how to CRACK the tiktok algorithm in 2026... the... algorithm in 2026 is not judging your account. it's judging your first 500 views. everyone overthinks this. here's the actual method to crack it: every video starts from ZERO. doesn't matter if your last one hit 1M or your account has 200k followers. tiktok takes the new post, runs it through content moderation first, THEN drops it to a small cold test pool. that pool isn't random. it's people who already watch your exact niche, because tiktok's whole goal is keeping people on the app, so it shows your video to the people most likely to sit through it. then it reads 4 signals, in this order of weight: completion rate (did they finish it) rewatches (did they loop it) shares (did they send it to someone) velocity (how FAST all of that came in) clear the wave, it pushes ~5x bigger. clear that, 5x again. it keeps expanding until the numbers drop below the bar for that wave, then it stops. that's it. that's "going viral." it's just a video that kept clearing waves. nothing mystical. the part that breaks people's brains: this resets EVERY post. tiktok is not youtube shorts. on youtube the channel carries momentum. on tiktok the VIDEO carries itself. your last banger does not pre-load the next one. all followers do is get you shown FIRST in the test pool, which is a head start, not a guarantee. every video still earns its reach from scratch. now the myths that waste your time: "warm up a new account by scrolling for 2-3 days before posting." MYTH. tiktok has said this directly, there is no warm-up requirement. the only real device-level flag is ban evasion, and that only triggers if your device/IP is tied to a previously banned account. clean device = post day one, no penalty. "posting too much hurts the algorithm." also wrong. there is no volume throttle on your account. LOW volume is the real risk. every post is a fresh roll at the test pool. fewer posts = fewer rolls = fewer chances to hit a wave that clears. the accounts that grow fast post 1-3x a day, not once a week. Thoughts from Pebble: -18th hole is the hardest hole... in golf 😬🤦🏻‍♂️ -Really up and down week… Swing felt really good at times and really bad at times. I don’t feel like I’m too far off but not sharp either. Will work on my swing with Sean and try and get it going this week. -My short game was consistently bad though haha 😅. Couldn’t figure out the bunkers very well, and chipping was off. Not technique wise, just off with my touch. -Speaking of which, a tip for all you amateurs. You have to open the face when hitting bunker shots. The leading edge just digs way too much when you keep that face square. When you open the face, it doesn’t dig as much and you can release it more which is a better motion overall. -My amateur partners were great to play with. Thomas and Michael were both really nice guys and I hope they enjoyed their time. The weather the first two days were really great. Pebble in good weather is so so sick. -Good part is that my putting has definitely improved from last yr. I had a little trouble with greens being so slow this week but I’m finding my groove with my putting way more than last yr.show more

Your baby thrives on predictability. Specifically, yours. This week... I’ve been talking about attachment, which holds long lasting consequences for your child’s mental and physical health (not to mention their cognitive development). Secure attachments in infancy occur when parents’ interactions with their babies are: Warm. Responsive. Safe. And consistently so. I’ve shared lots of important tips in the past. Tips on reading to your child. Tips on play. Tips on language development. But I want to be clear that attachment has nothing to do with the number of toys or books in your home. Or how well you interact most of the time. Attachment is a product of your predictability. It’s how you interact EVERY time. It’s what you teach your child to expect from you as their caregiver. Inconsistency in the way adults interact with children - warm and responsive one day and potentially cold and distracted the next - is detrimental to secure attachment. When children don’t know what to expect from day to day, it creates anxiety. And this activates the body’s stress response systems. Continually. This is one reason that it’s so important for parents to thoughtfully manage their own stress, exhaustion, safety, and mental health needs. When you aren’t at your best for yourself, you likely won’t be at your best for your baby. As an aside, consistency is also why I’ve spoken out about viral social media trends that undermine trust and predictability by inserting chaotic behaviors into the parent-child relationship. Several months ago - if you can believe it - it was unexpectedly cracking open an egg on your child’s forehead. This week it seems to be throwing slices of American cheese at/onto your baby’s head/face. (I wish I was making this up.) While it’s easy for us as to dismiss such behaviors as jokes, to young children they are detrimental for precisely the reason some adults may find them funny: they’re unexpected. But when your otherwise kind and attentive parent randomly acts with callousness - if even for a moment - it breaks a stable pattern. It provides a new data point that suggests you may be warm and caring… but also may not be dependably. And this is precisely what undermines attachment. (The good news is that an otherwise stable attachment is unlikely to be permanently disrupted by one dumb mistake. We all make them. Still… don’t. Just don’t.) Be kind, be responsive, and do it predictably. I’ll never share the kind of videos I described above.
