Our aero kit for the 2024+ Model 3 Performance... is designed using CFD to enhance performance while preserving Tesla’s renowned efficiency. Shown here is the exploded view of the aero kit parts to show how we accomplish our goal: to work with the Model 3 Performance foundation without disturbing it. The kit now delivers 1896N of downforce, shifting the car from net lift to substantial downforce with a minimal drag increase of just 1.93%. This is achieved through advanced aerodynamic techniques, such as splitter tunnels that enhance front ground effect—features rarely seen on street-legal vehicles. The kit enhances downforce in areas that already have high-pressure air, such as above the grille, over the side inlets, and on top of the front splitter, but also introduces entirely new shapes like the front undertray. Airflow management around the wheels and side skirts is critical for reducing drag and offsetting the added drag from downforce-generating surfaces. Additionally, placing a wing that is highly optimized to minimally disturb Tesla’s refined wake is crucial for maintaining efficiency. Our first test flight is just the beginning! Behind... the scenes, we are focused on up-scaling and improving our technology. We are excited to announce that we have successfully tested the central subsystem of our Helix 2.0 oxygen-rich staged-combustion engine: the powerpack. We have performed two successful hot-fire tests in which we have shown steady-state operation and cavitation limits. The powerpack incorporates the turbopump and pre-burner(s). It is the most complex as well as the most mechanically and thermally stressed subsystem of a staged-combustion engine. This milestone validated key technological challenges, such as the simultaneous ignition of multiple pre-burners and turbopump cavitation performance. The results are in-line with the predictions from our design models. The closed-cycle architecture of Helix allows us to push the performance envelope further: Helix 2.0 is designed to deliver double the thrust (200kN), while mass, production technology and costs remain comparable to Helix 1.0. To presume that there is an inherent flaw in... the RBR Macarena wing design due to the rotation of its flap leading to Max’s issues is fundamentally flawed because Hadjar hasn’t had an issue with it yet. It’s not mental gymnastics folks…it’s engagement bait…. And it doesn’t make sense from an aerodynamic standpoint…either. 😁 Simple thought exercise. Pressure is force acting on an area. Pressure builds as air molecules crash onto an aero surface e. Force acts perpendicular to the surface and can be resolved in drag force and downforce (or lift) force components. Where is the pressure on the RBR wing just before it closes? Don’t believe me? Also my mate Balaskó Dominik did an excellent CFD simulation on his LinkedIn page showing this exactly.show more

Our new mid-size electric truck’s aerodynamic efficiency is more than 15% better than any other pickup truck on the market today. “To the air, it’s no longer a truck”. From a zonal architecture and 48V low-voltage system, to the new in-house E-Box, and smaller and lighter wire harnesses, the team is obsessing over every detail with UEV. As long as there are no meaningful signals from Russia about ending the war, it is crucial to strengthen our defense and especially to invest in Ukrainian production. This is the foundation for peace talks. Thank you, Gitanas, and the Lithuanian people, for sharing this view. We also discussed sanctions pressure, our European integration, and reconstruction. As always, a good meeting with Mark Rutte Mark... Rutte. We discussed the measures we agreed to implement with our partners during the G7 Summit. The key priority is working on strengthening our defense and obtaining licenses from the United States for the production of air defense equipment. We also spoke about adding new contributions to PURL. This initiative is very helpful in protecting lives, and it is essential that deliveries of anti-ballistic missiles be as swift as possible. We’re excited to introduce ShinkaEvolve: An open-source framework that... evolves programs for scientific discovery with unprecedented sample-efficiency. Blog: Code: Like AlphaEvolve and its variants, our framework leverages LLMs to find state-of-the-art solutions to complex problems, but using orders of magnitude fewer resources! Many evolutionary AI systems are powerful but act like brute-force engines, burning thousands of samples to find good solutions. This makes discovery slow and expensive. We took inspiration from the efficiency of nature. ‘Shinka’ (進化) is Japanese for evolution, and we designed our system to be just as resourceful. On the classic circle packing optimization problem, ShinkaEvolve discovered a new state-of-the-art solution using only 150 samples. This is a big leap in efficiency compared to previous methods that required thousands of evaluations. We applied ShinkaEvolve to a diverse set of hard problems with real-world applications: 1/ AIME Math Reasoning: It evolved sophisticated agentic scaffolds that significantly outperform strong baselines, discovering an entire Pareto frontier of solutions trading performance for efficiency. 2/ Competitive Programming: On ALE-Bench (a benchmark for NP-Hard optimization problems), ShinkaEvolve took the best existing agent's solutions and improved them, turning a 5th place solution on one task into a 2nd place leaderboard rank in a competitive programming competition. 3/ LLM Training: We even turned ShinkaEvolve inward to improve LLMs themselves. It tackled the open challenge of designing load balancing losses for Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) models. It discovered a novel loss function that leads to better expert specialization and consistently improves model performance and perplexity. ShinkaEvolve achieves its remarkable sample-efficiency through three key innovations that work together: (1) an adaptive parent sampling strategy to balance exploration and exploitation, (2) novelty-based rejection filtering to avoid redundant work, and (3) a bandit-based LLM ensemble that dynamically picks the best model for the job. By making ShinkaEvolve open-source and highly sample-efficient, our goal is to democratize access to advanced, open-ended discovery tools. Our vision for ShinkaEvolve is to be an easy-to-use companion tool to help scientists and engineers with their daily work. A detailed conversation on all key issues, with special attention to security in the region and on NATO’s eastern flank, as well as support for Ukraine and our defense now. We also touched upon the further development of the PURL initiative, contacts with partners, and joint diplomatic efforts. The issue of frozen Russian assets was discussed as well. Together with our partners, we supported the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war, stop the killings, and achieve a just and lasting peace. I am grateful to the partners for our shared position: the path to peace cannot be determined without Ukraine, and negotiations can only yield results if they take place under a ceasefire. I am also grateful for the active support of our state as long as Russia has not agreed to a ceasefire. I called on our partners to finance Ukrainian drone production to enhance our country’s defense capabilities and to join the new NATO PURL instrument for the procurement of U.S. weapons. During the meeting, we coordinated the next steps and agreed to continue working in close contact between Ukraine, all of Europe, and the United States. HapdZi Birthday, Sam! As many of you are aware,... as part of this year's "Sam's Birthday Fundraiser" we have been raising funds for the dZi Foundation.
