We brought an interactive Live2D showcase to the biggest anime con in Indonesia, featuring over 20 finest models created by our local artists and riggers. This showcase also included a custom-made plugin for VTube Studio that adds touch interactivity to Live2D models, allowing visitors to interact with VTuber models in a more engaging way! Lots of calls to the hospital now are from... people who have acidentally disturbed a nest. The most important rule is immediately (and I mean immediately, every second counts so no photo taking!) put everything back as you found it and urgently call a good established rescue for advice. We're coming into the height of baby season now so this is particularly important, and could mean the difference between life and death for the babies. Pregnant hedgehogs build two or three maternity nests, in case the chosen nest becomes uninhabitable (from flooding or predators for example). This means mum can quickly move her babies without having to leave them to find bedding and build. BUT.. Moving babies isn't a cute, Disney-esque event. It's a dire emergency. It's difficult, sometimes painful, and fraught with danger and tragedy. Babies get dropped, the ones left in the new nest may wander out while mum is back getting the next one from the old nest, and mum will be suffering extreme stress. Prevention is always better than cure so please be extra careful in the garden during this baby season. Before doing anything, think hedgehog. Anything left undisturbed for long will be seen as an attractive nesting place: Beneath a shed/wendy house/decking Inside a shed Inside a compost bag/rubbish bag Under piles of rubbish/wooden palettes Under furniture/barbeque covers Taking a moment to gently check before moving could save precious little lives.show more

#ProjectNewZealand Day 3/4/5: 28km/51km/17km After a long day on... the move yesterday, I found myself still on the trail late into the night. Phone dead. Head torch fading. Miles from my team. Nearly 50km deep, I’d bowled through forests, mountains, rivers, whatever New Zealand had thrown my way. But moving through it all at night was a different kettle of fish, and I was starting to think I’d slightly overcooked this one. With just a few emergency bits on me, I navigated off my watch and eventually stumbled across a hut. Inside, to my surprise, was a Canadian lad I’d met a few days before. He lent me a sleeping bag liner, and I wrapped up with my foil blanket like a human baked potato. The kindness of strangers coming through yet again. Not every day goes to plan on these projects, but that’s kind of the point. The best adventures aren’t the ones that run smoothly, they’re the ones that force you to adapt, push through, and trust that the next turn in the trail might just bring exactly what you need.
