Martin Scorsese’s Taxi Driver was heavily influenced by the... hitman-for-hire classic Murder by Contract. Travis Bickle’s home workout sequence was inspired by a similar scene in the film. As Scorsese has said: “This is the film that has influenced me most… There’s a getting-in-shape sequence that’s very much like the one in Taxi Driver. The spirit of Murder by Contract has a lot to do with Taxi Driver.” “It gave us an inside look into the mind of a man who kills for a living, and it was pretty frightening.”show more

"This film won in Venice only because it was... made by Israelis, if it was made by Palestinians, it wouldn't even be in the programme" This is true and this sucks. It's an indictment against the festivals, against the mainstream media, against the powers that be. But this is not a criticism towards the film's creators. If they hadn't submitted the film to the competition, the award wouldn't have been given to a Palestinian film. The genocide just wouldn't have been mentioned in the programme at all.show more

Naoya Inoue Was This Close To Touching The Canvas‼️... If Tapales would have landed one more hard punch in that sequence, Inoue would have likely went down..Not saying he wouldn’t have gotten up but after that punch landed he had no idea where he was…😵‍💫 Credit to Tapales for capitalizing on Inoue’s “bad foot positioning” in that moment…If he’d followed it up with a straight left down the middle who knows what the outcome would have been..😬 #Boxingshow more

Trump made a new statement today on the 2022... Battle of Kyiv: “They got stuck in the swamp, almost like in quicksand. It was mud, like quicksand. They could not move. If that general had just gone straight on the concrete highway, that speaks volumes. That is why war is always associated with risk. If he had just moved straight on the highway to the city, they would have been in Kyiv in four hours and Ukraine would have been able to do nothing. This war would have ended in 1 day. This was 4.5 years ago. It was a huge mistake. The general decided to go through the field instead of the road and highway”show more

MiniMax H3 is insane. I wanted to see if... it could handle a full game-style cinematic, not just one good-looking shot. So I gave it a scene with an ancient water temple, a glowing artifact, a giant stone guardian, and a fast escape sequence. A lot could have gone wrong. The character could have changed. The environment could have broken. The camera could have lost the action. The sound could have felt completely disconnected. But the whole sequence stayed surprisingly consistent. The character, camera movement, water, lighting, action, and audio all felt like they belonged in the same world. It still has small flaws, but this feels much closer to creating a real game cutscene than generating random AI clips. Made with MiniMax H3. Hailuo AI (MiniMax) #MiniMaxH3show more
