i spent 4 dollars to make this post Akali... 3H single routing structure with positioning optimizations these range from bnb territory to psychotic, but mainly putting together as an example for combo limits / optimization adjustments on the fly. You can always 2 hit walljump / do single hit jM to reduce some length and maintain the routing if combo time is a concern. For the third and fourth combos, there are 2 versions - one that optimizes for limit strike damage / combo time, and one that sends in extra air normals for 5s2 oki. Just posted both as an example, but routing like this also helps bridge the gap on 5s2 damage if you'd like to use that. Notes: 1) Corner to corner, keep in mind extra normals will increase the pushback and leave you closer to corner by the end, reducing frame adv from the tumble. 2) Nearing corner (starting about 75% of the stage away) adjustment on the ender for when the tumble has less frame adv, just cram in more air normals and save your double jump. 3) Here's where you'll start to see corner adjustments - round start position, this ends up being the starter for max damage midscreen, but if you were to reach the corner after the apex of your second jump loop arc, you can squeeze in extra minimum damage for a notable increase. Fortunately also maximizes corner carry while pushing damage. 4) In corner route. Stupid hard wrt combo time, just posting as an example of combo limits. you can probably just opt for above, but it does get an extra min damage source in. Alternatively, learn an easier combo lol. Have similarly structured stuff for 2H, will probably get to it later.show more

Immortality bug To make it work, follow these steps... carefully: 1. Select an urn with low HP (you can also select one with maximum HP, but it will take longer to destroy). 2. Wait to take damage. 3. When your HP reaches 1, buy and sell Extra Health. 4. You are immortal. Keep in mind that if you lose the urn, you will be left with 1 HP. You can use this to steal urns without fear of taking damage. Or you can use it to take damage from midboss/walker etc. #deadlockshow more

Still pondering the ramifications of the bomb changes to... gameplay. I am curious about 2 current outcomes since the update. 1HP damage happening no matter where you are on the map. Is this intentional or just an unintended side effect? And if it is intentional, what is the purpose of being condemned to death at 1HP if the bomb detonates no matter how far from the C4 you are. The second being no damage to armour. It is rare that you live long enough to replenish armour, but bomb damage is usually one of the key ways players have their armour unknowingly chipped away at. But again is this an intentional change or just something that has arisen due to the change in the mechanic? I am not concerned with the debate around the indicator for bomb damage range being noobfriendly. This type of conversation has been happening for well over a decade now whenever new features are added. Some people will view it as a quality of life upgrade, others will view it as removing a skill they either have, or believe, should be learnt and not spoonfed by the UI - either way I would prefer to focus on the outcomes of the gameplay.show more

HOW TO DRIFT IN FORZA HORIZON 6 ON CONTROLLER... FOR BEGINNERS! Disclaimer, I’m not exactly Drift King, some people make me look like Donkey Kong. I do it well enough for people who are completely new to drifting to ask me how I do it, so I’m going to explain how I do it, as someone who is “decent” at best at it. First of all, you’re going to want to change your transmission to Manual so that you can maintain a consistent drift, as the speed of your vehicle determines the angle of your drift, and with Automatic, you can’t control your speed. It doesn’t matter, just personal preference here, you can do your gear changes with the buttons, but if you own an Elite Controller, you can put the paddles to good use here. I like to equip only two paddles, preferably the larger ones, and map the left to X (Downshift) and map the right to B (Upshift). You also want to turn off your Traction and Stability control assists to allow your car to slide. My vehicle of preference is the Silvia Spec R, and the code for the tune I use is 146 936 201. I am using a RWD Vehicle for reference, but some people prefer AWD. For the most part, you’re going to be driving in third and fourth gear. Third gear is great for small roads and tight, closed corners where you need a sharper drift, and fourth gear is great for wide roads and corners because the extra speed is going to throw your car further forwards and make your drift angle more shallow. It’s important to look at the size of the road and the corner you have to take and judge what gear you need to be in as the speed of your car makes all of the difference. That being said, these are not real cars, if you’re going too fast, I much prefer to hold the gas and brake pedal at the same time whilst taking the drift as opposed to engine braking. It almost makes you float around the corner at a consistent speed and gives you more control. If you are on the inside edge of the corner you’re taking, you can hold your foot brake and handbrake at the same time and your car will almost push back a little giving you more space to angle yourself correctly. COACHES: So many teams at higher levels are swarming... on the PK on 50/50 pucks in the corner. I love this mentality but you have to be detailed and all your players have to be on the same page. On this goal, VAN tries swarm as the puck goes to the corner off the retrieval. But watch the VAN forward - he needs to seal the wall and not allow the low to high keeping it contained in the corner. He has his stick up and is a step late allowing the puck to go up to the point. CGY then does a great job attacking quick before VAN can get back into lanes and their structure. Playing aggressive like this is a great mentality, but for it to work it has to be ALL IN with everyone detailed and doing their job. Great teaching clip!!show more

Tip of the day: Here are a few laning... phase tips for Mina from Neema : 1. Play slow in the lane until you unlock rake. If you get early priority on the 1:30 wave then you will kill a minion and get rake and use it before 1 minute & 44 seconds, this timer is so that the cooldown comes back up for when you invade or secure the T1 camp at 2:00. (2nd camp timer is to use rake by 3:14) 2. In lanes where you are versing high health pool champ an example being mo, you want to play slow & safe until 2.6k spike when you get 2 points rake and from there you can play to spam rake every 8 seconds. Although in squishy lanes you can hard win before but its still good to wait for 2.6k to be safe. 3. Try and rake low health minions at the same time that you rake the enemy so you can heal & clear wave while also hitting them. 4. At 5.2k with 2 points rake and bite, you are one of the strongest champs in the game and deal an absurd amount of damage. Once you hit the spike you should be playing to kill players, towers, and invade their camps instead of afk farming your side. 5. Lastly, Once you reach 9k souls with max rake you have infinite sustain for camps.show more

Here's what's coming next for the Fondant Custom Normals... Addon: Adjustable 3D anime face proxy mesh! If you've tried the proxy method before, you know that it can be difficult to get good results as you need the right topology and shape for good Normals, and also for it to fit to the face properly for a clean transfer. The solution is to use two proxies: one for the shape, and one for the fitting. But that gets cumbersome! And it is still often unintuitive to get the correct shading shapes. The next major feature of the addon will be aiming to solve these problems by providing a convenient proxy mesh that you can fit to your character's face with some rig controls, and then handles the rest under the hood with Geometry Nodes. All the benefits of complexity without having to deal with it yourself! This clip shows the general idea, but is early stages. I'll be sharing more as I build it out.show more

Taking a look at Camera based changes to the... Face Proxy Normals. 3D anime characters have the fundamental problem that Normals which produce the right shading from the front often don't from 3/4ths and side view without making big compromises. On this character, the puffiness of the cheeks means it doesn't work right. If we reduce them, we ruin the silhouette of the geometry. If we change the Normals further around the side to get a shading terminator that does work in both views, then when the light moves it will probably have new problems at other angles. There are combos that work pretty well for every angle, but they limit your face shape options. Everything is easier if you can make Camera based changes! This is rotating the Normals on the proxy before transfer to the face in Geometry Nodes. Its the same as rotating the bones shown at the start. Since there are only 3 spline profiles, its a bit low res to get this quite right, but you get the general idea. Its going to take some experimenting to figure out the best way to handle it all, but it will be much easier to author on the proxy than on the face.show more

After starting the year with 2 top 10s to... qualify for the Arnold Palmer and The Players, Joel Dahmen missed both those cuts and had to get an Uber to Monday Qualifying for the Valspar. He missed at qualifying, but got in the field anyway as an alternate and now has shot rounds of 72 and 70 to make the cut. After the round, he spoke about how grounding life on the PGA Tour can sometimes be: “Look, life on the PGA Tour is amazing. Wouldn't trade it for anything but also people probably don't see behind the scenes as much and so I got the family on the road, which is great, but it also can be difficult when you drive across the state on Sunday, get into a new place, you have to unpack, get them all ready, got to get groceries in the house, all those little things, thankfully my wife does most of that. “But then I had a 9:30 tee time and it was about an hour away and we didn't have another car. So I didn't have time to grab another one. Most developers can't explain how Single Sign-On (SSO) works.... ​ This was one of my favorite questions during technical interviews. I love to ask about it because it's not a trivial topic. ​ Here is a 5-minute overview of how Single Sign-On works. ​ We all hate passwords; the less we use them, the better, and SSO helps with that. ​ When you log in to Google once and visit YouTube, Gmail, Drive, and any other connected service without re-entering your password, three players are working behind the scenes: ​ • A user trying to access an application. You, in this case. • The application you want to access. For example, YouTube. • An Identity Provider (IDP) that will verify your identity. Google, in this case. ​ Here is what happens when you try to access one application for the first time: ​ 1. You try to log in to YouTube, and the application redirects you to the Identity Provider (IDP) for authentication. ​ 2. The IDP (Google) checks your credentials and confirms your identity. It creates a new session for you on its server and sets a session cookie in your browser. ​ 3. The IDP also creates a token for YouTube—a small piece of data that contains information about your identity. ​ 4. Your browser grabs the token and presents it to YouTube. ​ 5. YouTube checks the token, and if it is valid, lets you in. ​ But then you want to access Google Drive: ​ 1. You go to Google Drive, and the application redirects you to the IDP. ​ 2. The IDP recognizes that you are still logged in because you have the session cookie. It doesn't need to ask for your credentials. ​ 3. Instead, the IDP generates a new token for Drive. ​ 4. Your browser grabs the token and presents it to Google Drive. If the token is valid, Drive lets you in. ​ You can now access multiple applications without re-entering your password. This is probably one of the best things we've invented since sliced bread! ​ But, of course, implementing Single Sign-On is a nightmare! If you are a developer, don't try to reinvent the wheel.
