There are rumors of a high-resolution video of a... giant, fast-moving craft larger than an oil platform. Here's one possible explanation: parallax. The moon is very far away. The camera aircraft is orbiting the oil platform from a distance. The platform looks like it's not moving, then a giant dark disk seems to fly (underwater) beneath it. This was created in Sitrec. The aircraft is going 234 knots. The oil platform is about 300 feet. The moon is reflecting off the surface of the ocean - sometimes informally referred to as the "shadow" of the moon. We haven't seen the video, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is what it was.show more
