Unity 6 finally has a pretty great water system.... This was available but lacked a ton of features in the last version I was on. Previously you either had to be a shader wizard or get something inferior on the asset store. Glad this was finally realized.show more

The Curiosity rover broke free from the "captivity" it... had found itself in just a few days earlier – on April 25th, after drilling into a rock, it literally "stuck" to the drill bit and refused to release. Instead of breaking apart during the drilling, the rock was pulled out of the surface in one piece and remained hanging on the drill bit as the robotic arm began to lift. And it wasn't just a small fragment. NASA estimates the rock was about half a meter wide, about 15 cm thick, and weighed about 13 kg. At first, the scientists tried to dislodge it by vibrating the drill, hoping the rock would shake off on its own. This didn't work. A few days later, they repositioned the robotic arm and turned on the vibration again. Sand fell off the rock, but it remained attached. Then, on May 1st, the engineers used a more aggressive sequence of actions: they tilted the drill bit more sharply, began rotating it, and simultaneously increased the vibration. It worked – on the first try, the stone finally broke loose, fell onto the surface of Mars and split.show more

After so many weeks of full work and busy schedules he finally have the time to release stress, enjoy the water and maybe recording a challenge that we saw he likes.show more

My daily swimmaxing routine: - every morning before work,... 7am, 30 min - another one in the evening after work, 7-8pm - best stress relief I’ve found (on par with lifting) - bad day just dissolves once I’m in the water - sleep is deeper, next day I’ve more energy - also for me salty water helps more vs fresh water so I stick to the sea/ocean when I can, but in winter a pool will do too Took a while to build the habit (sometimes I feel lazy) but now I can’t skip it.
