Slightly unorthodox delivery, but gets down the mound well. Sat 90-91 MPH in the first and 88-90 MPH in the second. Has feel for change up at 76-79 MPH and slider has ranged from 77-82 MPH. Will Ray (Wake Forest Baseball) was one of the... most dominant relievers on the Cape this summer. The former two-way showcased a high 80s - low 90s sinker from a sidearm slot with plenty of run and a sweeping slider that limited hitters to an average of 68.2 mph EV and a 0.59 xFIP (per Anthony Marotta as of 7/19). It's a plus pitch that was used more than the sinker and acts as his best offering. He also mixed in a splitter with some sink to get miss in and out of the zone. He appeared in 14 games for the Whitecaps on the Cape, limiting hard contact and base-runners with a 1.18 WHIP, 23 K/2 BB in 22 IP. Ray's stuff played well in the lower half of the zone but was susceptible to the long ball at times. Perhaps adding a four-seam FB that could get some chase at the top of the zone could help his overall profile. As of 7/23, Ray was 100th percentile in hard-hit % and 93rd percentile in opponent average exit speed (per Anthony Marotta). Ray made significant progress in his control and as a result, dropped his 4.9 BB/9 in 44 IP last spring to just 0.8 BB/9 in 22 IP this summer in the CCBL. He was able to make some of the top offensive college bats look foolish (Kurland - sinker, Burress - slider, Martinez - splitter; shown below).show more

In 2024, Russia faced a 13-year record jump in... gas prices after a series of Ukrainian drone attacks on refineries that caused fuel production to collapse by more than 10% in the first half of the year. According to Rosstat, from the beginning of the year to December 23, gasoline prices rose by 11% on average in Russia. At the same time, prices in remote regions of the Far East exceeded the Russian average by a quarter. By the end of the year, gasoline price growth will be the strongest since 2011. For the first time in 6 years, gasoline prices have risen significantly above the headline inflation rate, which the Russian ministry of economic development estimates at 9.7% a week before the end of the year. This year, the Russian government tried to curb gasoline prices by banning its exports: the restrictions were imposed shortly after two dozen major Russian refineries were attacked by Ukrainian UAVs and a number of them were forced to halt production. By the end of May, the decline in gasoline production in Russia reached 20% compared to December 2023, and diesel fuel - 11%. In response, the authorities classified fuel output statistics, citing geopolitics and the threat of market manipulation as reasons. In 2025, gasoline will continue to rise in price in Russia. In the best-case scenario, it will rise by 10-15%, and in the worst case - 20%, which, according to Rosstat, has not happened in Russia since 2004 (when the cost of fuel jumped by a record 31.3%). The reason will be an increase in Transneft's pipeline pumping tariffs, as well as a sharp increase in excise taxes: they will rise 14% for gasoline and 16% for diesel fuel, which is three times more than was provided for in the Tax Code (4.7%). According to government calculations, this will bring 170 billion rubles ($1,6 billion) to the treasury, of which 116 billion ($1,13 billion) will be due to the unscheduled increase. Rising gasoline prices will automatically lead to higher prices for everything else in Russia, as the cost of fuel is included in the delivery of all goods and automatically increases the cost of the end product for the buyer. Inflation in Russia will also increase.show more

🏝️ Bali's trash burning problem has just reached new... toxic heights This week, Bali's biggest landfill has been ordered to close. The landfill is a more than 35 meter high mountain of decaying trash covering 32 hectares. It's closed because the gases emanated from it are toxic and ground water is being contaminated This means there's no other landfill of this size near to accept Bali's current trash. So the government has instructed people that "household waste should be disposed of at home" which in Bali means burning it! Trash burning has been a tradition for centuries in Bali (and Indonesia), but it used be mostly organic matter that was being burned Once plastic arrived the tradition didn't change though and locals started burning plastic too, pumping toxic gases into the air causing massive spikes of lung cancer and other respiratory diseases The tradition means on a daily basis around 7 in the morning and 6 in the evening, your neighbours will be burning their trash, and if you're not lucky there's a construction site near which will burn even more but all day! Burning plastic means you emit dioxins and furans, some of the most potent human carcinogens that exist I have friends in Indonesia with family with lung cancer cases, it's a real thing. My fear with Bali has always been that the digital nomads there might not realize the slow danger creeping up on them. You get used to the trash burning and polluted air very quickly in Bali and it probably doesn't affect you over a year or so But if you're there for many years, it will in some way or the other! For a community that's so about fitness and health, air quality is weirdly a consideration mostly overlooked in Balishow more

📢 Genesis Pass Drop Update Two important changes. Please... read and share. 🔺 We are moving the mint to our own website: No more OpenSea. This means a smoother experience for everyone. Plus the savings from that switch go directly to the top 100 on the Leaderboard as a thank you. Once minted, your Genesis Pass can still be traded on OpenSea. 📅 All dates moved back one day. 🕒 UTC Schedule: • Free Mint: April 7 — 3:00 PM UTC • GTD Allowlist: April 8 — 3:00 AM UTC @ ~$8 in ETH • FCFS Allowlist: April 8 — 3:00 PM UTC @ ~$10 in ETH • Public Mint: April 9 — 3:00 PM UTC @ ~$15 in ETH • Mint closes: April 14 — 3:00 PM UTC ⚡ Supply is limited by time, not by number There is no fixed supply cap. The mint window is what determines how many Genesis Passes exist. Once the window closes, minting ends. This changes how the allowlist works: GTD and FCFS are no longer about guaranteed access vs. limited slots, everyone can mint. The difference is now price. GTD allowlist gets early access at $8 (20% off original), FCFS allowlist at $10, and Public at $15. If you're on the FCFS allowlist, make sure to mint before Public opens to lock in your price at $10. After that, it's $15 for everyone. ⛓ Ethereum Mainnet. A new week is here, but what makes it... more fun is the amount of information you hop in on early enough. Here are some projects I’ve got my eyes on; 1) Brevis comes in first with verifiable computing solving issues of re-executing orders on the blockchain. Recently, team introduced the new pico prism; a state of the art zkVM for faster Ethereum proving in seconds. 2) Modular layer chains for better integration of RWAs are also not left out with integra. as the XP gathering has begun. Everything about integra stays under the carpet, but they are making big moves for RWAs on chain. 3) Cysic; the future of computefi has also been quiet lately. After the buzz around the cubes minted, I expected an update from them soonest. 4) Momentum finance has been the buzz all over CT the last few days after announcing the community round on Buidlpad Ⓜ️Ⓜ️T coming soon. A recent title deed nomination wave swept across MomentumⓂ️Ⓜ️T community members to reward those that have been supportive all along. 5) AI development and innovation are also not left out as Michael Heinrich (Ø,G) spearheads the entire 0G Labs (Home of Infinite AI) ecosystem to finality. It’s crazy enough if you think the second round of airdrop was all from the 0G team, they keep shipping new products daily. Only believe in them. 6) On the track to integrating AGIs, Sentient isn’t left out as well, as they’re recently on one of the biggest stages; NeurIPS Conference. The recent update showed that 4 of their papers were accepted across various categories. Screams bullish to be IMO. 7) In all of the TGEs and allocation announcements this year, Everlyn ranks one of the worst. They eventually came up with an option to refund subscription users (Who ever thought that was a good idea?😶). They need to realize that as a web2 company coming into web3, you need to understand the lingual here before engaging. These are basically the major updates on them all, but I’ll definitely add to them as I find more. Stay woke ANON.show more

SECRET TUNNELS REPORTEDLY FOUND UNDER CHABAD-LUBAVITCH HEADQUARTERS IN NEW... YORK! I’m tracking the story of the secret tunnels found under the Chabad-Lubavitch Headquarters in Crown Heights. A Union Street homeowner told several weeks ago that they had been hearing suspicious noises at night in their home for a period of time. As the noise continued, the concerned homeowner notified someone of the sounds and their suspicion. reported that around this same time construction workers found what appeared to be a tunnel underground. Last night vandalism and chaos occurred allegedly because cement trucks were brought in to fill in the tunnels. The bochurim allegedly began disconnecting, hosing and vandalizing the cement trucks. The NYPD was called in and the vandalism continued inside. The bochurim flipped tables and ripped off the walls of downstairs 770 exposing the hidden tunnel. There were reportedly also attempts to pepper spray police officers. One of the more disturbing videos from the incident shows a stained mattress was pulled from the underground tunnel. Also, there’s a photo of what appears to be a baby highchair allegedly found in the tunnel. There were reportedly at least 10 people arrested. Curiously, there’s photos of mainstream media at the scene at around 7 p.m. EST; however, the MSM has been suspiciously silent. This raises red flags — are they all waiting for their 4 a.m. talking points before they cover this? The X page for The Chabad-Lubavitch Headquarters released a statement over an hour ago; however, they made no mention of the tunnels. The statement read: “The Chabad-Lubavitch community is pained by the vandalism of a group of young agitators who damaged the synagogue below Chabad Headquarters at 770 Eastern Parkway Monday night. These odious actions will be investigated, and the sanctity of the synagogue will be restored. Our thanks to the NYPD for their professionalism and sensitivity.” There’s no clear indication on what these tunnels were used for. I’ve reported extensively on how there’s underground tunnels all over the county that are used to traffic children. Sadly, this is not uncommon. Let’s hope this is not what these tunnels were used for regarding this incident. We’ll see how this plays out.show more

AVALANCHE HAS HAD A MASSIVE 2026 SO FAR Avalanche... (Avalanche🔺) is having its best year of institutional traction since launch. Grayscale's Avalanche Staking ETF (GAVA) listed on Nasdaq with 0% fees in March, with VanEck and Bitwise launching their own AVAX staking ETFs alongside. AVAX One (NASDAQ: AVX) reported Q1 revenue of $2.4M, more than double the prior quarter, and signed an LOI for a 10MW Tier 3 AI/HPC site in Alberta. Enterprise pipelines moved in parallel. Japan's Progmat is migrating its $2 Billion+ tokenization platform from a private Corda network to a public Avalanche L1. Korea's largest credit card arm announced a stablecoin payment system on a dedicated Avalanche L1. Galaxy Digital settled a $75 Million tokenized CLO. Animoca Brands signed an ecosystem partnership, and FIFA continued issuing World Cup tickets onchain. The onchain numbers back the institutional story. The network closed 2025 with 75 active subnets, up 158% YoY, and Q4 hit 38.2M daily transactions with DeFi TVL growing 41.9% QoQ to 102.8M AVAX. Active addresses jumped 242% from January into early February 2026, reaching 1.6 to 1.7M. Avalanche led all chains in net inflows in early February at $135 Million. The Octane upgrade cut base C-Chain fees by roughly 99.6% in April 2025. Granite added dynamic block times and biometric signing in November for sub-2-second finality. Binary Holdings, a South Asia telco loyalty L1 on Avalanche, reports around 36M daily active addresses on its own. That is the scale Avalanche's enterprise-infrastructure thesis has been promising. Price is the disconnect. avalanche-2:native trades around $9 to $9.50, well off the October 2025 peak near $30. If institutional adoption converts to sustained fees and staking demand, AVAX has structural room to catch up.show more

From a sheer stuff standpoint, RHP Cam Leiter (FSU... Baseball) has one of the loudest arsenals in this year's Draft class. Was a member of the AAC All-Freshman team selection in 2023 after posting a 4.92 ERA with 80 Ks across 56.2 IP. Leiter's first season at FSU was cut short due to injury, though he showed big time flashes in his 7 starts (35 innings). Worked a 4.63 ERA with 56 Ks to 22 BB. Leiter has a high-waisted, prototypical pitcher's frame at 6'5" and 234-pounds. Has added physicality year-over-year. Compact and explosive delivery with big time arm speed. Attacks from a three-quarter slot with a low release height. Dynamic mover, blocks well with his lead leg and really drives his back hip through. Powerful! Fastball sits in the 94-96 range, but has been up to 99. Jumps out of the hand from his ~5'10" release height and flashes riding life through the zone. Plays up—and is at its best—when located in the top-half of the zone. Also where it gets the most whiffs, and last year it generated a 30% miss rate. Improved command of the offering will make it that much more effective. 55 right now. His most used breaking ball is a high-70s-to-low-80s CB. Plenty of depth with sharp, downward teeth. Almost a true 12-to-6 shape. Will use it against both right and lefthanded hitters, and last year it held opposing hitters to a minuscule .071 average. Generated an impressive 46% miss rate, it's a 60 right now. Leiter's upper-80s-to-low-90s power SL is another effective off-speed offering. Late lateral tilt with some depth, will throw it almost exclusively to RHH. Another pitch that flashes plus, and last year it garnered a 38% miss rate. He threw it just 11% of the time in '24, but Leiter also features an upper-80s-to-low-90s CH. Ample fade to the arm side, though at times it will have more tumbling life than fade. Not to sound like a broken record, but Leiter's CH also flashes plus. 44% miss rate last season. Throws it with conviction. If you catch Leiter on the right day, you could leave the yard with a 55 and three 60s on his pitch mix. The two biggest keys for Leiter will be taking a step forward in the pitchability department—which in turn will make his arsenal that much better—and staying healthy. He certainly has first round upside this July. (🎥: FSU Baseball)show more
