Today Tesla FSD unequivocally saved me and my fiancée... from a major collision or worse. Green arrow to turn left and FSD starts to go then suddenly stops, I'm thinking why did you stop I hit the accelerator pedal, it breaks again at the same time a SUV barrels through the intersection running a red light. From my view In the car I never saw the vehicle. Had I been in any other vehicle and pressed the accelerator I have no doubt I would have been T- boned in my driver side door. Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on... FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.show more

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this... clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AIshow more

A Tesla Model 3 driver was hit by a... semi truck while FSD (Supervised) was engaged. The truck driver initially blamed the Tesla, but the owner had immediately saved the Dashcam footage by tapping the camera icon. The video ultimately showed what happened, and the truck driver was held liable. The takeaway: if something unusual or an accident happens, make it a habit to immediately save the Dashcam footage.show more

I have chosen to drive my Tesla on FSD... multiple times instead of flying. In the past year, I’ve done multiple ~20-hour days driving continuously on FSD, covering over 1,000 miles daily without ever needing to touch the steering wheel. We just took a trip from Toronto to Nashville as well. It was 900 miles one way, which we completed in a single day (18 hours), and it was way more economical (and fun) than flying. Before that, I did Toronto to Austin, TX (3,200 miles round trip) TWICE in July and November — all in my Model 3 Performance. Would I attempt these drives without FSD? No way. I literally push a button on the screen, and the car handles all the charging stops, traffic, navigation, and everything. It’s so easy. Wow! FSD 14.3.2 just saved my cybertruck and 4... deer by stopping and swerving as I was going 73 mph in pitch dark at midnight. I didn’t touch anything. I don’t even know if I would have even reacted so fast without avoid them. So thankful for FSD 🙏🏼 This isn’t the first time it’s slowed for a deer but this is the most aggressive action it has taken to avoid and can clearly see how quick it is for reaction.
