I made a nice little customization to the Rigify... rig. Rigify has a setting to switch between "toe-tip roll" and "toe on the ground" ... but it's a property. To bring it to the viewport I set a driver to switch between the two states by scaling of the heel control. Then I created some shapekeys for the shape of the control to make it reflect the state of the foot. Also, there is a dot on the shape which is controlled by another shapekey. The dot is big only when the toe is fully down or fully up, otherwise it's tiny. #b3d #rigify #rigtipshow more

Choppers. The goal is to get the ball close... to the plate so it goes straight up. The longer it’s in the air, the harder it is for the defense to throw you out. I put a bucket a couple feet in front of the plate so it gave me a visual on where to place the ball. Hands go straight down while barrel stays straight up on the way to contact. It's a little clunky, I still have to go... frame by frame and make things match and it only works for specific situations (the more similar the key frames look the better) but the shape tween has been incredibly helpful for clean up, specially for the line work I'm going for.show more
