So apparently Brussels locals instantly know when you’re NOT... driving 😄 FSD awareness is high! This kind gentleman waves me through… but he didn’t spot his colleague waiting on the left to cross. Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on... FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.show more

There are some small differences in UI between Tesla... FSD V14 Lite and HW4 V14. • Starting Self-Driving requires brake to confirm. It’s on by default. • There is no FSD intervention survey, just a voice message. • No Self-Driving stats (hope that can be added in the future). • Arrival options do not appear when approaching the destination. • It does not say “Driving to Whole Foods” when FSD is activated (I hope that’s added in the future as well). Keep in mind, this is a legacy Model Y with an Intel chip. All in all, V14 delivers on the main features from HW4 FSD. It parks in your driveway, in parking lots, at Superchargers, etc. It’s been really incredible. A night-and-day difference compared to V12.show more

Critical Disengagement on FSD v14.3.7. Context: The car needed... to leave the parking garage and go to HEB. It started from the second floor, made its way to the top floor, and I believe it tried to find a path through this metal wire fence. If it had gone through that, it was a 6 story drop to the ground. In the dashcam clip, it is clearly visible. You can see the car is at 4 mph throughout the whole turn and is not slowing down. It wasn't trying to park because the route was set to leave the parking garage, not park in it. Either way, driving at 4 mph inches from the fencing is not okay. I have an interior GoPro recording of the whole situation. It actually tried to drive into the fencing again after I restarted FSD. In thread 👇 Obviously since I disengaged, we don't know what it truly would have done. Maybe it would have made contact and stopped. This was as far as I was going to take it as someone responsible for the vehicle, so I believe this disengagement was fair. First safety intervention I’ve had to make on FSD... v14 in about 1300 miles. During an unprotected left, FSD began the turn but hesitated and paused mid lane. I pressed the accelerator to clear before an oncoming vehicle would have had to stop. Unprotected left turns are still not fully solved and are one of the few situations that still get my heart rate up.show more

Unfortunately FSD 14.1.3 had a critical disengagement in the... first 10 miles of driving. Didn’t attempt to merge and forced the cars behind me to swerve and slow downshow more

By far the most unsafe driving by FSD HW#3... in my 8 year experience with it. Navigation gets confused and takes this left instead of the suicide lane next intersection. I was hoping it would slow down to a stop but it did not. The car to the right was thankfully paying attention and acted defensively to prevent an accident!
