a hype phrase used to get people fired up and push them to go for it without holding back like “Don’t hold back. Go all in!” “สมาชิก” (samashik) was used as a playful way to address ppl within the same circle or group. So the overall feeling was something like “Come on, guys, let’s go all in!” > From there, the phrase made its way beyond its original niche communities and started popping up across sports circles and social media. Ppl gradually began using it in a much broader, more casual way, completely removed from its original gambling context. #ONENIGHTwithMISTINExLINGLING #หลิงหลิงคอง #linglingkwongshow more

Next up, something I haven't REALLY managed to get... working for a long time is synchronized, uncalibrated videos for person tracking. Whenever I used something like vggt, there was just enough residual error that it didn't work and gave crap results. I have a version now in Rerun that takes time-synced, but uncalibrated sparse videos -> calibrated, gravity-aligned videos within a reasonable error. Yellow cameras are basically the naive vggt cameras (actually g3t in this case), and blue ones are after running the optimization post-processing pipeline. Kornia has been shipping some cool stuff recently; in particular, they have an easy-to-use bundle adjustment pipeline in rust with kornia-rs. I was trying to use pycolmap but I kept having issues with it so it was a really nice alternative. I'm going to be pumping out more huggingface Gradio spaces soon so this will be the next one 🫡 Fable has gotten really good at making images. its a TLDR on how it worksshow more
