If there is a BJP-DMK alliance, I will support,... campaign and vote for Chief Minister Joseph Vijay’s party! Welp... I did not want to talk about this,... because really, it is quite embarrassing. 90 miles in, the very first service ticket was created. This was last week. Rivian Service in SSF has graciously facilitated everything for us, loaner and expedited service because come on... 90 miles! That and of course, the series of service issues we've had in the truck we traded in. They know us, and that's not a nice feeling. I am not a "Karen" customer; I hate being the one asking for help, asking the questions, asking for updates. I work in customer service, I know how that is, and it's awful. I love this company, I love these cars but it's truly a disservice to a) not perform a quality control inspection before releasing / selling vehicles and b) have the service centers completely overflown and completely booked for months! I know that if I didn't have that direct contact for the service manager I would have been just bitching and crying for service for probably weeks. Rivian has got to add at least two service centers in the Bay Area, these vehicles are everywhere, and as a shareholder it hurts to see them bleeding money in rentals, over time, etc. I am being taken care of, yes. And the issue is quite simple: passenger side daytime running lights would flicker, headlamp beam would work (so not concerned about safety) but still, a brand new vehicle should not have a faulty headlamp. And again, I did not want to post about it because I know some poeple will just spread their negativity and respond their comments full of hate, but at the same time I am a consumer and I take pride in my transparent ways to conduct myself in business and life. Zero lies, zero omissions. So yeah, a little late, but this is the truth. In the meantime, I shall continue advocating for this amazing company that caters for customer service in such an amazing way, it truly makes us feel special. Can you believe people sleep under such structures? As... a journalist, I don’t stay in the same place and I’m constantly on the move. Yesterday, I decided to go spend some time with my family in Jabalia where we had tuna and mayonnaise for dinner. I went to the bathroom and saw the ceiling covered in mosquitoes and the smell of sewage was overwhelming. The living room has a massive column broken in from the neighboring building. Somehow my family is adapting to all of this. Sharing a small bowl of tuna, surrounded by a horrible smell, walls covered in mosquitoes and somehow they still manage to crack jokes and bring me joy. But still, my feeling of helplessness broke me. I couldn’t bring more than some tuna, I can’t fix a sewage system that was completely obliterated, I can’t protect them from the mosquitoes, I can’t rebuild the home. Every night, when it’s my thoughts and the buzzing of drones, I wonder if the house will collapse on my family. On my parents, my sisters, my brothers, our cat and its four kittens. I wonder if the house will get bombed while they’re all inside. I don’t want them to die without me. If they will die, I hope it’s on one of the days that I’m visiting them. This woman is a single mother who has a... job as a delivery driver for a company that has a Fed Ex route contract. She relies on this job to support her and her kids. She just found out that the company she works for lost the contract and they will all be out of a job in about a month. She found out from someone else, not the company that she works for. 🤯 She is considering just taking her load back and walking out. This happens quite often in the delivery service field. Companies like Amazon and Fed Ex deliveries are contracted out and if those contractors don’t meet certain standards they can lose the contract. 💯 It’s possible the new contractor will hire her but nothing is guaranteed. My son just went through this a couple of years ago and they did not hire most of the drivers over to the new company. Many people told her not to quit, to stick it out and to go apply with the new company asap. She said if they don’t hire her it is just wasted time in getting a new job. She’s upset because she feels it is disrespectful of her company not to let them know personally and give them time to find a new job. I wouldn’t make matters worse. She needs the money. We have over $250k in scheduled jobs just in... April alone A 5x increase over last April. Our biggest and most frustrating challenge by far is speed to scale. I could add another $250k with the click of a button, and I could press this button 30x over every 4 months. I could expand the service area and amplify it even more. But I can’t, because we can’t fulfill more than that without more equipment. I can’t just infinitely buy equipment either, it takes time to build up. The thought of taking on an investor has been discussed many times, but that’s another challenge, because it needs to be the right investor. Money alone isn’t the right investor. We need one that understands the industry and is well connected in it. We also have over 100 people ready to buy into a franchise model. A model that has already been built over the Winter. Recently, I was honoured to officially commission Segun Awolowo... Street in Ejigbo, a project that represents my commitment to delivering real dividends of democracy to the people of Oshodi/Isolo Constituency II irrespective of party, religion or tribal affliation. In Nov 2025, I donated and commissioned a 300KVA transformer for residents of same street to address their long-standing electricity challenges. During that visit, community leaders appealed for the tarring of their road, and I assured them I would do everything within my capacity to make it happen. I am proud to have fulfilled that promise. For years, the residents of Segun Awolowo Street yearned for basic infrastructure and development. During my campaign, I listened to their concerns and made a commitment to be a representative who delivers tangible results, not empty promises. Beyond commissioning the newly tarred road, I also empowered women in the community with sewing machines and grinding machines to support household income and small businesses. I deeply appreciate the presence and support of respected leaders and stakeholders who joined us for this event, including Alhaji Abdul Razaq Adebisi Jegede, Chief John Uche, Mrs. Adeola, Alhaji Toriola, Bishop Remigus Agu, and many others. Seeing the joy on the faces of residents reminds me why service matters.
