Some insider info regarding Deadlock PvE. The PvE mode... features 4 game variants and 7 different stages* (*?). Heroes have a progression system and personal Artifacts (currently one of the testing options). You kill monsters and get a chest containing an item. In one of the variants, chests drop from bosses. In another, they are rewarded for completing challange (potentially along the lines of: "kill 100 monsters using the 1st skill, get upgrades beneficial for the 1st skill"). Items can stack and be upgraded (similarly to Streetbrawl, but like you'll get 4 items, but each duplicate will affect the damage percentage, radius, etc.) The number of items and possible upgrades is limited. There are also legendary items from Streetbrawl, as well as a new type of item (artifacts) that have a separate inventory slot. Bosses can disable your stamina and items, and affect both you and the monsters in general. The final objectives differ for each mode, but exact descriptions are not available yet. --- In reality, this is the exact same thing that happened with StreetBrawl 6 - Valve threw in a wide variety of ideas and is currently testing them. (For those who don't remember, there were initially many different rumors about how StreetBrawl worked, but the final 4v4 system, random items, and round-based combat remained). Information from an anonymous source who previously discussed the mod-split in the Ranked update and the item changes in the Minor Update (prior to the Ranked update)show more

BIG UPDATE! #IRyStocrats & #deadbeats ! Per our last... update, everything was supposed to have shipped already - Irys Portrait tees and Calli Metalcropolis Hoodies. Due to issues with our printer being unable to obtain the appropriate blanks garments in a timely fashion, everything is running late with them (not just our items). That's the bad news. The good news is they've finally caught up and have promised us all items will be printed next week. You'll probably start seeing update emails with tracking towards the end of next week/beginning of the following week, and then items will start shipping a few days after once our new shipping company gets the items and gets them out the door. Thank you so much for your patience. For deadbeats, we've got a little something in each package for you. For Irystocrats, we'll be sending you an email with something in it once items start shipping. It will be useful very soon after. Trust. #vagueposting In the meantime, enjoy this animation of maegjuw ♡ メイジュ ‘s art by Jusagi 🎲💭⏳🗿 !!!show more

UPDATE The man in the video has now come... forward and provided the following video to explain what he brought into Mitch Sylvester's store. Information that I have received includes - He avoided calls from the RCMP for several weeks - He left the store with the item - He is claiming it was just a misunderstanding - The RCMP still has an open investigation - Charges could still be filed - There was one item, not two as previously reported If this was infact the item he brought into the store along with his "This is for Mitch" message, this is hands down the dumbest thing anyone can do to the employees of the store, and to Mitch directly. There still is an active investigation as showing staff a bullet, or a pen that looks like a bullet, uttering a threat, and not responding to the RCMP for weeks, is still grounds for criminal charges. Thank you to the dozens of people who did recognize the man, and provided tips.show more

The once-profitable CS2 skins market has collapsed by a... billion dollars! The culprit is a new update in the game - now you can craft knives that previously only dropped from cases with a random chance. Their prices have plummeted, while the skins needed for crafting knives have skyrocketed. Valve added an exchange mechanic: now 5 items of covert quality can be turned into a knife. For $5, you can get a blade that yesterday cost $5000 — and sell it right away. As a result, knives have depreciated, while red guns have surged in price by 10–20 times. Trading sites crashed from the influx of panicking players selling off their items, and the market, which was recently called "the most reliable asset at $6 billion," is bursting at the seams. In the end, overnight the richest knife collectors lost millions, while owners of cheap "red skins" became fabulously rich. At the same time, analysts had previously noted that weapon skins from CS2 turned out to be more stable than crypto, American stocks, and precious metals.show more

Sure, but the idea of simplifying the appearance of... Fortnite, the locker and the shop are all going in the exact opposite direction of simplicity. Equipping cosmetics takes double, if not triple the clicks. The UI is impractical and janky, not to mention the introduction of buttons and drop-down menus that were far easier to access previously. Selecting a skin to rotate it, preview it or even spin it around now requires clicking on it, which then applies it to your loadout. Previously this needed a confirm button so you could preview and choose skins, backblings etc without loosing your currently equipped on if you want to go back. Wraps are not included as part of a character's preset despite being completely relevant to the skin worn. Changing emotes, lobby tracks, and all cosmetics now means you have to back out and change tabs, something that could have previously been done on 1 page. The sectioned tabs make sense with new types like LEGO Kits, Cars, Instruments but there's no need to separate Character from Wraps, Emotes or Lobby. Archiving or Favoriting items can no longer be done in batches or quickly. Previously all you had to do was click once per cosmetic on the button but now you have to enter a drop down and select it for every individual item. Applying wraps to all slots now requires a drop down menu rather than simply clicking the button at the bottom. Swinging a pickaxe or redeploying a glider is near impossible to do and feels like more of a chore to actually accomplish with the drop-down menu. It overlays onto other items meaning as soon as it's clicked the menu vanishes and switches to another cosmetic before the animation can even begin. Cosmetics in the locker can be searched by seasons using "S1-17" but after S18+ they no longer filter. Entering the drop-down menu or right-clicking anything in the locker accidentally immediately takes you all the way back to your currently equipped item when exiting. The filter menu requires an "apply" button to be pressed rather than simply closing and applying when selecting one of the filters, taking longer and more clicks to simply find your recent items or remove a filter. The filter menu was also better as a side panel so you don't have to move your cursor to the center of the screen and back every single time. As a side panel it also allowed for more options to be displayed, whereas the current one requires a huge scroll bar to simply filter by favorite. The presets menu scroll wheel also zooms the skins in and out as you scroll up and down the list. Because of the randomize preset button, the list compared to when saving a preset is all moved up by 1, becoming disorientating to where the preset was in relation to the rows. The shop no longer displays item descriptions or set names on cosmetics - now requiring a click on each individual item when there is adequate space to do so. The new shop and locker appearance can be accustomed to, however, it NEEDS the basic functionality and user-friendly UI elements that the previous ones had. Simple buttons at the bottom to favorite, swing, redeploy and equip. Less tabs to switch between, less clicks required to complete simple tasks and less feeling like there's a battle against the UI itself just to equip the cosmetics you paid for. We appreciate the moves the renew the locker and shop, but in terms of functionality and user interaction, there is nothing we want more than the old one back or the old one's elements merged into the new appearance. Thank you.show more

All these fruits are being produced in Kaduna. The... stickers on the apples are just there to give the impression that they are imported. Apples are currently in season and are being sold in bulk and hawked in wheelbarrows. That's how abundant and affordable they are here. The video showing a small grapevine in a backyard is just a setup to provide shade for goats and chickens to retire to after a long day of grazing, but the farmers have a larger plantations in the farming area. The last video is a guava field occupying about 2.5 hectares where 3m naira worth of guavas are being sold WEEKLY once the rain starts until tye end of the rainy season. This is because the farmers there pay little attention to irrigation. For the grapes, I couldn't get a picture of them being hawked in wheelbarrows as they are currently out of season but would be back for a second harvest in the next two months. I came across a post where someone mentioned buying grapes from a wheelbarrow vendor, and it sounds like a myth to a food number of the people in the south... For those who were in my DM asking for sources to buy grapes in large quantities in the north, just get your cash ready, as the 2nd harvest season will soon be,in the next two months. The guy who killed United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson... isn't a super assassin. He left at the scene 3 live FMJ rounds and 3 spent shell casings. He's not using a B&T Station Six-9, you can see the slide move in the zoomed video which the BT 6 doesn't have a slide. Also he went to Starbucks before the shooting and is on video and NYPD has items from there they are testing for DNA. This seems personal.show more

The Sabotaging Practice of Over Supply and Sameness in... the NFT Space. The current zeitgeist of the NFT space is that the same artists are doing the same kind of work five times a year, with project after project leaving a trail of disappointment and discontent among collectors and all of us watching in disbelief as huge resources are extracted from the space over work that feels like it could be left as an "artist study." I understand that you can do what you want with your money as collectors, but we are killing the whole space with this incestuous practice. No artist is that prolific to be able to do 5 collections of 100+ pieces each every year and actually deliver innovation and some kind of creative evolution. Of course, they can pretend play that the work has something new, but there is no precedent nor proof that that has ever happened in the speed that it happens in the NFT space. Again, people are free to through away their resources on whatever they want but with this way of doing things, we more and more are going to start seeing the consequences. Oh! There are consequences? Yes. Maybe unintended, but there are. Let's see. Let's start with the loss of belief in the NFT space as somewhere where emerging artists can come and find support for their experiments. Why even bother to bring experiments, innovation, and new ways to think of art on the blockchain if the same people have all the collectors hypnotized with their magical flutes? Why even try to come to a space where taking risks and challenging the status quo (the mission of art!!!) is overlooked? This makes the NFT space a social club and not a space for art. I guess it is fine, but IMO it is a recipe for disaster. New collectors stay away because the art will slowly but surely become stale and un-challenging. Why even bother to come and see what is happening here if you can't, as a collector, see new weird and up-and-coming artists? The amount of noise emitted by the same artists doing the same art over and over, drowns out any new voices. Again. A recipe for disaster. The NFT space is becoming a space of disappointment and doubt. We think that collections going to zero one after the other, over and over, is not damaging? I feel we are kidding ourselves. Disappointment piles up, and again, the people who will hurt are the emerging artists, the new blood, the ones who are willing to risk the most and, in return, put fire in this cold space of sameness. I love this space—don't get me wrong—it has changed my life, and I believe it has a ton of potential, but things need to change for it to become a beacon of light in art. But we need to support new voices. We need to support new ideas. The challenge is huge. I hope to contribute all I can to this change. I hope more and more see how exciting it is to go out and try to discover what else is out there and move this space forward. But again, I understand the leaps of faith needed, but if there is a space that is based on that, it's the NFT space...so there is hope. We will see. 📺by Boldtronshow more

Alaska. Putin and Trump. The meeting that was both... awaited and feared. The outcome. By Roman Alekhin To discuss this further, the key point to understand is this: Two and a half hours behind closed doors is too little for leaders of nuclear powers if they are just starting a conversation—but too much if they were merely posing for cameras. This means the real work happened earlier—quiet, working discussions “behind the door” that never made it into the official communiqué. These are what stopped Trump from imposing secondary sanctions; this is where the exchange of conditions took place, terms that won’t be disclosed until both leaders decide the time is right. I suspect Syria was discussed, as well as the “Trump Bridge” (instead of Zangezur), the Middle East, and much more that isn’t yet visible to the naked eye. The public part? Pure theater. The point wasn’t to negotiate in front of the world or sign something, like Trump did with Armenia and Azerbaijan—minor players, important only tactically. The point was to send a signal: the presidents of Russia and the U.S. are shaking hands and smiling again, no knives behind their backs. This signals that a new reality has arrived, one that Europe, Ukraine, and everyone accustomed to building their worldview around the idea of “Russia’s isolation” will now have to reckon with—including those within our own countries. Trump’s comments on Fox News were deliberately vague—he’s a master at leaving room for maneuver. But the key takeaway is clear: the pressure will now shift from Moscow to Kyiv and Brussels. This is evident even in the final format—not a word about a “no-conditions” ceasefire, which was Europe and Zelensky’s main demand. This means the discussion on a final peace has been postponed, but within a clear framework: Zelensky must exit the war in a way that lets Europe save face. Russia’s red lines have long been clear: non-aligned status for Ukraine, return of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions within their administrative borders (not the frontlines), lifting of sanctions, and real democracy in Ukraine without persecution of the Russian language or the Orthodox Church. These conditions will prolong the conflict for some time. Zelensky will need to stage a fighting retreat to the administrative borders—this will allow Europe to save face. But the logic is already visible: Ukraine’s defeat will be framed not as a “crushing” but as a “peaceful settlement.” Six months—that’s the timeframe in which we’ll see the dynamics. If the front accelerates, the deal is working. If it stalls, not all pieces are in place yet. But the main thing is already done: Russia is back in the game, not through gray negotiating formats but through a handshake on American soil—even if it’s chilly Alaska. (Though we have warm ties to the region, as seen in the wreath-laying for the “Heroes of ALSIB” and the meeting with Archbishop Alexy of Sitka and Alaska.) For the world, this is an image where smiles are worth more than signatures. For Trump—a chance to show he’s the only one who can “make peace.” For Putin—a symbolic victory: Russia is not a besieged enemy but an equal player. For Europe and Ukraine—the beginning of a painful new phase where they’ll have to accept the inevitable. In these talks, there were no winners or losers in Alaska. In Alaska, both presidents won, while those who weren’t there—lost, or at the very least, didn’t win.show more

LLM Artifacts Connected to Andrej Karpathy's LLM Knowledge base... idea, I've been building out a fun way to generate dynamic artifacts from these knowledge bases with the goal of discovering and revealing meaningful and deeper insights. LLM KBs are hard to consume for humans, as I think they are more built for agents. So the question is, what form would be useful for humans to take actions and make important decisions? That's what I am trying to figure out with these artifacts. The artifact example shows a pulse on HN discussions around AI-related stories. The insights can go deeper, of course, but this is already super fun and thought-provoking, like some of my favorite podcasts. The format and depth matter a lot. The aggregation skills of agents are outstanding if you tune the prompts and skill carefully. I built this artifact generator in a few minutes through an agent skill, but I feel like there are so many ways that LLM-generated information can be used and consumed. Like generating deeper insights and analysis, and things that are just not feasible for humans today. The generated artifact (including its data and design) serves as reusable templates or can be updated in real-time via auomations, which is something I am also working on. It is truly an insane way to monitor and track information. Better than a newsletter. Better than newspapers. There is something about this that gets me really excited about the future of AI agents for knowledge generation and discovery. Lots of hidden gems everywhere just waiting to be discovered and acted on if the information is presented correctly. This is not perfect. The format, style/prose can be improved, but this is easy to customize via skill. You can personalize it to your liking. I feel like these dynamic artifacts are going to emerge as a strong new medium to stay on the cutting edge of things, both for agents and humans. My target is research, of course. This was just a basic example. Besides animation, I am also targeting other components like voice, videos, images, slides, etc. This space is full of opportunities to explore. Skill for this coming soon.show more

The Charm of Charms I see a lot of... people saying that Charms are not a good investment because they are removable and not consumables. My opinion is quite the opposite. Charms can hold more value by being removable. People know that they can buy, use the items for how long they want, and sell whenever they want. This is what makes it feel more high-tier and special. If it was not removable, it wouldn't feel high-tier, it would be a disposable item with an expiration date. And CS2 is clearly following the realism path and Charms surely can be removed IRL, this is actually their goal, their purpose. Making it consumable would not make sense considering the theme of the game. And there is another important point: People that buy Charms don't just buy 1, they buy a bunch, 1 for each skin, or at least the top ones: USP, Glock, AWP, AK, M4, A1. Just using on the top weapons, each buyer will have 6x instead of just 1 or 2 knife/agent, for example. So the demand tends to be even higher, pressuring up the prices in the long-term. Keep an eye on it: Now that the Shanghai Major is happening, I am seeing a lot of pros using Charms. There is the possibility that the CS2 community starts accepting and liking even more of the new items, after the event. This Major will also be a showcase of skins to casuals. Let's see how it plays out.show more

Happy Tuesday! So far we're quite happy with where... Mel and Warwick landed on the 6 cost side, so for TFT13.4 it's time to get Viktor there. Right now a zero item Viktor is providing far too much power and utility, while an itemized Viktor doesn't feel like its different enough or worth the investment. Even 2* Viktor is the worst of the 2* 6 costs. So let's change that! Viktor will no longer shred and sunder, and the % HP damage part of his spell is going down significantly. However in exchange, the damage is going up a decent amount. An itemless Viktor will do around the same amount of damage as before, but now giving him items will feel much better! This should get Viktor in line with the other 6 costs. And while we were at it, we had to fix what is probably the most annoying issue...the 50/50. Now if both players have a Viktor and neither is interrupted, instead of it being an awkward coin flip, they will now both properly cast and stun everything. Huzzah! (See video) Ok that's it for today's update. Hope you have a great day! Take it easy :)show more
