All records were shattered this season, with the highest... number of baby turtles making their way to the ocean in recent years. Tamil Nadu’s 2024–2025 season recorded 229,432 hatchlings from 319,895 eggs, the highest ever. Cuddalore and Chennai led the surge, showing significant growth in both nesting and hatching numbers. Compared to 2019–2020, hatchlings increased nearly fourfold, indicating remarkable progress. The consistent rise reflects successful turtle management and improved coastal protection. A dedicated App has been launched for better monitoring. We would further consolidate and sustain our turtle conservation initiatives. Every pallet was opened because we already knew what was being hidden in them, and this short video filmed directly on site is one of the reasons the check existed. Look at the trays. They are full of eggs, right? It’s what a food shipment is supposed to look like. Then a hand picks one up and it reveals how it’s been emptied and packed with tobacco, and put back so that anyone giving it a glance would pass it as food. That didn’t happen inside Gaza. Hamas did not empty these eggs. Somebody packed them, labeled the pallet as food, and sent it down the logistics chain as aid, which means the complicity sits with the people who filled the truck, not with the men the world prefers to blame after it arrives. These consignments carrying tobacco, according to OCHA, originated in Egypt, and distributed by the United Nations. Tobacco was found not only in eggs, but also concealed in flour, diapers, baby formula, canned foods and even watermelons. Homemade Pasta Ingredients You really only need two ingredients to make homemade egg pasta: Flour and eggs. However, I add just a drizzle of olive oil to my homemade noodles to give it extra silkiness. You might have read that “00” or “double zero flour” is the best flour for homemade pasta. This is a soft wheat flour that can be milled to a very fine, powdery consistency. It is what most cooks use when making egg pasta in Italy. It yields soft, silky, stretchy dough ideal for noodles, ravioli, and other delicate pasta. You don’t need to make a special trip to the store to buy “00” flour. The unbleached all-purpose flour in your pantry makes excellent pasta. It’s slightly sturdier than pasta made with “00” flour, and it produces a satisfying result that is both tender and chewy. It’s what I use most of the time when I make pasta at home. Flour is also a variable ingredient. Different flours absorb slightly different amounts of liquid, depending on the type of wheat, the age of the flour, and even the humidity or moisture in the air.
