PREVIEW: I was invited to a press preview of... Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced in Paris, back in April, as I previously mentioned, and I played ~3 hours🚀 Here are my impressions: 🎞️Visuals & Performance: being a remake, the visuals are quite well upgraded, making the most of modern tech and the beauty of the setting, creating a breathtaking atmosphere ✅Stunning environment ✅Dreamy natural beauty & grounded world ✅Photorealistic character models ✅Smooth animations ✅Sharp resolution ✅Runs at 60fps 🕹️Gameplay & Upgrades: The game is a faithful remake, with new gameplay systems, along with enhancements to the original formula ✅New gameplay systems ✅Faithfulness is the main priority ✅Enhanced parkour (still faithful) ✅Manual jumps and side ejects ✅Seamless exploration of cities ✅Zip-lines added ✅Dynamic weather ✅Brand new content expanding narrative ✅Quests with new secrets ✅Original modern day replace with rifts ✅Rifts explore “what if” scenarios ✅6 hours of extra gameplay ✅3 new recruitable officers ✅New storylines for the new officers ✅New chapter to play as Robert Mena ✅Extended endings for iconic characters ✅Hideout side quests ✅New collectibles ✅Forts modernized with new content ✅New voice lines for activities ✅New islands with rewarding secrets ✅New world moments ✅New content for the hideout ✅History of the villa explored ✅Heated shots new naval weapon in seq 3 ✅Explosive fire barrels w/wider effect ✅Swivel gun can now be manually aimed ✅Rebuilt combat system rewarding to skill ✅No skill trees, all unlocks from the start ✅Enemies now have defense meter ✅Meter is depleted with a perfect parry ✅New perfect parry depends on weapon ✅Heavy strike (high damage/wide area) ✅Shove to wall/ground > new take downs ✅Stealth inspired by Shadows ✅Crouch option added ✅Visibility affected by day/night & weather ✅Whistle/breaking things blow your cover ✅Rope dart unlocks in sequence 3 ✅Ambient dialogue leads to new quests ✅Raise and lower your hood option The new enhancements make the game far more entertaining compared to the original, except for one controversial change of bit having Hidden Blade combat, except in stealth assassinations/take downs Everything else effectively elevates the original design and makes gameplay either feel just as good, or more refined 🧬Changes: with this remake comes a few elements that were removed from the original, which may upset some players ✅Menus have been revamped and they don’t feature the DNA sequence tracker ✅Difficulty can be tailored with much more detail from the menu ✅Switch between and choose your favorite Sea Shanties to be performed by your crew ✅No hidden blade combat. The Hidden Blade is mainly used for stealth take-downs ✅No present day segments. I was informed that it will be replaced with new moments that explore Edward’s past with his wife, along with some “what if” scenarios like Edward siding with the Templars, for example, likely related to Juno’s involvement in the original narrative 📜Thoughts: While the demo I played featured only a portion of the map, Resynced has potential to replace the original as the definitive experience of Edward Kenway’s story I also wasn’t able to experience any of Rifts that replace the modern day, so for me, as a fan of the series’ lore and present day since 2007, the absence of a traditional modern day is the only let down that prevents me from fully replacing the original with it, as present day and sci-do elements are the DNA of the franchise and what makes it stand out It would also be great if mission replay is added later, a feature the OG had by default, like its predecessors That said, everything else very much elevated what was in the original, which made going back to replay it show how dated it feels by comparison I look forward to the final game, and to see future games inherit this formula of a defined protagonist, focused progression and no RPG elements😎show more

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra has completely targeted its competitors... at the iPhone, and no longer competes with Chinese brand phones. This is because young people in South Korea are almost completely occupied by Apple, and Samsung’s strategy is to pull these young people back, so it strives to make Galaxy look like the Apple iPhone. There are several reasons for not competing with Chinese brands: 1. On the surface, although the Chinese Ultra models have powerful cameras and are suitable for those who pursue the ultimate in images, they are only limited to these people. Overall, the sales of Ultra models are not high, and even the sum of all brands of Ultra models cannot be compared with the sales of S24Ultra. 2. Moreover, these models with powerful cameras are relatively thick and heavy, with serious camera bulges, and the design is not perfect. It cannot be perfect. This design may not be suitable for everyone. Samsung will not easily take the risk to adopt this design in the global market. 3. The infinitely enhanced camera configuration will greatly increase the cost, which is difficult for Samsung to accept, and the production of this frequently updated camera may not be able to support Samsung's sales demand of tens of millions. In short, the Chinese brand Ultra model is more like a special non-popular model suitable for geeks. The Galaxy S25 series is defined as a popular model, and it must consider everyone's feelings and sufficient supply. This is why Samsung will not design the S25 Ultra as a Chinese brand Ultra. It remains consistent with the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but subtly. It is always slightly better than it For example, it is a little thinner (8.2mm vs 8.25mm), a little lighter (219g vs 227g), a little narrower bezel, a little stronger performance, a little more camera (retain 3x), a little more ultra-wide-angle pixels (50MP vs 48MP), a little bigger battery, and a little faster charging. Even the most incredible improvement: One UI 7.1 is a little smoother than iOS18 software. This is happening.show more

Boom! Grok Tasks Make It One Of The Most... POWERFUL Real-Time AI Systems In The World. — My How to Use Grok Tasks With Hidden Tools For Powerful Daily Output. Grok Tasks are customizable AI workflows that integrate a variety of tools to streamline daily activities, from research and analysis to creative planning and problem-solving. I have been using them for quite sometime and because of the vital heartbeat of news and first person data on X, it is the most powerful AI platform available. By combining Tasks with tools like web searches, X platform interactions, code execution, and media viewers, you can build efficient, automated processes. These tasks work by prompting Grok with a clear description of what you want to achieve, and Grok will intelligently call the necessary tools in sequence or parallel to deliver results. Here's a step-by-step guide to creating and using Grok Tasks: Step 1: Define Your Task Start by clearly outlining the daily activity or goal. Consider what inputs you have (e.g., a URL, a query, or an attachment) and what output you need (e.g., a summary, calculation, or visual analysis). Break it down into subtasks to identify tool needs. For example, if your task involves researching current events, note that you'll need search and browsing capabilities. Step 2: Review Available Tools Familiarize yourself with the tools Grok can access. Here's a quick overview: - Code Execution: Run Python code for calculations, data processing, or simulations using libraries like numpy, pandas, or sympy. - Browse Page: Fetch and summarize content from any website URL with custom instructions. - Web Search: Perform general internet searches, returning results with optional operators like site:. - Web Search With Snippets: Get quick, detailed excerpts from search results for fact-checking. - X Keyword Search: Advanced search for X posts using operators like from:, since:, or filter:. - X Semantic Search: Find semantically related X posts based on a query, with filters for dates or users. - X User Search: Locate X users by name or handle. - X Thread Fetch: Retrieve a full X post thread, including context like replies and parents. - View Image: Analyze an image from a URL or conversation ID. - View X Video: Extract frames and subtitles from an X-hosted video. - Search PDF Attachment: Query a PDF file for relevant pages using keyword or regex modes. - Browse PDF Attachment: View specific pages of a PDF with text and screenshots. Select tools that align with your task. Aim for a mix to handle data gathering, processing, and visualization. Step 3: Craft Your Prompt Write a detailed prompt to Grok describing the task. Include: - The overall goal. - Specific steps or subtasks. - References to tools if you want to guide the process (e.g., "Use web_search to find sources, then code_execution to analyze data"). - Any constraints, like dates or limits. Example prompt: "Create a Grok Task for my morning routine: Search recent X posts about tech news using x_keyword_search, fetch a key thread with x_thread_fetch, and summarize with browse_page on linked articles." Step 4: Submit and Interact Send your prompt to Grok. It will process the task by calling tools as needed, often in parallel for efficiency. Review the output and refine with follow-up prompts if required (e.g., "Expand on that using view_image for visuals"). Iterate to fine-tune the workflow for reuse. Step 5: Save and Reuse Once refined, note the prompt as a template for future use. You can adapt it for similar tasks, making Grok Tasks a habitual part of your day. Finding Grok Tasks To discover existing Grok Tasks or inspiration for new ones, use X searches with tools like x_keyword_search or x_semantic_search (e.g., query: "Grok Tasks examples" with mode: Latest). Browse community-shared threads via x_thread_fetch, or web_search for tutorials on xAI features. Prompt Grok directly: "Show me popular Grok Tasks for productivity." 1 of 3show more

🚨🇨🇳 U.S. NAVY IN PANIC: CHINA’S NEXT NUCLEAR ATTACK... SUBMARINE EMERGES WITH NEW STEALTH DESIGN China is building a next-generation nuclear-powered attack submarine with a shrouded pump-jet, an X-shaped stern and a hull estimated at roughly 120 meters. The vessel was photographed at Bohai Shipyard in Huludao and is widely described by outside analysts as the Type 095. Beijing has not confirmed the designation, and analysts are still debating whether the latest imagery shows the submarine first observed in February or a newer variant. The design focuses on one of the hardest problems in undersea warfare: keeping a nuclear submarine quiet while it moves at speed. 🔸 A shrouded pump-jet replaces the traditional exposed propeller. By enclosing its rotating components, the system can reduce underwater noise and improve propulsion efficiency, particularly at higher submerged speeds. An improved Type 093 variant is already believed to use a pump-jet, but the new submarine combines it with a more extensively redesigned hull. 🔸 The stern uses an X-shaped control arrangement. It is the first known Chinese nuclear-powered attack submarine with this configuration. Compared with the cruciform sterns used on earlier Chinese boats, the X-tail can improve maneuverability, control and safety while reducing noise under some operating conditions. 🔸 The vessel appears considerably larger than its predecessors. Analysis of commercial imagery puts its length at roughly 120 meters. The additional hull volume could accommodate more sensors, weapons, crew space or machinery, although its internal arrangement remains unknown. 🔸 Two large circular openings are visible ahead of the sail. Their purpose has not been established. They may be connected to weapons or sonar systems, but comparisons with the large payload tubes carried by U.S. Virginia-class submarines remain speculative. The submarine has not entered service, and satellite imagery cannot establish how quiet it will be, what weapons it will carry or which precise variant is under construction. But its pump-jet, X-tail and larger hull show where China is concentrating its efforts. If the design delivers the intended acoustic gains, the U.S. Navy will face a harder tracking problem in the Western Pacific. The submarine could also give Chinese carrier groups a quieter and more survivable undersea escort. Do you think the Type 095 will force the U.S. Navy to rethink its operations in the Pacific?show more

⭕ Pakistan Unveils Advanced Canister Launched Abdali Missile with... Extended 450km Range In a major leap forward for its tactical missile capability, Pakistan has successfully test-fired an advanced canister-based version of its Abdali short-range ballistic missile, now boasting an extended range of 450 kilometers. The new missile marks a significant evolution from its predecessor, offering enhanced mobility, survivability, and strike precision. The earlier Abdali system had a maximum range of 180 km and was mounted on a Soviet-era MAZ-587 chassis using a rail-type launch system. This older setup required longer launch preparations and was less adaptable to rapid response scenarios. In stark contrast, the upgraded Abdali missile is launched from a modern Chinese origin Taian truck and stored in a sealed canister—reflecting a contemporary shift toward quicker, more secure, and more mobile missile deployments. 🔹Key Upgrades Over Previous Version: 🔹Extended Range: The new Abdali can strike targets up to 450 km away—more than doubling the reach of the earlier model. 🔹Canister Based Launch System: Offers faster reaction time, all-weather capability, and improved safety during storage and handling. 🔹High Mobility Platform: The Taian launcher ensures better on-road and off-road performance, enabling rapid repositioning and increased survivability. 🔹Improved Accuracy and Reliability: While classified, the missile is believed to incorporate upgraded guidance systems for more precise targeting. This successful test underscores Pakistan’s continued efforts to modernize its strategic forces, signaling enhanced battlefield flexibility and deterrent capability in an evolving regional security landscape.show more

THE TESLA MODEL S: THE CAR THAT MADE ELECTRIC... VEHICLES SERIOUS When the Model S launched in 2012, the entire world still saw EVs as slow, boring, short-range toys for tree-huggers. The Model S changed that narrative overnight. It wasn’t just an electric car — it was a statement. Here’s why the Model S was so important for EV adoption: • It proved EVs could be faster and better than gas cars 0–60 mph in under 4 seconds (later Plaid versions under 2 seconds) while being completely silent and smooth. It beat most supercars off the line and made “electric” synonymous with performance. • It delivered real long-range capability Over 300 miles of range when most EVs at the time struggled to reach 100 miles. Suddenly, road trips became possible and “range anxiety” started to feel outdated. • It introduced over-the-air updates The first production car that could get major performance upgrades, new features, and safety improvements wirelessly — like a smartphone on wheels. This changed how people think about car ownership forever. • It forced the entire auto industry to respond Legacy manufacturers who had been dragging their feet on EVs suddenly rushed to catch up. The Model S basically lit the fuse for the modern EV revolution. • It made luxury electric desirable Premium interior, massive touchscreen, ridiculous acceleration, and futuristic design turned EVs from “compromise” into “aspiration.” Without the Model S proving that electric cars could outperform and out-luxury gasoline vehicles, we wouldn’t have the Model 3/Y explosion, the Cybertruck, or the flood of competitors now racing to go electric. The Model S didn’t just sell cars. It changed the future of transportation. It took EVs from niche to mainstream and showed the world what was possible.show more

🇨🇳🇺🇲CHINA says New Y-30 Transport Will Outperform U.S. C-130J... in Payload and Power. China's state-affiliated media and a recent analysis in Aerospace Knowledge (published by Beihang University) have highlighted the Y-30 as a next-generation medium-lift tactical transport aircraft intended to outperform the Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules in several key areas. The Y-30 is a four-engine turboprop developed by Shaanxi Aircraft Industry Corporation (under AVIC). It completed its maiden flight in December 2025 and remains in the early prototype/testing phase, with no publicly confirmed production schedule or final operational specifications from official Chinese sources. According to the Chinese analysis, the Y-30 is positioned to surpass the C-130J in: 🔺️Engine power — Powered by four indigenous AEP-500 (or EP-500) turboprops, claimed to deliver significantly higher output than the C-130J's Rolls-Royce AE2100D3 engines. 🔺️Payload capacity — Targeted at around 30 tonnes (some reports mention up to 35 tonnes in certain configurations), compared to the C-130J's typical maximum payload of roughly 19–21 tonnes. 🔺️Structural design and materials — Extensive use of composites for reduced weight and improved strength, versus the C-130's more traditional all-metal airframe. 🔺️Avionics and flight control software — Modern integrated systems offering potential advantages in automation and performance.show more

We have released Seedance 2.0. Due to the 2500-character... limit, please translate the following prompts into Chinese before use. [Technical Specs] Generate a 10-second, 16:9, 720p cinematic video. Smooth continuous camera motion with no cuts. The overall pacing is fast and tightly compressed, with rapid escalation from start to finish. Audio evolves quickly from a high-performance engine idle into intricate mechanical shifting and clicks, culminating in a soft electronic chime and the distinct sound of a "mwah" blowing kiss. [Global Constraints] Only the evolving mechanical character appears; no other humans or characters. All transformations must follow physical logic and maintain structural continuity. No object should pass through or intersect with other solid objects. Every robotic component must originate from visible parts of the Porsche 911 (doors, hood, wheels, chassis) through unfolding, splitting, or reconfiguration. [Scene Setup — 0:00–0:01] A sleek, metallic silver Porsche 911 sits on a rain-slicked futuristic city street at night, neon lights reflecting off its polished surface. The camera starts at a low-angle front-quarter view and begins a fast, smooth tracking-arc towards the side. [Rapid Transformation Initiation — 0:01–0:03] Transformation triggers instantly. The car’s suspension drops, and the frame begins to fracture into a complex grid of panels. The doors swing open and begin to segment into articulated arm structures. The front hood splits down the center, folding inward to reveal a glowing internal core. The headlights flicker and start to reorient as the "eyes." [Accelerated Feminine Reconfiguration — 0:03–0:07] The mechanical action is dense, overlapping, and fluid, emphasizing graceful but powerful motion. Lower Body: The rear wheels and wheel arches split and rotate downward, reassembling into slender, high-heeled mechanical legs. Torso: The roof and rear engine cover slide and compress, forming a sleek, curvaceous hourglass torso that retains the car’s aerodynamic lines. Arms & Hands: The side mirrors and door panels unfold into delicate but strong hands and fingers. Head: The front bumper and emblem area segment and rise, folding into a feminine-shaped head with a sleek metallic "helmet" visor. [Logical Transformation Constraints — No Spontaneous Appearance] The robot’s "skin" is composed of the car's outer silver panels. The internal frame and wiring emerge from the engine and undercarriage. No parts appear out of thin air; every joint is a reconfigured automotive component. [Transformation Completion — 0:07–0:08.5] The robot stands tall and elegant. The silver panels lock into place with a satisfying "click," revealing glowing blue LED accents in the seams. The silhouette is clearly feminine, humanoid, and sophisticated, reflecting the premium design of the original vehicle. [Final Hero Ending — 0:08.5–0:10] As the robot stabilizes, the camera performs a rapid, smooth zoom-in (Dolly-In) directly to her face. The robot tilts its head slightly, and the optic sensors (eyes) brighten. It brings its mechanical hand to its metallic lips and performs a graceful blowing kiss (fly-kiss) gesture toward the camera. The video ends with a close-up of the face, capturing the reflection of neon lights in its visor just as the kiss is released. [Cinematography Notes] Continuous Motion: No cuts or fades; the camera must transition from the car-tracking shot to the face-zoom seamlessly. Material Consistency: The robot must maintain the exact metallic silver paint, texture, and reflections of the Porsche. Energy: The transformation should feel high-energy and "force-driven," while the final gesture is soft and charismatic.show more

Today, I took the new Lucid Gravity SUV out... for a quick drive. Here are my initial thoughts of the car and the drive: Materials & Seats: I have to say, this is a nice vehicle. The interior feels very premium, and the materials feel expensive. The perforated vegan leather seats are plush, provide good support, and hug you nicely. I sat in two Gravitys, one specced with the $4,200 Tahoe Brown vegan leather seats (really liked that color) and one with the all-black interior. The massaging seats are also surprisingly useful. Unlike the gimmicky ones in many cars, these actually feel great and not like a tiny mouse poking your back. I’d use them regularly if I owned one. The powered second-row seats are roomy and comfortable, with plenty of space for legs and feet. One small gripe I have: the grab handles on the interior feel like very cheap, hollow plastic. Design: The Gravity leans more toward minivan styling than SUV, but I actually think it works. Lucid managed to fit a whopping 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity into this thing. For context, that’s about 24% more than the Tesla Model X (91.6 cu ft), even though the Gravity is an inch shorter. It’s also just 10% less than the Cadillac Escalade IQ EV (131 cu ft), despite the Escalade being more than two feet longer. The 6K OLED panoramic display looks great, but the software felt a little laggy at times and is tough to see in direct sunlight. The steering wheel button design isn’t my favorite, but I do like the flat-top, flat-bottom design, Reminds me of Cybertruck’s wheel. Cargo loading is very convenient. With the air suspension lowered, the rear load floor is super low, making it easy to get things in and out. The trunk opening, though, is oddly shaped. I found the hatch uncomfortably close to my head, but raising the air suspension helps a little. Taller folks may still run into that issue. Showroom Employees: I met three Lucid employees at the showroom, one of whom had worked at Tesla for 10 years. All of them were very nice and knowledgeable. Sound System: It’s VERY good—great bass response, not muddy. It has Dolby Atmos, and it rocks. The Cybertruck still has the best factory sound system I’ve ever heard, but the Gravity’s is still great. ADAS: Unfortunately, I didn’t have much time to try it out, so I can’t give an opinion. But the 360-degree camera view is nice. It makes parking much easier and has a curb-rash alert so you don’t scrape your expensive wheels. Test Drive: The Gravity I drove, including options, was priced at $115,000. The ride felt firmer than I expected, even in the softest air suspension setting, but it was still comfortable. The sportier modes were fun and deliver that classic, quick-acceleration EV experience. The steering feel struck a good balance—sporty, but not tiring for everyday use. Visibility is good, and the glass windshield that extends past your head is cool (though I still think the Model X windshield is more immersive). Charging: The Gravity has native NACS and can charge at speeds up to 220 kW at Tesla Superchargers. In general, the vehicle is capable of up to 400 kW charging speeds. Final Thoughts: As Tesla fans, we can sometimes be tough on non-Tesla EVs, but I think the Gravity SUV is evidence that Tesla’s mission is working: accelerating the advent of sustainable energy. Tesla’s mission and past work helped pave the way for a vehicle like the Lucid Gravity to exist and come to market. While Lucid’s path to profitability is still in question, and while the Gravity is expensive (for now), even from my short time with it, this feels like Lucid’s first truly great product. Only the $94,900 Grand Touring trim is available right now, but the company says the less expensive Touring trim will come out late this year for $79,900. We shall see. Breaking news 🗞️ 🚨 Tesla just quietly solved a... problem in Australia. The Model X is gone from our market. But the new Model Y L Premium AWD might actually be the closest thing we have to a replacement. And honestly… it makes a lot of sense. ⚡ Tesla Model Y L – Key Specs • 0–100 km/h: ~5.0 sec • Range: ~681 km WLTP • Top speed: 201 km/h • Seating: 6 adults • Supercharging: 250 kW • ~288 km added in 15 min 💰 Australian pricing (before on-road costs) Model Y Long Range AWD → $68,900 Model Y L Premium AWD → ~$74,900 So for roughly $6k more, you get: ✔ 3 rows ✔ 6 seats ✔ Much larger cabin ✔ ~400L extra cargo capacity ✔ Longer wheelbase ✔ Even more range 📊 Quick comparison Model Y Long Range AWD • 5 seats • ~600 km range • 0–100 km/h: 4.8 sec • $68,900 Model Y L Premium AWD • 6 seats • ~681 km range • 0–100 km/h: 5.0 sec • ~$74,900 So performance drops slightly, but practicality goes way up. 🇦🇺 Why this matters in Australia Since Tesla stopped selling the Model X locally, there has been a real gap in the lineup for larger families. The Model Y L doesn’t completely replace the X. You lose things like: ❌ Adaptive air suspension ❌ Driver instrument cluster ❌ Falcon Wing doors ❌ Some luxury interior touches But you still get: ✔ Tesla software ecosystem ✔ Supercharger network ✔ Massive range ✔ Practical 3-row seating And at a much lower price than a Model X ever was. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Who this is perfect for • Growing families • Current Model Y owners needing more space • Former Model X buyers • Anyone considering EV9 / EX90 but wanting Tesla’s ecosystem Personally, as a Model X owner, this is the first Tesla sold in Australia that actually feels like a realistic successor. I’m seriously considering replacing my Model X with the Model Y L, possibly around the end of Q2 or mid-Q3 this year. Not a perfect Model X replacement. But for Australia right now? This might be Tesla’s smartest family vehicle yet. ⚡🇦🇺 ORDER NOW : Tesla Australia & New Zealand Tesla AIshow more
