Someone left a comment stating that no one should... make a career out of network infrastructure work. This is me as a network technician in 2023. I’ve just completed my CCNA. Today, I’m a network security engineer, and not only do I sit on my ass and configure the gear, but I install them, trace fiber and all. Networking is a continuous journey, and there are some snobby “Sr” engineers that frown upon technicians and look down on them. If it wasn’t for this job, I would not have been the engineer I am today and none of you would be following me asking me how to become a network engineer. Please learn the physical shit, too.
