Our main focus is air defense to counter ballistic threats, specifically looking to boost the PURL mechanism and secure PAC-3 missiles through JUMPSTART. Expressed gratitude for the AIM-9 missiles for our F-16s, delivered with Belgium's logistical support. We also focused on scaling our tech, urging Canada to invest in Ukrainian drone production via the "Danish model." Additionally, we discussed the delivery of diesel pickups and long-range artillery ammunition through the Czech initiative. This is unacceptable. Either Minister McGuinty didn't know, which... is failure of leadership, or he did know and is lying to Canadians. As Minister of National Defence, he is regularly briefed, and has the ability to get briefed as frequently as he requests. This should be his first priority especially when our troops may be in harms way. It appears that once again the Liberals are changing their stories to cover up their incompetence. Ukraine is interested in a defense partnership with Spain.... And today, during a meeting with the leaders of Spain’s defense companies and Spain’s Minister of Defense Margarita Robles, we discussed areas of cooperation. Spanish manufacturers presented their developments: anti-drone systems, turrets, aerial and ground drones, long-range detection radars, and munitions. They outlined their production capacity, the potential uses of their equipment, and its technical characteristics. Thank you for the meeting. I had a good meeting with the Prime Minister... of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen Statsministeriet. We discussed the continuation of military support and direct investments in Ukraine’s defense industry. Denmark is one of the leaders in supporting our state and is preparing the 26th package of military aid for Ukraine. This support helps save lives, and we deeply appreciate it. We also talked about the negotiations in Istanbul and the coordination of diplomatic efforts with the U.S. and European partners. We share the view that pressure on Russia is crucial if they refuse to agree to a ceasefire. In July this year, Denmark will begin its Presidency of the EU Council. We are counting on their support for Ukraine’s European integration, which we discussed during the meeting.
