Together with our partners, we supported the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war, stop the killings, and achieve a just and lasting peace. I am grateful to the partners for our shared position: the path to peace cannot be determined without Ukraine, and negotiations can only yield results if they take place under a ceasefire. I am also grateful for the active support of our state as long as Russia has not agreed to a ceasefire. I called on our partners to finance Ukrainian drone production to enhance our country’s defense capabilities and to join the new NATO PURL instrument for the procurement of U.S. weapons. During the meeting, we coordinated the next steps and agreed to continue working in close contact between Ukraine, all of Europe, and the United States. I met with EU HRVP Kaja Kallas. The key... priority is unblocking the €90 billion financial support package for Ukraine. These funds are critically important and serve as a financial security guarantee not only for Ukraine but for all of Europe. This very package must ensure our defense and send a signal to the Russians that their war will be doomed to fail. This signal depends on Europe, and it is essential that this signal is sent so that the war can end sooner. We also discussed the need to increase pressure on Russia and the work on opening the negotiation clusters for our EU accession. I am grateful to Kaja Kallas for this visit of European ministers to Ukraine on the fourth anniversary of the liberation of Bucha from Russian occupiers. Big win for open-source LLMs! DeepSeek V4 Pro holds... the top open-weights score on SWE-bench Verified, in the GPT-5.5 range. GLM 5.2 leads the open-weight intelligence index and sits near the closed frontier on long-horizon coding. But this leaderboard number is a weak proxy for real performance. It comes from one task set, run through one harness, served at one precision. The same weights can even score differently across providers, since many hosts quantize activations to fp8 and drift the model off its reference weights. Real performance is determined based on whether a model can read a repo, make coordinated edits across files, run the tests, and recover when one breaks. By that measure, the top open models hold up, but only inside the right harness. The teams that actually put DeepSeek V4 into production pipelines as a frontier substitute got there through the harness they built around the model, not by picking a stronger model. If you want to see this in practice, Cline (64k+ stars) has actually built that harness around open models, tuned so they run at production quality. And it's tuned so that these LLMs can run at production quality, with plan and act modes, checkpoints, and terminal feedback. ClinePass is the new access layer on top of it. It runs a curated set of those models inside Cline, narrowed to the ones tested for coding-agent use, with 2 to 5x the standard rate limits and no separate provider accounts, keys, or billing to track. I'll always root for a team that open-sources its... best work, and Robbyant just did it properly. Robbyant, Ant Group's embodied-AI company, released LingBot-Vision, a vision foundation model for robots, and the part I love is the data. They trained it on 161M images, filtered down from 2B raw ones and mostly pulled straight from the open web, with no human labels, no edge detectors, no depth sensors anywhere in the loop. It learns the exact edges of objects from raw pixels. That's roughly a tenth of the data DINOv3 saw, and under a third of the training. And it shows in the results. On depth, working out how far away things are, the 1B model edges out a 7B on NYU-Depth. It also powers LingBot-Depth 2.0, which reads the surfaces cameras usually choke on, glass and mirrors, and halves indoor depth error. LingBot-Vision is fully open. Today, together and in several formats, we are determining what we will discuss in Washington, D. C. It is crucial that Europe remains as united as it was in 2022. This unity helps bring a just peace closer, and it must remain strong. We agreed on the necessity of a ceasefire for subsequent diplomatic steps, effective security guarantees for Ukraine, and continued sanctions pressure on Russia to limit its future potential. Today, Emmanuel and I spoke primarily about security of Ukraine and Europe, as well as global security in light of the events in the Middle East and the Gulf region. Of course, today and always, Emmanuel and I maintain substantive coordination on issues related to our protection in Ukraine and our defense. We devote significant attention to joint defense production. We discussed both bilateral projects and the SAFE instrument. We identified steps and specific decisions that can deliver strong results. This concerns both air defense and combat aviation. It is important to continue putting pressure on Russia over this war in order to achieve genuine security and a lasting peace. The European Union’s resolve, and that of other partners around the world, must remain firm – it must work in a way that leaves Russia with no illusions. Russia must end this war. During the meeting, we discussed cooperation with the U.S. Congress, diplomatic work to achieve a dignified peace, and the importance of active U.S. participation in the negotiation process.
