BYC condemns the use of force against the family... members of Zaheer Baloch and other peaceful protesters in the strongest terms. Today, the 11-day sit-in protest by the families of forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals was attacked by the forces when they were marching towards the Red Zone. Elderly men, women, and children were subjected to brutal violence, including live firing. Dozens of protesters were taken into custody and shifted to unknown locations. For decades, the state institutions' response to peaceful demonstrations has been violence and intimidation.
