Just did a quick shadow hack to avoid stretched... shadows at steep light angles. During the shadow pass, I rotate the billboard toward the sun and push it along the light direction to prevent self shadowing. Works really well, so happy :> ! #gamedev #indiedevshow more

Surgical lights cast no visible shadow Each light source... emits beams from different angles. When an object, such as a hand, blocks one of the beams, the remaining beams continue to light the area, effectively preventing shadows from forming. This design ensures that surgeons have a consistently well-lit view of the operating area.show more

Fulmine's Photo Editing Archive📸: [Dramatic Light Shot of Lupa]... What I liked about this shot was the small window of her eye between her bangs, so I decided to make a creative edit to make it the focus of the photo using shadow & light that guide your eyes to the main focus.show more

discovered the best hack ever so now I'm going... to create something that is so frutigery (it's the aero light ray texture on the window that I thought was impossible to make it not move while the entire window moves and it works on both Sketch and Figma)show more

I downloaded this clip because I was looking at... the wildfire filter and saw flashes along California fault line coming from Nevada and up the California valley along the San Andreas Fault line. I just ran across it and what caught my eye is a shadow of something travelling from top left to down bottom left side of the screen. Is that a cloud making the shadow? What is it? Anyways, tell me what you think.show more

This is my favorite VFX shot from the Universal... video! I used a motion controlled DRONE to get the same camera move during the day AND night, then used the shadow pass from the render to reveal the night shot.show more

This little one has nothing but love for her... shadow. 😍 But that’s not how all toddlers react. Young children experience light and shadow from birth. But as they become mobile, their OWN shadows become more and more evident. And this can be a little terrifying. I’ve run across dozens of videos of toddlers scared to death of the kid-shaped apparitions trailing them around. One way to help neutralize this fear is to engage in some proactive shadow play with your toddler. Using a flashlight (or the natural lighting in your home), show off - and discuss - your own shadow on a wall and encourage your child to play along. Demystifying their origins can go a long way toward making shadows commonplace and fun for your child - as they clearly are for this sweet little one. How did/does your toddler react to the sight of their shadow - and how did you help them them gain comfort with it? This terrific video was shared by a parent with the request it remain anonymous. I’m grateful to be able to share it. (If you have interesting video of your own that you’d be willing to share, please let me know!)show more
