In 2023, CES hit 13 HR and an .805... OPS. 2025 was not as fruitful A few notable changes: 1.) More movement and a flattening of the bat in 2025. Seems to cause slower hand position and poor lag 2.) Back foot trigger goes from heel lift to full foot lift 3.) Toe tap instead of leg lift If Baltimore's development staff can help him find a middle ground, this could end up being a solid flier for the Orioles mid-season depthshow more

The Bro Split that every young lad gets sold... on looks like this.⠀ ⠀ Monday: Chest⠀ Tuesday: Back⠀ Wednesday: Rest⠀ Thursday: Legs⠀ Friday: Shoulders⠀ Saturday: Arms⠀ Sunday: Rest⠀ ⠀ And yes, Arnold did it. Arnold also took enough drugs to sedate a medium-sized country, so perhaps not the most transferable template.⠀ ⠀ The problem is simple. Each muscle here gets hit once a week. Train hard enough and you'll trigger a window of muscle protein synthesis that runs for roughly 2-3 days. After that the window closes, and the muscle fibres begin to catabolise slowly. The back half of the week isn't neutral. It's quietly eroding the growth stimulus you picked up on Monday.⠀ ⠀ Once a week is not a holding pattern. It's a losing one.⠀ ⠀ The fix is training each muscle at least twice. An upper/lower split does this cleanly.⠀ ⠀ Monday: Upper⠀ Tuesday: Lower⠀ Wednesday: Rest⠀ Thursday: Upper⠀ Friday: Rest⠀ Saturday: Lower⠀ Sunday: Rest⠀ ⠀ Same days in the gym. Every muscle getting two shots at the growth window per week instead of one.⠀ ⠀ If there's a specific muscle you want to bring up faster, glutes being the obvious example, you can push that to three times a week with a full body approach, hitting the priority muscle first in every session when you're freshest.⠀ ⠀ Monday: Full Body (glutes first)⠀ Wednesday: Full Body (glutes first)⠀ Friday: Full Body (glutes first)⠀ ⠀ More frequent stimulus. More growth windows captured. Less of the week spent sliding backwards.⠀ ⠀ The Bro Split isn't useless. It just isn't optimal. And if you're going to spend the time, you may as well spend it on something that actually works.⠀ ⠀ Minimum twice a week per muscle. Three if you're serious about a lagging group. The rest is just detail.show more

Best Kegel Exercises for Erctile Dysfnction (E.D.) and Premture... Ejacultion (P.Ε.) strengthening the pelvic floor muscles (the ischiocavernosus and bulbocavernosus) can provide a natural first line of treatment to improve stability and control. Kegel Exercises for Better Performance 1. Floor Lying (On Your Back) - Lie on your back with knees bent and feet flat. Draw your p*nis inward toward your body. Hold for 5 seconds, then release. Squeeze your anus muscles (as if stopping a bowel movement). Hold for 5 seconds, then release. Repeat 8 to 10 times for 3 to 5 sets.2. Side Lying Squeezes Lie on your side with a large pillow between your knees. Squeeze your legs together firmly against the pillow. Hold for 5 seconds, then release. Repeat 8 to 10 times for 3 to 5 sets. 3. Sitting Chair Squeezes Sit comfortably in a chair. Squeeze your internal muscles as if trying to stop urine flow. Hold for 5 seconds, then release. Repeat 8 to 10 times for 3 to 5 sets. Important Training Tips Keep Breathing: Never hold your breath during the squeezes. Lift, Don't Push: Focus on squeezing and lifting the muscles upward rather than pushing down. Relax the Rest: Keep your stomach, glutes, and thighs relaxed. Only the pelvic floor should be working. Progress Gradually: Start with 5-second holds. After a month of daily practice, aim for 10-second holds and 8 to 10 sets.show more

The LIV Golf League has made major changes to... the format of the Team Championship, including a preliminary round to be played on Wednesday between teams ranked 12 and 13 in the season long standings. There will also be no byes for top seeded teams. The losing team from the preliminary round will be fully eliminated and will take no further part in the competition. On Friday, there will be 6 quarter finals matches, where all 12 remaining teams will face off in head to head match play. The captains of the top seeded teams have the opportunity to choose their opponents as in previous years. The format is also the same, with 2 singles matches and 1 foursomes match, with 2 points needed to advance. On Saturday, all 12 teams will be divided into 2 brackets. The Championship Bracket, with the winning teams from Friday, and the Rankings Bracket, with the 6 teams who lost. Once again, seeded team captains can select who they play against and the format remains 2 singles matches and 1 foursomes. On Sunday, a champion will be decided and they revert back to the standard team format of the regular season, individual strokeplay with all 4 scores counting towards the team total. The 3 winning teams from the Championship Bracket will face off for the championship rings and the remaining 9 teams will play in their Rankings Brackets for minor places. Ripper GC, captained by Cam Smith will be looking to defend the title they won last season. The previous winners are Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC and Dustin Johnson’s 4 Aces GC. The 2025 Team Championship will be held at The Cardinal at St John’s Resort in Michigan on August 20th-24th.show more

Is strength important for speed development? Here’s my take... ⤵️⤵️ For context — this is me cleaning 295 lbs at 167 lbs body weight and I credit my abilities in the weight room largely for helping my collegiate career flourish the way it did However… We can’t lift at the expense of speed training and development What that means is when we enter the weight room we can’t do so with blinders on acting as if the only thing in the world that matters is that weight training session or improving your 1RM YES… you need force to move your body through space YES… that force needs to be high relative to your body weight BUT… you must be a skilled mover to apply said force in the right positions, at the right times, with the right vectors for it to mean anything While important to holistic athletic development, we’ve got to stop acting like strength is the ultimate differentiator in speed Lot of “weak” athletes will blow your doors off in sprints Lot of “strong” athletes get folded in speed & power sports Go into the weight room with the idea that you’re complementing your speed and athletic development… not superseding it If your legs are so beaten and broken down from lifting heavy you can’t train for 2-3 days without excessive risk, you’re doing it all wrong. Just some perspective from someone who once pursued 1RMs to no end while my track times stagnated… and then was enlightened by world class coaches who lifted within the context of my sport to take me from a college tryout to D1 All American What’re your thoughts? Let’s discuss in the comments!show more

Trend towards some #snow around #Chicago for later Saturday... into Sunday is still on the board Now 4 of 5 models put some snow into the area as the monster winter storm passes well to our south Frosty fly in the ointment is the impact of lake effect snow materializing, or not. That’s the difference of a little to 3”, or the 8-9” advertised by the UK model Short range hi res models still 2 days out til we see that, but wording has dropped into the official long range NWS forecast for this chance of snow for the 2nd half of the weekend All of this of course follows our deepest freeze in 7 years that kicks in about midnight Thursday and will get some -30° and dare I say -40° wind chills by sunrise Friday. Talk about model agreement? 14 models all go at least -20°show more

SUNDAY SNOWFALL — 2ND CALL ❄️ This setup shares... similarities with today’s event, where lift and timing matter more than storm track of the coastal. While the primary coastal low stays offshore, a secondary zone of strong dynamics along the leading edge of arctic air will be the driver for snowfall Sunday. That zone favors Long Island and central NJ Sunday afternoon into the evening, supporting a widespread 2–4” snowfall. The BOOM potential remains over LI if the trough axis can swing from neutral toward slightly negative tilt — a signal consistently shown by the AI guidance, which has been notably steady with this idea. In this scenario your moisture transport off the Atlantic Ocean can be enhanced causing more surprises. I am being cautious on that. ❄️ZONE 1 | NW NJ / Hudson Valley Snow arrives earlier here with colder air already in place. Snow ratios will be higher, allowing coating–2” in most spots. With the front nearby at onset, isolated 3” totals can’t be ruled out, especially near I-87 and areas just east. ❄️ZONE 2 | Interior NJ, NYC, SE NY, CT (away from the immediate coast) This is the core 2–4” zone. While that sounds modest, this is a dynamic-driven snow, meaning totals could fluctuate sharply over short distances. I believe most of NE NJ, NYC, SE NY, and much of CT reach at least 2”, with localized overachievers possible. ❄️ZONE 3 | Coastal NJ & Southern Long Island Mixing remains the wildcard here. Small temperature and wind shifts will have an outsized impact, making this zone highly volatile and lower confidence overall. ⚠️ BOOM POTENTIAL: ALL OF LONG ISLAND & SE CT If snow banding locks in Sunday evening, this area could see an extended period of steady snow. In a perfect scenario, 4–6” is achievable, but confidence in that outcome is still low. More on the PIX11 News at 10pmshow more

The upcoming storm system is eerily reminiscent of March... of 1995. A snow-moving occluded front strengthened by a 130-knot plus westerly jet stream flowing across the Pacific will be centered over the Central Coast tonight into Friday. This condition will create an Atmospheric River (AR) that will produce moderate gale-force to fresh gale-force (32 to 46 mph with gusts to 55 mph) southerly winds and continuous moderate to heavy rain over a 24-hour period. NOAA’s HRRR (High Resolution Rapid Refresh) model indicates between 3 and 5 inches of rain for most of the coastal and inland valleys; however, orographic enhancement due to the southerly gales will produce between 5 and 10 increase of rain along many of the southerly facing slopes, such as portions of the Cuesta Grade. The Santa Lucia Mountains above Morro Bay, Cayucas, Cambria, San Simeon, and Big Sur could see over 15 inches of rainfall. Scattered rain showers will develop on Saturday, ending on Sunday into Monday. Another storm system is forecast to produce additional rain on Tuesday into Wednesday. At this time, between 2 and 4 inches.show more

**WINTER STORM WATCH** TUESDAY'S SNOWFALL FORECAST FOR THE 1ST... WINTER STORM OF THE YEAR WHAT TO EXPECT (BY ZONE) 🟢ZONE 1 – Heavy Rain (Central NJ, NYC, Long Island) This region remains solidly in the warm sector, meaning no meaningful snow accumulation. 🔴ZONE 2 – Mix of Snow, Sleet & Rain (Interior NJ, Southern Westchester, Southern CT, Lower Hudson Valley) This transitional zone holds onto snow the longest before eventually flipping to sleet and rain. These areas will likely see: A slushy early accumulation of 1–3 inches of wet snow Highest totals in elevated terrain north of I-95 and north of the Tappan Zee Bridge ❄️ZONE 3 – Heavy Wet Snow (Northwest NJ, Lower Hudson Valley North of I-84, Central CT) This is where the heaviest and most persistent snow occurs. A strong band of lift will develop Tuesday morning into early afternoon, creating snowfall rates capable of outpacing marginal surface temperatures. Expected totals: 3–6 inches of heavy, wet snow Isolated pockets of 6” possible above 600 feet 🌨️ZONE 4 – Jackpot Zone: Highest Elevations North of I-84. This zone includes the highest terrain of the Catskills and interior Connecticut/New York. These areas sit firmly in the cold sector for most of the event, allowing for the most efficient accumulation. Key locations: Monticello Poughkeepsie Walden Redding, CT Northern and high-elevation CT communities Snow totals: 6 inches+ possible FULL BREAKDOWN: ***MORE ON PIX11 News AT 10PM***show more

RHP Justin Mitrovich (Elon Baseball) is one mid-major arm... to follow this season. Was excellent as a true Freshman and pitched his way to a 3.68 ERA with 66 Ks to 21 BB across 63.2 IP. Last spring he worked a 5.06 ERA and collected 96 Ks against 30 BB in 80 IP. Mitrovich also showed positive flashes on the Cape this summer and notched 17 Ks in as many IP. Mitrovich has an athletic frame at 6'3" and 200-lbs. Room to fill out physically. Worked exclusively out of the stretch during the spring, but went back to the windup this summer. Works on the 1B side of the rubber, starts his motion with a small side step then gathers himself. Leads into a high lift, and the rest of his operation is up-tempo. Plenty of depth on his long arm stroke, attacks from a three-quarters slot with present arm speed. Some effort. Mitrovich's FB sits in the 91-94 range, but has been up to 96 with some life in the top-1/2 of the zone. Figuring his heater out is going to be the key for him going forward. Threw mostly 4-seamers during the spring, but went 2-seam heavy during the summer and still generated a whiff rate < 20%. A handful of the latter flashed late arm side life, particularly against LHH. Both play well in the top-1/2 of the zone. Needs to iron out the shape and maximize it. Mitrovich's bread-and-butter offerings are his secondaries. His low-80s CH is one of the best of its kind in the college ranks. Averaged over 12 MPH off his FB last spring and is a legit swing-and-miss pitch against both LHH and RHH. Throws it with conviction and will use it in any count. Consistently flashes fade to the arm side as well as ample late tumbling life. True "falling off the table" look. Mitrovich's feel for the pitch is highly advanced, and last spring it generated a 52% whiff rate, 47% chase rate and held opposing hitters to a .198 average. Comfortably a 60. Rounds out his arsenal with a low-to-mid-80s SL that is a particular weapon against righthanded hitters. Gyro look that's not big in shape, but will flash some lateral glove-side life with late bite. Flashed above-average at times last spring and garnered a 45% miss rate. Gets whiffs both in and out of the zone. Mitrovich is a strike-thrower who looks the part of a starter at the next level. As mentioned, the key with him is developing the FB. Fits as a 5th-7th rounder for me right now. (📽️: Elon Baseball)show more
