Why would someone build a giant clock designed to... outlive civilization deep inside a mountain at a higher elevation? When you invest billions into something designed to survive 10,000 years, you're planning for possibilities most people never consider. The clock also preserves the knowledge of true timekeeping, including axial precession and the tracking of the constellations. And if that wasn't enough, in the same place there is a tiny disc that can be read with a microscope and preserves the most important knowledge, books, and religions, including a manual for restarting a civilization. Do you know which organization is behind the project?😉 What happens when future generations of the lucky survivors from the mountains stumble upon the giant clock?show more

Everyone loves saying: "Why don't Indian brands make products... like this?" But they don't see the real problem. A well-wisher sent me a reel of a product that would be a huge hit in India. I checked the numbers. China factory price: $20 Landed cost in India: ~₹3,000 Retail price needed: ~₹6,000 Too expensive for most Indians. The funny part? If we Indianised it, we could probably sell it for ₹3,000 and still make it work. But there is one big wall. Moulds. Just the tooling would cost around $80,000. Before selling even one unit. That's the real challenge with making products in India. Not ideas or demand. But the cost and risk of building from scratch. So for now, we focus on smaller bets. Products where we can afford to take the risk. Still, it hurts seeing great ideas and not being able to build them all. How can we solve this?show more

😳 A Foreigner Shocked by the Huge Variety of... Products in Ukrainian Stores By the way, this is one of the reasons why some are afraid to accept Ukraine into the EU, because our products are of higher quality and lower price. Ukraine’s accession to the EU would mean that products in stores would have to become better in quality and cheaper in order to compete with Ukraine. For ordinary people this is good, but companies and farmers would lose part of their income. That is why some believe it is better not to accept Ukraine into the EU than to improve the quality of life and health of their own population.show more
