Here’s a look at my AR keychain prototype !!... 🥹🩷 You can swap out icons (for now only the ones i’ve animated… and u know there's is a lot!!), scan it trough filters (for now) and my animation shows up I actually started with a card format at first, but i wanted to spend more time on the designs, so i went with keychains for the first release, i didn’t want to make regular keychains either, and bringing AR together with my animations lets people actually "hold" them instead of them just living on my pc, it makes them feel alive and interactive, something i’ve wanted to try ever since the Nintendo 3ds AR cards 🥹 This is my 4th prototype gulp, and my 5th is already done Will be 3D, look and feel better, will be thinner, doesn’t need the rotating system anymore etc.. Material comforts. ‘Nice things’. It is easy for men to get this misunderstanding, because women will constantly tell you they DO want ‘stuff’. Just like how children will tell you they want stuff: • “I want this present!” • “Will you buy me that gift?” • “A new version of that came out! Trust me when I say this… life is so... much better when you’re living on your own terms and chasing your own dreams instead of spending your life building someone else’s. I know because I’ve lived both. I spent 8 years at Apple. From the outside, it looked like I had it all. I was paid well, worked with incredibly smart people, and got to help build some of the best products in the world. I’m grateful for that experience because it taught me a lot. But deep down, I was never fully fulfilled. No matter how great the job was, I was still helping someone else achieve their vision. I wanted the freedom to build my own, take my own risks, and create something that was truly mine. Today, I’m my own boss. Literally no one can tell me what to do, where to be, how to act, or anything. There are definitely harder days. There’s more uncertainty, more responsibility, and no guaranteed paycheck. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The feeling of waking up every morning knowing you’re building your own future is hard to describe. Every win feels truly earned. Every setback teaches me something. And every day has purpose because I’m moving toward a dream that belongs to me. Yes, money matters, stability matters. But time, freedom, and having control over your own life matter much more imo. You only get one life. If you have a dream that won’t leave you alone, don’t ignore it forever. The life that Ironmouse has... I wouldn't wish it... on the worst of my enemies. CVID, combined variable immunodeficiency... basically means the common cold or less can kill you. Going outside, interacting with normal people, can be a death sentence. She needs constant and expensive treatments, plasma infusions, and drugs that cost a fortune... a prisoner in your own body in your own home requiring constant outside care. Costs easily reaching in the 6 figures or more. In addition, her body is already damaged, leading to her voice being quite "strange". Her lungs and body don't function like a normal person's, and even with the best available medical care, one bad turn could be the end of it. For a while, she was bedridden, unable to have any level of real mobility. That comes with real psychological costs as well. So, in many ways, I don't blame her for compromising principles in order to get the bag. She has also worked to donate large sums of money to the CVID foundation for research, and currently AI is making a lot of headway towards better detection and hints at better personalized care. AI acceptance rates in 2026 are already rising, especially when people are seeing a range of benefits for medicine, cancer vaccines, and new drugs for rare diseases never thought possible before. Especially because the underlying core technology, machine learning, drives these innovations. Now LLM-based AI agents are parsing through genetic variants at speeds that no human can match. AI is designing custom sequences with accuracy never seen before. And it's all the same core tech: machine learning and neural networks drive AI art and AI medicine. The main differences are the training data, the loss functions, failure-mode criteria, validation pipelines, and various architectural differences. So yeah, I'm expecting more people to be accepting of AI once they see their loved ones saved by AI-powered medicine... the controversy of "AI art" ends up feeling quaint when lives are at stake. and i'm sure at some point ironmouse will come around to being okay with AI, and her audience will follow her no matter what.show more

After a few more hours, I think I've figured... out Opus 5. Opus 5 is trained to be more agentic than anything I've used. All Claude 5 models are like that. So what changes? The way to interact with Opus 5 or contextualize it won't work the same way as with other models. It loves exploring, so it doesn't need much guidance for it. Unique preferences, artifacts, and references compliment it well and enable cleaner and more effective exploration and execution. Now that it can explore more effectively on its own and understand intent better, the best thing to do is to get out of its way (e.g., it doesn't need examples of your preferences; a clear high-level description of it works best). It's truly agentic in that sense. A good first step to provide better context for Opus 5 is to distinguish between what's situational and what needs persistence. Regardless, persistent system prompts and CLAUDE.MD needs to stay lightweight. Remove memories and tool descriptions from these. CLAUDE.MD is also a great place to tap into progressive disclosure by linking command/skills to it. On the situational side, agent skills and auto-memory can leverage progressive disclosure and the improved ability of the model to use its external context/knowledge. Conflicting and unnecessary instructions, which are common at this layer (mainly to ensure reliability), are going to throw off this model easily. That's the biggest change I had to make. Simple, clean, and clear prompts and skills work best. I had to clean a lot of my skills and system prompts. The way I prompt remains the same (usually clear and well-scoped). MCP tool descriptions are also more descriptive and have been deduped from the system prompt. Anthropic released a guide on the new rules for context engineering, which was helpful here. I started to test the recommendations and created a little artifact with the things that worked along the way. This might feel like a lot of work. Believe me, it has been frustrating. But I think we can expect future frontier models to become more agentic and smarter at figuring out the right context/gaps. The best thing to do is to prepare for that now. Boris Cherny mentioned that Opus 5 is their least prompt-injectable model yet. I am not sure if that was something they intentionally trained for or if it emerged based on how it was trained, which is to be extremely agentic in nature and more direct in execution.show more

Stateless History Node is almost like a regular Ethereum... node, but it doesn't store state and it doesn't have EVM execution. It's used only for syncing events and thus - is faster and gives you FREE INDEXING. You don't have to pay 6 figures for RPC anymore! Just spin up a Stateless History Node, plug rindexer or Ponder there, and enjoy free (AND FAST!!) indexing! This node is syncing >1000 blocks per second at my local pc (less than 6hrs for the whole Ethereum), and it should use less than 200GB - which means you can host it on a MacMini, Hetzner or whatever. You can futhermore filter that by using block ranges or bloom filters, etc - I haven't developed this yet. What you see is a proof of concept. It works via native devp2p 'eth' protocol, but with EIP4444 and The Prune we would have to also support era1 archives and Portal Network. But so far it works - there are plenty of peers serving historical receipts, and they serve them FAST! If you run Stateless History Node you can also serve the blocks and receipts - so that could help to preserve archival data too. For now there is no data validation yet (and even no data storage - that's a very early PoC), but we can verify validity of chain by simultaneously running a lightweight CL node (or not lightweight if you're extremely paranoid). And then support verifying the hashes of receipts and blocks with their parents, maintaining full integrity and zero trust. It's also written in rust, btw. So, I guess, at least for Ethereum Mainnet the era of RPC's pumping moneybags is over - there's finally a local, trustless and free indexing alternative available. Too sad this won't work for Optimism / Base , cause despite introducing P2P after Bedrock - they haven't enabled receipts transfer in the protocol (or at least I couldn't find one). Arbitrum is even sadder - I don't believe there is a P2P layer at all - you just have to run your own node, hold state and execute blocks to get events. There is hope - Paradigm recently released Ress - stateless execution, but it requires nodes to support Witness preparation & exchange - but this could work for L2s - cause the main blocker for local RPCs rn is huge state (VPS with TB storage cost a lot), and the second blocker is EVM forks makes it hard to hold a node - it needs to be maintained, upgraded, etc. Ress at least solves the state part. But anyways, I will try to continue working on this and release some MVP version with RPC endpoint and data storage soon - follow the updates!show more

When will my child understand the concept of privacy?... As newborns, babies are highly dependent on their mothers (in particular) for feeding, comfort, and companionship - so much so that many believe they see themselves and their mothers as part of a single inseparable unit. As they grow, it probably shouldn’t come as a surprise then that the concept of privacy - that mom or dad might actually need a moment to themselves to shower or use the bathroom, for example - is one that takes a little getting used to. This is an age where separation anxiety can be very real for many children. And let’s face it, toddlers also require careful supervision, making the need for time apart especially challenging. So how do you get from Point A to Point B, transitioning from full togetherness to brief/safe periods of privacy? The answer is: gradually. Recognize that early in toddlerhood you may need to bring your baby along, even on certain trips to the bathroom to ensure their own safety. Consider these visits opportunities to begin advancing potty training concepts. The gradual introduction of boundaries, however, is something you can begin early, by extending and naming/explaining this courtesy to your child. Start small. Maybe it’s initially just a few seconds of privacy that you provide first to THEM. Rest assured that this period will soon intersect with your toddler’s own growing (and often fierce) sense of independence - and desire to do things for themselves and on their own. I particularly love this video, posted to TT by michaeleanstewart, because it shows her daughter in a transitional phase of understanding. As the conversation transpires, this sweet little one grasps the idea that mom wants to be able to use the bathroom without an audience. I’m a human 3D artist. My Attack on Titan... fan-made short film is a project I started in 2022 and released in June 2024. I redesigned all of the Titans myself. I didn’t use any AI, and I never made any money from this short film. To be honest, I originally didn’t want to talk about this. In order to discuss it, I actually had to subscribe to X Premium. Throughout 2025 and 2026, I started seeing more and more comments like this on my YouTube channel: “Your one and a half years of work? I can make that with AI in 30 seconds.” “I can do it in one minute.” “I can do it in 90 seconds.” So I started looking into it. The first AI short film I found was actually made by modifying footage from my original film, while being presented as an AI-generated work. I felt pretty disappointed. If you think AI can make something better than what I made, then please create something better from scratch. I’ve always found it difficult to accept being mocked while my work is also being taken and reused. Since 2018, I’ve been focused on creating the things I genuinely love. I’ve done it simply because I love creating, and I’ve never made a single cent from these works. As a result, my financial situation has actually been quite difficult. For a while, I was really struggling with the thought that maybe I should have spent the past few years trying to make as much money as possible. Was trying to make a living by creating the things I love just a foolish fantasy? Then I watch Orb: On the Movements of the Earth. There’s one line in the series that really stayed with me: “Being wrong doesn’t mean it was meaningless.” So recently, I’ve slowly started to accept something. If I don’t make the things I love, I don’t think I would be happy even if I had a job. I’ll keep looking for a way forward. Whether that means working harder, finding ways to make money so I can continue making short films, or finding some other way, I still want to keep creating the things I love.show more

Anthropic just published its official prompting guide for Opus... 5.5. If you're still writing prompts the way you did for Opus 5, you're paying more and getting less. Here's what changed 👇 1. Default to medium effort Medium on 5.5 already outperforms high on Opus 5, at a lower cost. Maxing it out by habit just burns tokens. 2. Drop "think step by step" Reasoning is built in now. The model decides how much thinking a task needs, so asking it to think harder adds nothing. 3. A check-in isn't a finish line On long runs, it sends progress updates along the way. If it stops to report, tell it to keep going. 4. Fence off anything you paste Put emails, docs, and web text in clearly labeled sections or tags. That way it can tell your instructions apart from the material it's working on. 5. Retire your image workarounds Those custom chart readers and OCR steps you built are probably dead weight. It reads screenshots, diagrams, and charts accurately on its own. 6. For design work, name what you don't want "Make it unique" gets you generic. "Europe has already lost the AI race." I hear... this bashing almost every single week on LinkedIn and X. Not so much when I talk to the teams who are actually working on it. They are trying to do something about it. Take Feyer. They are not building another generic wrapper application. Feyer is developing AI systems that autonomously design novel industrial hardware. Their neural explorers are coupled directly with differentiable physics simulations, allowing them to search enormous design spaces and discover hardware that humans might never come up with themselves. That could accelerate innovation across everything from lasers and quantum technology to microchip production. On September 9, Cyber Valley celebrates its 10th anniversary here in Tübingen. And I want to show and talk about companies like Feyer that are sitting here. They are a pretty good example of what can happen when world-class research turns into an ambitious company. They are building right here in Tübingen and just secured €3 million in the SPRIND, Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation - Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen Next Frontier AI Challenge. I spent some time on a call with their CTO Sören Arlt last week, and the level of technical ambition there is exactly what this ecosystem needs right now. And Feyer is part of a much bigger bet. SPRIND, Federal Agency for Breakthrough Innovation is deploying €125 million over 24 months to build three internationally competitive European frontier AI labs. Ten teams start with up to €3 million each, six can advance with another €8 million, and the final three can receive another €15.5 million each. Up to €26.5 million per winning team. And this is not a research thesis invented for a startup pitch. The work builds on years of research by Sören Arlt, Mario Krenn and their collaborators into machine-driven scientific discovery. I am going to share a lot more about what Sören Arlt, Jonathan Klimesch, Mario Krenn and the rest of the Feyer team are building very soon.
