One of our complaints from traders: the UI optimised... orders for speed, not correctness. Some flows updated positions before the exchange responded, then corrected them later if the order was partially filled or failed, but this caused late updates, incorrect states, and failed sells. Now that our indexing and data API is much more performant, we changed this so that market buys and sells wait for the trade response; fills, partial fills, rejections and errors show immediately. This also improves correctness and sell success rate, making it safer and better to trade.show more

You will NEVER build a real market maker bot.... Stop believing highlights. I'll save you what it cost me to learn that the hard way. But you can still be the house at a small scale. Here's how to manufacture liquidity out of nothing: The pro market maker dream is a FIFO war you will NOT win. 24 hour early ladder fights, sub millisecond queue battles, getting left naked-long when the trend reverses. Skip all of it. There's a smaller version of being the house that actually works for a solo dev. Here's the problem it solves: You found a perfect entry, but there's no liquidity. No shares to buy at your price. You can manufacture your own, two ways. First trick - naked sells. You do not need to own a share to sell it. Buying one side is the same as selling the other. If the side you want is empty but the opposite side has depth, just sell the opposite. Second trick - split shares, and this one is stronger. You can split $1 into one up share and one down share at any time. Say you want the up share at 60c, but the book is empty there. When the window opens, you pre-split some shares, and now they're sitting in your wallet. You list down shares for sale at 40c. If they fill, you're left holding the up share you wanted all along. Effective entry, 60c. BTC market is a perfect target for it: < Manufactured from nothing, no liquidity required. You're not predicting anything here. The invisible cost to every Robinhood $HOOD trade you... make - their trades are not free! - "Robinhood trades are not free" - "When you pay for order flow, you're probably charging your customers more, and pretending to be free" - "It's a very dishonourable, low grade way to talk" - "Nobody should believe Robinhood's trades are free" Translation: Robinhood doesn’t charge commissions, but it makes money by selling your trades to market makers i.e. “payment for order flow”. Instead, when you click Buy, Robinhood sells your order to a big trading firm (Citadel etc). That firm executes it and pays Robinhood for sending the order. Example: - If the best price in the market is $10.00, but you get filled at $10.02, that 2 cents difference looks tiny… but over thousands of trades and millions of users, that’s real money. - You didn’t pay a commission, but you still paid in the form of a slightly higher price! You feel like it’s free, but you get slightly worse prices on every trade! That cost is invisible - but you're still paying it! In addition: Those firms (Citadel etc.) also get visibility into retail order flow. They see what millions of small traders are doing and can position themselves more effectively to profit from you!!! Time under tension is a red herring. If TUT... mattered, planks would build massive abs. They don't. Because there's no progressive overload of mechanical tension. The plank gets longer. The abs don't. A 5-rep set takes around 15 seconds. A 15-rep set takes around 45 seconds. Both can produce the same hypertrophy if both are taken close enough to failure. The growth doesn't come from the duration. It comes from the mechanical tension in the hard reps. The ones at the end of the set where the bar is barely moving and the muscle is recruiting every available fibre to finish the rep. You can hold a light weight for 60 seconds and get nothing. You can lift a heavy weight for 15 seconds and grow. Time doesn't build muscle. Tension does. Stop counting seconds. Start counting how close you got to failure.show more
