Elon Musk: If we don't move to renewable energy,... civilization will eventually run out of energy and die. “By definition, we must move to renewable energy. How can one argue against that? Because to argue for it is to say that we will eventually run out of energy and die. Or civilization will collapse. So, obviously, we must find ways to produce energy in a renewable manner.” From: / Youtube, December 4, 2011 Made and published viashow more

There is nothing more valuable than your time. And... yet it is time that most goes to waste. Money can’t give you more time. But money can get you the time of others. And that time is worth much much more than most folks are being compensated in exchange for it. You can’t get that time back. The majority believing there is little value for their time is part of how those who do assign high value to their own time keep their control. Time is a real resource. Money is a social construct. One of the two is much more valuable. But what do I know, I’m just a silly girl with hand puppets.show more

This 1970-ish video of Tan Son Nhat Airport in... Saigon is low-key one of the most insane airport vid ever. Air Vietnam passenger jet in front, full of civilians, and half a dozen US military C-130s parked like it’s normal. Same tarmac we walk on today. From war-time madhouse to one of Southeast Asia’s busiest modern hubs... how wild is that transformation in just 50 years? The ATC tower you see here and in the B787 video is the same and still standing strong in 2026!show more

How Should We Walk? Everyone knows how to walk... right? Wrong. Well, we knew (as a child) and then we forget it, due to the learned maladaptive movement patterns that we pick up from adolescence and adulthood. We don’t move as much, we sit a lot, we don’t squat properly, we don’t run, we do stiffening gym exercises; this all can lead to dysfunction. Here are some key tips to change the way you walk if you don’t do these already. Head Side to Side with each Step : create a “column” between you foot striking the ground, and your head. Spinal movement: move side to side like a snake does and you’ll feel the rotation bringing you forward. Barefoot Shoes: get your feet out of the foot prisons that are modern shoes, and use barefoot shoes if not barefoot. These are simple tips to get you moving closer to how we naturally and primally used to.show more

Every business owner knows how big of a threat... this is… Kamala said that she will “snatch their patent, so that we will take over.” The most telling moment is when a member of the audience asks, “can you do that???” No, she can’t. It’s an unconstitutional invasion of property rights! But with all the confidence in the world, Kamala says, “YES we can do that!” Kamala is the most dangerous and radical nominee we have ever seen.show more

Children enter the world with a singular goal: to... be just like YOU. Luckily they’re born with just the right tools to begin this apprenticeship: rapidly developing brains and finely-tuned powers of observation. And this attention to how you do it is how they learn to speak. And move. And so much more. They’re such wonderful mimics, in fact, that they’ll often incorporate nuances that aren’t necessarily part of the lesson. Which brings us to this amazing video shared to TT by thetemplefam. Our hero has returned home after spending a weekend with his grandfather. And he’s learned a new lesson: when one gets out of a chair he does so stiffly and while groaning. I feel you, gentlemen. What a fantastic example of humankind’s great apprenticeship in action.show more

Throughout practice, he was working on beating double teams and sifting through offensive linemen. Another facet of his game, he is fine-tuning before his final high school season. Let me ask you an honest question: Who’s your... daddy? If you’re a high school student athlete in Illinois, the answer is easy when it comes to one’s “Right to Play.” It’s not your Mom or Dad. It’s a private third-party vendor called the Illinois High School Association (IHSA). If you play a high school sport, the IHSA controls you even when your school day is over and even more when school isn’t even in session. It’s long been an overreach of control from a small group of narrow-minded ego-driven adults literally dictating what student athletes and families can do in their free time. But much-needed and welcome change is getting closer for all student athletes and their families, as more and more student athletes and parents come forward from present and past to speak up and talk about the disadvantages the IHSA - and those who benefit from it - have and are causing. The first victory earlier this week was by slaughter rule, a 12-0 thumping over the IHSA in committee vote. Now it moves to the big leagues. You can read more here: I encourage you to engage and educate yourself in a topic that 75 percent of high school student athletes across the U.S. can do, but it’s something high school student athletes in Illinois can’t do. Over the next 30 days, you are going to see more stories and hear directly from student athletes, families, leading athletic trainers and doctors, school leaders from Illinois and other states on local and national media outlets talking about this overreach and how the IHSA continues to put student athletes at a disadvantage. So I ask you again: Since when does a private third-party vendor get to control what student athletes and their families do, especially during their free time? Think about that. As you’ll see once again, it’s another classic case of cherry-picking to benefit one’s self by an organization that has now lost three consecutive court cases due to its unlawful dictating overreach. As always, I’ll layout both sides and show you how this has and continues to work easily and well for high school student athletes and schools across the U.S. - except in Illinois. They’ll say “health & safety.” They’ll say “scheduling & other logistics.” I’ll show you how those stocked talking points aren’t even tired, “they’re outdated” as one athletic trainer and other athletic director said to me today. Change for adults who control is always hard. It’s time to do what is right and long overdue for high school student athletes and families in Illinois. You’ll see why loud and clear beginning this week. **This is the first in a daily series.**show more

We are only 23 days away from the Obama... Presidential Center's Grand Opening Celebration, and here in Chicago, that number makes us think of only one person: Michael Jordan. President Obama invoked Jordan's greatness often, but most notably when talking about resilience in 2009 in a national address to America's schoolchildren given at Wakefield High School in Arlington, VA: "Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. He lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots. But he once said, 'I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that's why I succeed.'" Jordan is part of how so many Americans define greatness. As a global icon whose athletic career, philanthropy, and business vision broke barriers around the world, Jordan's impact is honored in one of our Exhibition Galleries, Toward A More Perfect Union, located on Museum Level 2. This gallery tells the story of the early influences that shaped President and Mrs. Obama and the grassroots energy of the 2008 campaign.show more

World Models are the path for some AI Models... in the future. But how can we efficiently train these models to not only see the world the way humans do but to see the world in a new and unique way. By visualizing, what is normally sequenced audio patterns, we can derive much more insights. Here we see Paganini in a visual form that can than be described and transcribed into a World Model. We can observe connections in a manner that may not have been clear prior to the digitalization of music and sound in this way. The company with the most valuable potential in building a World Model is Tesla. Not that this type of visualization is being used, but that the mechanisms are in place, and the technology is in place for the company to thrive in this new form of AI.show more

In a world of crazy sport schedules, specialization and... constant skill work, often times BASIC physical development is left to the wayside. When working with MS and HS kids, I do my best to work in things that don’t “look like s&c training” on purpose. It’s generally in our warm ups and on top of gaining mobility and working on skills, it’s fun. Yes lifting is important and vital. But so is basic level floor work and “gymnastics” work. Learning to fall, roll, cartwheels, move on the ground not only aid in mobility + reducing injuries but build a SOLID base of movement literacy. The younger we do these things and more often we do them the better. Remember… getting stronger is easier than getting more athletic.show more

Your baby is born with more than 600 muscles.... As you might imagine, it takes a while to their master use. We call this process “motor development” and generally think of this growth as happening in two categories: Gross motor development involves the use of the large muscles in the torso, arms and legs. And fine motor development entails the use of the small muscles controlling the movements of the fingers, eyes, mouth, etc. Each type progresses toward more and more refined and deliberate movements, passing through a large number of developmental milestones - which brings us to this sweet little one shared to IG by cramberry36. I love mom’s song here, which offers a number of gross motor challenges… two of which our hero has mastered (walking and stopping) and two (hopping and running) still under development. If you watch carefully you’ll notice that he has a clear sense of what it would be like to both run and hop… imitating both to the best of his current ability… but can’t quite achieve liftoff in either case. Running and jumping are fairly advanced skills that involve muscle and bone strength, motor planning, and balance - skills and attributes that most children aren’t yet ready to combine until 18-24 months. That doesn’t make his efforts any less delightful.show more
