Introducing a new beta from the Black Lotus Team... and BLC Dev Bam76. The Bams 9mm Thompson. We just wrapped up the early alpha testing of the final version and are pushing to beta. The main beta will be to finish up documentation since the overall build won't have major changes besides different options for the CNC bolt. The only part that would be considered OG would be the magazine catch spring. It uses an AR-15 FCG with a slightly modified hammer, A slightly modified ar-15 extractor, and a trimmed down ar-15 firing pin. It has a custom CNC bolt, but in the beta later we will explore SCS bolt to lower cost. Everything else is 3d printed parts and standard hardware with a couple of bolts that need to be trimmed to fit.show more

We have 6 different models of CNC machines already... designed and validated for production but we would need crores to scale up production and offer it to other manufacturers. Hence, we only build machines for our own production facility. Capital is a bottleneck for us. Currently we just have a tiny space within our own factory which is our R&D lab. We are a team of mere three people. Scaling hardware isn’t easy but it’s something that must be done for us to truly be self-reliant. We just released a new marketing site and I... wanted to talk through some of the changes that we made and why. Design thinking is the other side of the feed, it's usually more nuanced than the flashier parts and typically doesn't hold up as well to a quick scroll. Doesn't bode well for this thread! But, this will be my attempt to talk through the changes made and why. First up, this is our new hero. At Loops.so, our goal right now is to be the only platform you need to email your users The H1 matches that intention and the subheader reinforces it. We also wanted it to be clear we ship fast and often, so we added a pill showing the latest featured changelog. Agents are part of how people build software today, so we wanted to give that the second most important placement on the page, right after signup. Finally, the logo strip should not distract too much, but it should still help people understand these are users, not just logos. So we added the date of first payment from Stripe next to each logo. A lot of you are thinking that the spring... which we will supply to Prakash Dadlani will be produced at the speed of 1304 ppm. That’s not true. All springs are not made on one kind of machine. The CNC machine we built that produces springs up to 1304 ppm manufactures compression springs. Whereas, the springs for Prakash bhai will be made on one of our 12-axis CNC wire forming machine. And on this the speed is much slower but it has flexibility to produce a number of different kinds of springs and wire forms. The design, type, materials, wire diameter and profile, features and precision of the springs defines what kind of machine will be used. It’s not one machine that does it all. This video is of that springs being manufactured on our other CNC machine. Also, the operator is setting the spring up that is why he is using his hands.
