Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this... clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AIshow more

This clip really showcases the difference between a human... driver and Tesla FSD. FSD sees the (stupid) person crossing the road at night and slows down for them, meanwhile a human driver from the other direction nearly runs down the pedestrian. Should the person not be crossing there? Absolutely! But that’s beside the point - the reality is pedestrians do unpredictable things, and FSD is always watching for that to happen. Another example of Tesla Self driving better than humans.... I’m following this Legacy SUV in my Cybertruck on FSD 14.2.2.1 and we feel the brakes and are like what’s going on. Then see a deer ahead in front of SUV run past road. Deer makes it across but what is funny but not funny the SUV doesn’t even tap brakes. Don’t even look liked they slowed down. You can see us slowing down behind SUV after deer crosses. This is all done by FSD. I did nothing. People often ask me if I trust FSD. I always say yes. More than humans for sure. Posting this as a Tesla FSD public service and... the outside chance Tesla see’s this. Yesterday FSD nearly drove into the concrete jersey barrier on hwy 17 as I was traveling to Santa Cruz California. I intervened a fraction of a second before impact. This video doesn’t show the event but does show the conditions a few minutes later when I thought to honk the horn to save a clip. I have used FSD for years and this was the most epic fail. Tonight, I tested the latest Tesla FSD build v14.2.1.25... on my Cybertruck while turning into my neighborhood—and unfortunately, the persistent phantom emergency braking bug is still there. The vehicle suddenly slams on the brakes, detecting a nonexistent “ghost” obstacle in the road. (See video) This issue first appeared with FSD v14.1 and hasn’t been resolved yet. 📍 GPS location: 28.240491, -81.606942 My nearby friend with a 2025 Cybertruck experiences the exact same problem at the same location. Notably, it happens in both FSD mode and regular manual driving—but only started after the v14.1 update. FSD 14.1.3 swerved AT a pedestrian at 4 seconds... in. At least that's what I thought at first. Then I looked back at the footage and saw that the car to my left veered into my lane and FSD moved me over so I didn't get hit. We drive with two eyes that can only see in one direction. My Tesla sees more than me. I was confused... when FSD started to slow down. Nothing was in the road. Then I realized the right pillar camera saw a baby deer running alongside me. It slowed and braked until the deer ran across the road. The deer and I both arrived home safely.show more

So apparently Brussels locals instantly know when you’re NOT... driving 😄 FSD awareness is high! This kind gentleman waves me through… but he didn’t spot his colleague waiting on the left to cross. This time, it saw the oncoming car, but once it disappeared behind the trailer, FSD seemed to forget about it and proceeded as if the path was clear. I knew the car was still coming, so I disengaged. Curious your thoughts on this one. FSD did not... react at all to vehicles squealing their tires and swerving out of the way. This is a pinch point in the highway where two lanes merge. I mashed the brakes to avoid being involved in the mess, which allowed another driver to use my spot to avoid a potential rear ending. I saw folks slamming the brakes far earlier than I pressed the brakes and waited for FSD to react. It did not.show more

Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on... FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.show more

FSD just gained a new lifetime user. I saw... this posted on reddit and thought I would share it here. ---- I am not a regular subscriber, but I was getting over COVID. With the foggy brain I subscribed to FSD just for the month to help me get around while recovering. I am fully recovered but get to enjoy the rest of the month of FSD. Car updated from 13.2.9 yesterday to 14.2. Today on my way home this happened! I couldn't figure out why it was slamming on the brakes until a mere second before the deer jumped out. Worst FSD critical takeover I've ever had – potentially... fatal – and I've been an OG beta tester across multiple vehicles. On 14.3.3, the car appears to misread round red glare spots as a small animal and jerks hard into oncoming traffic. Had I not intervened, a head-on was likely. Reported as critical. This is the regression you get when you raise the gain on small-animal detection: a phantom obstacle triggering an evasive swerve into oncoming cars.
