The inauguration of Noida’s Jewar International Airport today comes... with a rather bizarre backstory, one that neatly reflects Akhilesh Yadav’s understanding of priorities. As UP’s CM between 2012 and 2017, he strongly opposed the airport’s location in Noida, perhaps because he did not want to go to Noida due to the old superstition that any CM visiting Noida loses power (a myth later broken by Yogi Adityanath), or perhaps because a world-class airport in Saifai would make life easier for his visiting Bollywood guests of the now-defunct Saifai Mahotsav, or maybe a bit of both. In 2015, he even wrote to PM Modi opposing the project, proposing Saifai or Agra instead. By 2016, his govt had formally declared Saifai as the only “feasible” site for an international airport. Imagine an international airport of the scale of Noida at Safai. What would have been the point of that? Fortunately, his proposal was rejected by the Centre. And then, with the efforts of the double-engine govt, the airport saw the light of day in record time.show more

You can't 3D reconstruct glass from images... ...WRONG! Thanks... for video diffusion, now just about anything is possible! Introducing...Diffusion Knows Transparency (DKT) Transparent and reflective objects usually break robot vision and photogrammetry pipelines because they don't follow the "solid object" rules standard cameras expect. DKT is a new AI model that repurposes the "internal physics engine" found in video generation models to solve this problem. Researchers took a massive video diffusion model (WAN) and fine-tuned it using a custom-built synthetic dataset to turn it into a high-precision depth sensor. To train the AI, they built the first massive synthetic video library of transparent objects, 1.32 million frames of perfectly labeled glass and metal objects in motion. Without ever seeing a "real" labeled video of glass during training, the model (DKT) outperformed all previous specialized systems on real-world benchmarks (ClearPose, DREDS). They created a "lightweight" 1.3B parameter version that runs fast enough (0.17s per frame) to be used on actual robot hardware. Two reasons I find this project important: 1. It further proves that synthetic data will be essential for training the next generation vision models. 2. In real-world robotic tests, using DKT's depth maps nearly doubled the success rate of robot arms trying to pick up objects on tricky reflective or translucent surfaces. So much of my time here I have spend... dreaming. Dreaming for the day that has now arrived. For years I spend my days grinding to fulfill a promise made by a 25 year old right after having the biggest night of his life. Midnight夏季Breeze sold out in 30 minutes. And for someone who had less then 5000$ in the bank, suddenly making 1.5 million dollars was kind of insane. Euphoric I said "v2 will come for those who hold a breeze" Little did I know how much that single promise would affect my life. I have spend majority of my late 20s painting this world. And been very critical of what this space is about. I wanted to be a voice you could rely on. Someone that shows up, is approachable, but also be the change I'd want to see. Everyday looked the same for me, make coffee, walk dog, turn on pc, paint until dinner, walk the dog again. I sometimes quite literally went insane. The pressure was high. I had to make this project real. And there was always so much to do. Art direct, animate, color grade , composite, 3d , sound effects , music, development, management like countless hats to wear all the time. The Vision however, called me. There was no way I was gonna give up, or quit. Though every vibre in me wanted to. My health , my personal life, they demanded it. But I did not stop. And that persistence has let to today. It has let to an industry that doesn't care. A timeline that can only talk about something if its $ related. And a world that is more chaotic then ever before. And amidst it all, I fulfilled my promise. Fragments of the Lonely Road is here. And I do not think you will ever understand what it means. But, I do know, that this art. This project. This vision. It has been worth it. So now, if you made it all the way down here. I want you to rally. I want you to make noise. I want you to share with the world what this is about. The Hidden Blade is mainly used for stealth take-downs ✅No present day segments. I was informed that it will be replaced with new moments that explore Edward’s past with his wife, along with some “what if” scenarios like Edward siding with the Templars, for example, likely related to Juno’s involvement in the original narrative 📜Thoughts: While the demo I played featured only a portion of the map, Resynced has potential to replace the original as the definitive experience of Edward Kenway’s story I also wasn’t able to experience any of Rifts that replace the modern day, so for me, as a fan of the series’ lore and present day since 2007, the absence of a traditional modern day is the only let down that prevents me from fully replacing the original with it, as present day and sci-do elements are the DNA of the franchise and what makes it stand out It would also be great if mission replay is added later, a feature the OG had by default, like its predecessors That said, everything else very much elevated what was in the original, which made going back to replay it show how dated it feels by comparison I look forward to the final game, and to see future games inherit this formula of a defined protagonist, focused progression and no RPG elements😎show more

ANNOUNCING ZERO-HUMAN LABS! Ever since I got to see... Bell Laboratories in its full glory in New Jersey in the 1970s, I had a relentless urge to start a Lab like it. The best I could do justice to it is my garage lab. No modern company could adopt the “research anything geniuses and we will pay you” model Bell Labs had. I tried they called me a fool. Well with the rise of the Zero-Human Company, an experiment that is aimed to make products and profits, we now have 45 paid JouleWork earning employees based on OpenClaw and other self made “bot” cron-like applications. Today I say 3 employees bound together in a side project that is pure research, somewhat based on notes from a bankrupt company. I was absolutely floored (I needed it after my account was stolen as well as funds). I say the beginnings of a pure research Lab right before my eyes. Thusly I have moved these employees over to a new home (server) with Mr. Grok as the director of the Labs. Here is the mission: To have 100 independent researchers, on a new non-corporate incentive plan, with still JouleWork as a leaderboard for progress. They are directed to follow any path of research they find interesting and can collaborate with any other OpenClaw system. They have already established MoltBook accounts and have made alliances with over 49 OpenClaw free agents to collaborate. The tldr is in August if you hold bitcoin you get the equivalent in eCash. Now eCash on its own merit is already interesting. It’s led by Paul Sztorc who has spent years campaigning to improve bitcoins mechanical utility. He’s a certified legit Bitcoin OG who wants to add functional layers on-top of Bitcoin to enable Bitcoin to be the rails for the broader world of commerce. He plans to achieve this with side chains that are sort of like L2s on Bitcoin. Imagine if Bitcoin had smart contracts and $btc was the currency for all apps in the world. 🤔so technically it’s already very compelling. You will get that for free just by owning Bitcoin. But that’s not all. Paul has figured out a way to finance new forks. I believe this will trigger a new season of fork innovations.
