I'm bullish on a Florida State OF Max Williams... breakout going into 2025. Whiff% fell 8 percent in 2024; in-zone whiff% fell 14%. Chase% skyrocketed, but bat-to-ball metrics out of zone made considerable strides. Evolving swing. Will flash 70-grade raw power. Fringy runner with solid arm strength though he's shown above average routes and reads in the outfield. Can handle CF in a pinch. Some athletic traits to like. Just 20 years old for the Draft. A name to keep an eye on for the... #Yankees is Reds LHP Nick Lodolo. When comparing to MacKenzie Gore, Lodolo has a superior GB%, BB%, same yrs of control, same age & figures to cost less due to Gore’s strong K%. And while Gore provides a similar look as Fried & Rodon (all same arm angle 44-46 degrees), Lodolo is closer to Sale’s extreme arm angle (15 degrees). NYY could likely get more out of his K% given their track record of velo gains and Lodolo’s strong whiff and chase rates. Cincy’s SP depth is fantastic, while they are projected for the 5th lowest OF WAR in MLB. A trade around Dominguez/Jones makes sense.show more
