Seedance 2.0 - Advanced Workflows Series 14. Compositing and... Layering Some shots may have many characters that need specific movements. When we start adding characters, it becomes very difficult to achieve the exact animation, gesture, or movement we are looking of all of them in a single generation. In addition, the more characters are added, the more rigid Seedance 2.0 animations become in order to maintain consistency. This is especially visible in styles with squash and stretch and rubber hose animations, where the characters deform their body parts as if they were made of rubber, or in highly expressive movement animations in anime. For these cases, it is better to work on each animation separately and recompose it at the end into a video. Workflow + Prompts 👇show more

Seedance 2.0 editing mode is extremely powerful. You just... need to add the reference and make a simple request — it understands and follows the exact same movements from the original video, adding the characters you asked for in sakuga quality, like Nami vs Maki. It’s only a matter of time before AI does this perfectly. The internet as we know it is about to change.show more

Literally dropping in! 🪂🔥 Took this character sheet from... static to full freefall and I’m obsessed with the result tbh. Pipeline: GPT Image ➡️ Seedance 2.0. Gonna drop the exact prompts for the character and the animation in the thread below so you can try it. 👇 Y'all prefer making realistic characters or anime style rn? 👀show more

The body movements of Anime characters in Seedance doesn’t... has to be always rigid and constrained. They can be as expressive as the real anime too. Here’s a quick tips on how to achieve the cartoony acting style for your anime characters: Special shoutout to Ameilo for sharing the prompt that unlocked this acting style. This tips sharing is made possible by Try ArtCraft Add this Key Prompt above your prompt: Emphasize snappy animation with lively energy, pose-to-pose, strong anticipation, overshoot, squash and stretch, quick switches in facial expressions, and follow-through on hair and sleeves. Give the movements a distinctive rhythm with variation in pacing: Hold still poses firmly for a split second, then transition to the next movement with a quick, bouncy snap. Make it comical and well-timed, but keep the actions easy to read. Movements follow: "stillness → preparatory action → sudden acceleration → large overshoot → sharp stop → hair and sleeves sway delayed." Facial changes are exaggerated and comical. Poses are clear in silhouette, with a solid hold of 0.1–0.2 seconds at the end of each action. Use cartoonish squash & stretch, motion blur, short afterimages, dramatic smear frames and speed lines sparingly. Physics are slightly exaggerated beyond reality, but the character's footing and center of gravity don't break.show more

Using Your Own Characters in Seedance 2.0 Most people... still think you can't use your own characters or personal photos in Seedance 2.0. That's not true. It is absolutely possible. In this video, a character I created appears in three different outfits based on the references I provided. Below, I've explained how you can achieve this properly. You can use this method for character transformations, working with multiple characters or even using your own photos. I'll continue sharing more tips about references. Our opening animation and blog didn't fully show the... interesting dynamics for languages like CJK that have multi-byte characters. In Chinese most characters take up 3 bytes, and when learning end-to-end from bytes it's not even trivial to get the model to chunk these into characters. Early in training this H-Net incorrectly sub-divides characters, but it eventually figures it out. Actually this was a prominent issue in the original H-Net - and even BPE doesn't get it right on rare characters. The blog has some examples!show more

Using Blender camera animation with Seedance 2.0 gives you... a lot more control over your shots. By keyframing the camera in Blender, you can precisely define movement, rotation, and framing, then bring that motion into Seedance. It's a great workflow for previs-style blockouts or any shot where intentional camera movement matters. To try this workflow, link below 👇show more

Show this animation to your kids and see how... much they enjoy it. It was created using one of my Midjourney styles and animated with Seedance 2.0 in TopviewAI If you'd like to learn how to create animations like this, I'd love to welcome you as a subscriber.show more

I didn’t have enough time to fully test Seedance... 2.0 with cartoon styles, but I made an attempt here using an image generated in Midjourney, and the result is promising, though somewhat incomplete. I need to explore it more deeply, but I’m sure it’s possible to achieve some great animations with it.show more

GPT image 2.0 combined with Seedance 2.0 is changing... how animated videos are created. With a single prompt like the one below , AI can generate an entire storyboard and turn it into a cinematic 2D animation, complete with expressive characters, smooth motion, realistic physics, comedy, and perfectly timed action.show more

The gold standard fluid interactions on iOS are built... using in-process client animations (like SwiftUI does it) and not render-server animations (like CoreAnimation does it). This is common knowledge inside of Apple’s UI framework and system experience teams. A close inspection of iOS’s evolution reveals the gradual upgrading of system experiences written using render-server animations (that often disable user interaction) with ones using client animations (that are interruptible and interactive). The app switcher for iPhone X, the Dynamic Island, and Liquid Glass bars are prime examples of this trend. The other thing that makes these experiences feel so fluid is their use of spring animations that preserve velocity, rather than Bézier curve easing functions. To get velocity preservation, you need to be able to interrupt a spring animation and retarget it or drive it with a gesture. That’s a lot easier to do when the animation is running in the same process as the event handling. When we were first pitching SwiftUI, two of our go-to demos were a recreation of the iOS 9 navigation and Home Screen interactions which were fully interactive and interruptible, at a time when the actual implementations of those experiences in the OS disabled user interaction and ran server-side animations. CoreAnimation is great and the framework does much more than animation. You can build a fine app using its server-side animations. But if your UI framework can’t do efficient main thread client animations, there’s a ceiling to the quality of the experience your app can provide.show more

Thinking about going all in and having a bunch... of these acorn characters. Might bring some chuckles! Have them in silly animations on your adventure!show more

I figure it out. It's the animations. I think... Valve may have messed up the third person animation system, animation blending and transitions, foot IK, player positioning, and animation-to-movement synchronization, which can cause players to slide, have broken leg animations, or even clip into the map geometry. I talked before that 26th of April had the best CS2 official build. The feeling was way better, registration was instant, animations looked great, it was enjoyable to play and hold angles. After Cache update everything went downhill. Many asked for proof, I provide link to old build, I played on 60 ping on old build, everything felt amazing. But I couldn't say what was changed. Now after focusing what is happening in my games, it's animations. - People first kill you full running - then you see the counter strafe animation. - Characters clipping into walls, stairs, etc. - Characters sliding all the time. And many other moments where animations look very bad. All my clips are live recordings. And if you check the yt video (PROS PLAY NEW CS2 ANIMGRAPH 2 UPDATE!) You will see how clean it was.show more
