Slice mostly comes from poor upper body coil.⛳ Turn... your lead shoulder deep over your trail foot, keep pressure inside that foot, and stay balanced. That creates space in transition — an inside path, less slice, more power. Direction and distance both start with depth of rotation. 🏌️♂️show more

Unsure the level of concern at the moment (1.09... FIP + 27.5 K-BB%) but I think it's worth nothing that Sanchez's FB velo is down: First 3 G (2026): • 94.4 MPH (-2.1) • 94.3 MPH (-1.5) • 94.6 MPH (-0.6) *(L: '26, R: '25)* Last year: • Sanchez was a bit more efficient w/ his hip + shoulder separation • His body was more linear, helping that center of mass move correctly. • Better lower half allowing him to keep that pelvis a bit more linear -- which is likely result of the ribcage is stacked over his pelvis + sitting in that load longer on foot strike (??) This year: • Energy is leaking from that back knee into rotation • Upper + lower working w/ each other more and less of working against one another (arm doing more than it should) • His pelvis is noticeably tipping down through rotation (not a direct cue but more of a result of less lower half activation) Angles/WBC fatigue could also be at play here as well -- but assuming they're not could be some things to clean upshow more

Here is a drill to help you learn what... it feels like to use the ground and start to sequence effectively. Notice how the club is setup in the video between my feet. Get to your back swing and jump favoring your lead foot left and laterally like I am. With that feeling step in and hit one. Not where you are pushing off from when you swing and try and get that into a feeling that makes sense to you. This is how power is created in the golf swing. This is also where physical limitations can show up.show more

This “Layback Drill” w/ #Uncommitted ‘26 SS Nash Brophy... of Wow Factor Baseball Canada 🇨🇦 is a hitting CHEAT CODE 👨🏽💻 •Creates fluidity & efficiency from launch thru turn •Easy adjustability to any pitch plane/location •Tight turns to any part of zone, keeps hands inside ⚾️ •Path builds speed earlier, is more controlled+accurate, and stays on plane more consistently •Connects bat with the entire backside and takes away the inaccuracy of a hand dominant path •Builds momentum for hands to take over late in path (like an axe) •Once in good layback position, all you do is take the back hip + back shoulder directly to the ball while turning, and the path will match the plane of the back shoulder perfectly. •Takes away choppy+pushy path that’s in zone late & leaves early •Becomes rearward turn that’s in zone early & leaves late #baseballcanada #baseballontario #hitting #hittingdrills #hittingcoach #baseballacademy #playerdevelopment #baseballtraining #canada #ontario #toronto #mlbshow more

May be the most difficult hurdle for a wrestler... to clear—trusting that the same offense that built the lead is what protects it. The instinct is to protect the lead, but the approach that creates better odds, less regret, and is simply more logical is to keep wrestling the same way that created the lead. Stay on the attack, stay in position, and keep applying pressure. The one who needs to change and create opportunity is the opponent who is losing. So why would you go ahead and assist them in this by back peddling and lead protecting, opening up two windows that weren’t there before? 1 – Stall points 2 – Allowing your opponent to solely focus on their offense as they no longer have to respect your attacks. You hear wrestlers in post-match interviews “We do this all the time in the room! Down 2 with 30 seconds left and working to find a takedown.” Not so much the opposite… “up 2 with 30 seconds left and just have to find ways to back up to protect the lead!” So why resort to something you don’t practice in the most crucial moments of a match—or your season? This is from the excellent series “The Climb” by Stilly Boys on YouTube — a segment from Episode 2: Road to the Big 12s.show more

Physics might have it backwards. We’re taught: Space →... exists Time → flows Matter → sits inside it But what if it’s actually the opposite? What if: Time comes first… And when time isn’t perfectly balanced, it creates structure. That structure becomes: → Geometry (space) → Energy → Matter So atoms aren’t really “things”… They’re stable patterns of time imbalance. Gravity? Just large-scale time compression. Quantum weirdness? Timing mismatches in the same underlying field. So instead of: Matter builds reality It becomes: Time imbalance builds everything. If time was perfectly uniform… Nothing would exist. No particles. No space. No universe. Just perfect symmetry. Time imbalance creates structure. Follow me for more deep insightsshow more

It's not an accident that Jhoan Duran and Mason... Miller are at the top of baseball's velocity charts. When you break down their mechanics, one number jumps out: they both get into footstrike in 1.05 seconds or less. ⚡️ Why does that matter? Timing into footstrike is one of the simplest, most powerful tells in a delivery. The faster you get your front foot down, the less time your body has to add unnecessary movement. Slow deliveries leave room for energy leaks. Every extra beat is another chance for your mechanics to fall out of sync. This is especially true for younger pitchers who are less coordinated and newer to throwing. When you move fast and with intent, you cut out wasted motion and let athleticism take over. This is why "move fast" is the simplest cue you can give a pitcher at every level. Simplify the movement, stay on time and let the velocity show up on its own. Duran and Miller are proof that elite velo starts with elite tempo. ⚾🔥show more

Grip a club in your lead hand. Observe how... twisting your forearm changes the angle of the face. This is largely what controls where your ball flies. Small differences in this angle lead to huge changes in shot direction. This precision is not being trained in the gym with “golf exercises”. Poor control of this face angle is what leads to a whole host of swing issues. More so than physical limitations. For example, it is far more likely you come over the top in an effort to stop the ball going right because your face is wide open and you’ve seen the ball go right the last 5000 times than it is you lack hip or shoulder mobility. It would be beneficial for me as a trainer to say otherwise, but I just don’t believe it to be true. Use the gym to work on your physical capabilities. Improve your mobility, strength, and power. These are the things you are losing as you age. Leave the swing mechanics for your practice and golf lessons. If you try to “fix your swing in the gym” you will likely do a poor job of training your swing and your body.show more

An Oldie but a Goldie. Approach ➜ Power V... One of the biggest keys to a consistent swing is what happens from approach to Power V. As the knob turns toward the pitcher and into the path of the pitch, the barrel naturally falls behind your hands. We don’t need to flick it back to have it fall behind..DUH From there, don’t throw the barrel at the ball. Release it in the most direct line along the path of the pitch. Some pitches require a slightly steeper path. Others require a flatter one. But the goal stays the same: ✔️ Keep the barrel below your hands through extension. Approach = The barrel works to the side of the shoulder as the body turns toward the pitcher. Power V = The release of the lag and extension of the barrel through the baseball. Master that section of the swing, and you’ll give yourself a much better chance to create consistent contact, adjust to different pitch planes, and produce real power. Train with an expert, not an influencer.show more

Nice changes to a massive inside takeaway with of... of my guys James You'll see in the "before" video, James would shoot his hands OUT & away from his body, forcing the club excessively inside & behind him. The momentum of this movement would cause the club to get too far across the line & create an excessive over the top movement, late shallowing & he'd get the club stuck behind & hit block cuts Now, the takeaway is less inside & the momentum of the club now allows him to set the club more down the line at the top, reducing the chances of the club getting stuck behind him I don't mind the little over the top hand path & steeper shaft in transition (relative to P3 - lead arm parallel in the downswing) Still work to do & to perform at speed, but we are getting better! ‘29 IF/RHP Brice Staples🔒15U National‼️ 5’10 160. Rare athlete... w/ explosive fast twitch fibers and standout actions in all facets. Rhythm, timing, balance, and body ctrl lead to consistent hard contact at plate. Advanced swing mechanics (breakdown below) & hitting absolutes maximize his adjustability and outputs. Rangy IF with instincts and tools to play anywhere on the Diamond at a high level. Ceiling just as high on mound where he T88. Young for class. Swing Mechanics ⬇️ Hips control lower half promoting good direction and optimal front hip clearance by foot strike, giving him momentum, room & readiness to turn on inner half velo w/ ease. Exceptional posture (chest over ⚾️) allows him to cover entire plate and creates linear window for adjustable path to any pitch location. Proper weight distribution allows him to land & swing w/ head in vertical line with inside of back hip. This creates auto lift, allows him to easily turn behind ball and increased reaction time. 🎥 cred to Perfect Game Scout & Prep Baseball Virginia/DCshow more

In simple terms: The best hitters create power and... adjustability by using their trunk (rib cage and torso) efficiently. When the shoulders stay back a little longer, hitters gain two huge advantages: 👉They don't commit too early, which gives them more time to recognize and adjust to pitches. 👉They can create a bigger burst of speed when it's time to swing. Think of it like a rubber band. The longer you can keep tension without forcing it, the more powerful the release. For that to happen, the upper body and lower body can't move as one rigid piece. The pelvis starts and slows down at different times than the rib cage. That separation is what creates both power and adjustability. ❌Hitters who move everything together usually have to commit earlier and have fewer options when the pitch isn't what they expected. Power and adjustability aren't opposites—they come from the same ability to sequence the body correctly. Use this simple drill connecting a pvc pipe or long tube to the chest and practice your best range of motion every day before you hit.show more

I haven’t been able to get an ambulance or any means of transportation at this hour — it’s now 10:30 p.m. I’m currently walking to the hospital on foot, while my daughter’s condition is on the verge of death. I’m exhausted from life, and tired of everything that keeps happening to me... I’m terrified that I might lose her while she’s in my arms. Please, keep Kiraz in your prayers. Blood pressure often rises in winter. Cold is a... form of stress on the body. When temperatures drop, blood vessels naturally constrict to preserve heat. Over time, that adds strain to circulation. Winter also tends to mean: • less movement • heavier food • more stress • less hydration All of that matters. This is why seasonal support looks different. One simple shift in winter is warming the body instead of cooling it further: • drink warm water instead of cold • choose broths, soups, stews, slow-cooked meals • support circulation with food This is one of the drinks I use seasonally. Beetroot + hibiscus • Chop fresh beetroot • Add to a pot with dried hibiscus • Cover with water and gently simmer • Strain and drink warm or cooled • Optional add honey Both beetroot and hibiscus have been traditionally used to support circulation and vascular function. Have you noticed your body needing different support in winter?show more
