A similar scenario is playing out today with China,... except the roles are reversed. In (at least) one of his interviews, Palmer Luckey explains that we can build incredible high tech weapons, but China can still wreck carriers and bases by throwing thousands of cheaper missiles at them, even lower quality ones, because the numbers just overwhelm you and burn through your defenses fast. The problem is that we don’t produce enough of our good tech, we build it way too slow, and it costs a fortune to replace, while they’re pumping missiles out of factories at a pace we gave up on years ago. So all that fancy stuff only works if you can actually keep replacing it once the fight starts, and right now we can’t. We need systems that are cheap enough to lose and easy to make in big numbers, because the side that runs out first loses.show more

Today is Kayoko's birthday! She does not talk much,... and she tends to act as if she already knows everything before it even needs to be said. It is not that she has no emotions — she simply has no particular interest in letting them show, and at some point, the teacher has probably come to understand that. She does not mind being misunderstood, moves when she needs to, says what she has to say in as few words as possible, and considers that enough. When the teacher reaches out to her first, she does not push them away, but she does not exactly welcome them either — and somehow, that careful, precise distance she keeps is the part that tends to stay with you. Maybe today is a good day to close that distance, just a little. #BlueArchiveshow more

In Bristol today a gaggle of extremists — some... with faces covered — were chanting for intifada and revolution. These are the same people who planned to knock on doors and demand from residents that they explain where they stand on Israel and Gaza. This is a new purity test, and when the murderers on Bondi Beach say they were huntng Zionists, this door-knocking is nothing but intimidation. But today we stopped it — an alliance of Jews and non-Jews working together. If you see similar examples of this new hate movement in your area, please let us know, and we will try to help you challenge them.show more

The two videos taken from the stadium: 1. Is... the man throwing water to Fleming 2. The supporters chanting the name of Pitso and the same gentleman who is in the vicinity of marked area for VIP is seen going to the Chairman to greet him and hug him. There is also a person seem to be part of a supporter coordinator who tried to silence peaceful supporters. They shouted louder..Pitso...Pitso...Pitso. The Chairman is seen making hands gesture, which appears to be responding to a supporter. It is not clear whether the Chairman is greeting the supporter or agrees to what he was saying. What is clear on these videos, Supporters are not happy with the current state of the club they love. No hooliganism should ever be promoted. However, when people are not to listen to and no response from the club to communicate with supporters, we are bound to experience these scenes. Somebody needs to intervene and engage supporters without using coordinators but to a decision maker.show more

If you want an example of why Australia is... in such dire trouble and going backwards, just look at the absurd TikTok video these three complete imbeciles have produced. They are "celebrating’ the construction of 17 new homes—yes, just 17—at a time when new housing approvals are lower than they were 15 years ago, and when they continue to import hundreds of thousands of people into Australia, when the nation doesn’t have the capacity to build enough houses to accomodate them. To think, this is the caliber of people who have just been elected to Federal Parliament. They are absolutely clueless and would be lucky to know one end of a hammer from the other. Their incompetence is a very reason Australia has a housing & homelessness crisis. And their central planning will only make things worse. We don’t need the government building houses. What we need is for the government to cut migration, reduce red tape, and eliminate excessive taxes and regulations.show more

Okay, attic kitten update time. I went kitten trappin’... this morning. Successfully caught all 3 at one time. Boy did they freak out! Stopped the video, and spent 2 minutes talking to them and reaching into the trap to pet them before they calmed down. I set them downstairs for a minute to interact with Skippy, their brother, and then off to the vet we went. They were very calm on the trip there and back, and at the vet too. Yes, I talked to them quite a bit along the way. The vet says I have 3 very healthy black kittens. Not even any fleas. The vet did give them a bath (did I mention they freaked out when I trapped them? Food went everywhere!). Vet says I apparently took very good care of them. Guess that is good, but it is great for the kittens!show more

Good morning, beloved friends. As the sun rises on... this new day, let these beautiful blooms remind you of the fresh mercies waiting for you. Look at this vibrant garden — lavender, poppies, daisies — all unfolding in perfect color and timing. Just like them, God has a perfect plan unfolding for you and me. God never breaks His promises. Even when we can’t see the full picture… Even when we don’t feel His presence… Even when doubt whispers in the quiet moments… His Word remains true. He is always faithful. He will not leave you to fight your battles alone. He is your greatest Advocate, standing and fighting on your behalf. So breathe deeply. Release the weight you’ve been carrying. Cling to the One who loves you beyond compare. You are safe. You are seen. You are in good hands. Great is His faithfulness — yesterday, today, and every tomorrow that’s still to come. Have a blessed and beautiful day.show more

Not to throw shade on the US government, but... they have been rejecting science, stalling clean energy advancements, and even planning to drill for fossil fuel in national parks, risking irreparable damage to our climate. One way to fight back is to support companies that move us in the right direction. My friend, one of the founders of Mado Dynamic smart window shades, showed me the prototype of his new technology and I totally geeked out! It may seem like a small thing, but energy loss from windows is a huge contributor to global warming. These shades will automatically adjust to keep heat out (or in, depending on the season and time of day), even when you’re not at home so less fossil fuels are burned to keep homes comfortable. And the founders of the company are trying to create a product with a price point low enough to be broadly accessible to average consumers everywhere from the US to the EU and India. So do me a favor: Check it out and invest in the kickstarter. We can still rally to build good things even when our government is working to destroy things!show more

When people take on the mindset that jump racing... is “cruel”, this is the video I’d love to show them. In front, you have Swore who is so excited to jump he leaves out 2 strides at the first and jumps with such enthusiasm and power he is still a foot over the hurdle…he goes down to the next two & measures them with such precision and power. In second, St James the Great gives an excited tail swish after each jump, showing he is thoroughly enjoying the jumping and knows he’s quite good at it. These horses love what they do…two successful converts from the flat prepping for the 2 biggest races of their careers to date in 10 days @ Iroquois Steeplechase 🐎show more

Look at these beautiful community dogs… eating with such... peace, calmness and dignity. For them, a full stomach and a safe corner mean the world. These lives are now living in harmony with the community because of care, compassion and responsibility shown by local caregivers. Each one of them has been sterilized, vaccinated and lovingly fed. This is why they are calm, peaceful and healthy because their needs are not ignored. They are not a nuisance, they are part of our community, part of our streets, and they too deserve to live with respect. This is the only tried and tested way to truly manage stray dog populations Feeding, Sterilization, Adoption, and Vaccination. It works, it brings balance, and it allows humans and animals to coexist with love instead of fear. But thousands more out there still suffer daily hungry, sick, and voiceless. Their eyes search for kindness, their bodies crave food, their lives depend on whether we step forward. We have seen with our own eyes how love and compassion can transform them from fearful, starving strays into calm, happy community dogs. And we can do this for many more but not without your support. Please join hands with us. Help us bring peace, healing and dignity to countless voiceless souls. Even the smallest contribution makes a huge difference. Tel Aviv mood: These people on the beach and... at the bar all know some of them could be in uniform and in battle tomorrow and that they and their loved ones are at risk of missile attacks from maniacs 1,000 miles away. They are bracing for a potentially difficult week ahead. So they try to share only good vibes. They remind each other not to be negative, not to gossip. They greet each other with extra warmth. It's very touching. Jews from all over have flown in, one told me, "I felt I should be here, now more than ever." People are on edge but resolute that things will work out for the best. A reckoning with Hezboallah and Iran always had to come, sooner or later, and there was always going to be a price to pay, but Israel will prevail, as our enemies are evil. Shabbat Shalomshow more

Eunseok has always been a simple and sincere person.... Not only is his appearance cute, his personality is cute too, and even the way he thinks feels gentle and endearing. He knows what he wants, likes to share with others, and is realistic. At the same time, he remains very pure—if he likes something, that is all he wants. During a break from filming, he played a game and won 100 lip balms. Knowing he couldn’t use them all, he gave them to the staff. At the SMTOWN after party event, he won a bottle of 18-year Yamazaki whisky. Since he doesn’t really drink alcohol and only hoped to win a simple moisturizer, he gave the whisky to his managers. At the dinner after SMTOWN, there were seafood dishes and a buffet, but Eunseok ordered his own food instead. He really loves abura soba, and just one bowl of it was enough to make him feel satisfied. When attending an event in Shenzhen, luxury suites were available. Everyone was busy choosing rooms. After seeing a suite where even the bathroom was as big as a regular hotel room, Eunseok said, “I think this is too big. It feels like I might get lost.” When asked if he wasn’t going to stay there, he replied, “No, it’s too big,” picked up his bag, and went to a smaller room. In Japan, he saw a very cute hoodie, but because bringing it back would be troublesome, he didn’t buy it. Because he is very good at skiing and thought winning too easily wouldn’t be fun, when racing with the members, he gave them a head start and only began after he could no longer see them. Because he doesn’t want to grow old, he didn’t eat tteokguk. When he tried to order curry but the order failed, he felt it was too much trouble and decided to cook curry at home instead. Because he thinks skincare products spoil easily, he keeps them in his Minions refrigerator. He doesn’t store them there to make them work better, but simply to make them last longer. There are many more small, lovely moments like these. These simple things turn happiness from a brief moment into a lasting feeling. Eunseok, you are truly a good person. These pure, uncomplicated moments shine the brightest in my heart. Cr. 中原铁娘子 | Weibo 🔗show more

Carol Vorderman, "Never, ever, in my lifetime, have I... seen what is patently a corrupt government like this one. Where they are taking from the poor and they are giving to the already rich" CV has authored a book, "Out of order" where she calls out this behaviour, and she's going on tour in September. More at this link: Whether it's the lies of Brexit driven by Boris Johnson, or relaxing Treasury rules and approving £ billions during covid, most of which we now know to be fraud, approved by then Chancellor Rishi Sunak. Our economy is being trashed with Brexit red tape, our country is being robbed by now PM's bad decision making, and we are being sold a NI tax cut as a good thing, when our services like schools and the NHS are both literally crumbling. The Conservative party of 14 years keep saying they have a plan, yet every one of their plans have made things worse for our country. And their constant voting to repeatedly dump raw sewage in our rivers and seas, what a disgrace. Our political landscape is in desperate need of decent people speaking out. A few celebs have had the courage to do so, and no doubt CV's book tour will be a wonderful and welcoming night out. Do check it out 👍show more

🚨 #BREAKING: U.S. Sen. Andy Kim reports seeing MULTIPLE... drones flying over New Jersey yesterday Here are his key findings (w/ videos): ➡️ Local police say they are seeing them every night. They’ve attempted to chase the drones with helicopters, but once they get too close, the drones turn off their lights and go dark ➡️ The drones always come out after dark and disappear before down ➡️ They move horizontally and instantly switch back in the opposite direction as planes can’t do ➡️ Travel in clusters of 2-4 ➡️ Some were illuminated in solid white lights—others had red and green directional lights ➡️ Police are receiving reports that these drones are flying very low and very close to homes, being described by witnesses as being the size of car hoods. ➡️ These drones do NOT show up on any flight tracking apps. Kim made these observations while out with police near the Round Valley Reservoir. What the hell is the government hiding?show more
