This evening, Israeli residents set fire twice to the... perimeter of the UNRWA Headquarters in occupied East Jerusalem. This took place while UNRWA and other UN Agencies’ staff were on the compound. While there were no casualties among our staff, the fire caused extensive damage to the outdoor areas. The UNRWA headquarters has on its grounds a petrol and diesel station for the Agency’s fleet of cars. Our director with the help of other staff had to put out the fire themselves as it took the Israeli fire extinguishers and police a while before they turned up. A crowd accompanied by armed men were witnessed outside the compound chanting “Burn down the United Nations” (see video below 👇 from Israeli media). This is an outrageous development. Once again, the lives of UN staff were at a serious risk. In light of this second appalling incident in less than a week, I have taken the decision to close down our coumpound until proper security is restored. Over the past two months, Israeli extremists have been staging protests outside the UNRWA compound in Jerusalem, called by an elected member of the Jerusalem municipality. This week, the protest became violent when demonstrators threw stones at UN staff and at the buildings of the compound. Over the past months, UN staff have regularly been subjected to harassment and intimidation. Our compound has been seriously vandalized and damaged. On several occasions, Israeli extremists threatened our staff with guns. It is the responsibility of the State of Israel as an occupying power to ensure that United Nations personnel and facilities are protected at all times. UN staff, premises and operations should be protected at all times in line with international law. I call on all those who have influence to put an end to these attacks and hold all those responsible accountable. The perpetrators of these attacks must be investigated and those responsible must be held accountable. Anything less will set a new dangerous standard.show more

Repost from @gritadelphia_ • PHILLY SPORTS FANS HAVE HAD... ENOUGH OF SPIKE ESKIN 😤🗑️🚮 This is a man who has made a career out of hating on Philadelphia’s biggest moments. When Bryce Harper hit for the cycle and went 7-for-9 with four RBI in one of the most dominant weekends in franchise history, Spike Eskin’s response was to call him “selfish.” Not celebrate it. Not acknowledge one of the great individual stretches in Phillies history. Attack it. When Jalen Hurts led this franchise to a Super Bowl and won Super Bowl MVP, Eskin still couldn’t bring himself to call him a top-five quarterback, spending an entire season riding the Hurts hate train while the rest of the city moved on to celebrating a championship. And when LeBron James, the greatest player of this generation, signed with the Sixers, Eskin went on the radio and called it “one of the worst days” of his fandom, then spent days trying to convince everyone he wasn’t just doing it for clicks. There’s a pattern here, and Philly sports fans see it clearly. Every time this city has a reason to celebrate, Spike Eskin finds a way to make it about himself and his manufactured contrarian takes. Hold Bryce Harper accountable after an MVP-caliber weekend. Dismiss a Super Bowl MVP quarterback. Trash the biggest free agency addition in Sixers history. It’s not analysis, it’s rage bait dressed up as “honesty,” and fans have caught on to the act a long time ago. Philadelphia doesn’t need a hater masquerading as a fan. We’ve got championship banners, championship quarterbacks, and now the greatest player alive suiting up for the Sixers, and no amount of forced negativity from Spike Eskin changes any of it.show more

Wondering if you are “quad dominant” in your throw... and if you should change it? Maybe you shouldn’t 🤷♂️ A coach’s post coming from Austin Roark 🚀⠀ -⠀ One question I get from a lot of athletes is whether they should change their lower half because their knee is over their toe during their loading phase down the mound. ⠀ -⠀ The biggest thing that I look for when trying to figure out if it is an issue or not is to see how they are able to get out of that position. Some guys are able to leverage and rotate from that position extremely well, which then I would say that it’s not an issue.⠀ -⠀ On the other hand, there are some guys who will get out of this position by driving extension out of their back leg, killing their ability to rotate their pelvis and get it in an open position into landing.⠀ -⠀ This is when I would suggest trying to make a change. I think a lot of people jump into certain ideologies that you shouldn’t do certain things because it’s “inefficient” or it looks “wrong”. ⠀ -⠀ Take a look at these pitchers shown in the video. All 3 of these high level arms have some degree of knee flexion over their toe. Now, granted, they all have insane levers to help them, but the way they are moving is what makes them efficient in how they throw. ⠀ -⠀ I think if you told Dustin May that he had to hold a vertical shin down the mound, it would be a disaster and mess a lot of things up upstream that would impact him in a negative way.⠀ -⠀ The big takeaway here is that there are no absolutes. One thing that may look inefficient to you could be the thing that makes someone else very efficient.⠀ -⠀ When trying to figure out if you should change something about someone's delivery, make sure to look at the entire unit as a whole and don’t jump into any quick changes.show more

C Easton Carmichael (Oklahoma Baseball) is one of the... top college catchers in this year's Draft. Started from the get-go as a Freshman and hit .306/.346/.482 with 18 XBH and 48 RBIs. Proceeded to enjoy an outstanding Sophomore campaign to the tune of a .366/.406/.563 slash line with 31 XBH, 64 RBIs and 12 SB. Carmichael was then an All-Star and All-League selection in the Cape League after hitting .299/.372/.496 with 10 2B, 5 HR and 23 RBIs across 36 games. Prototypical catcher's frame at 6'1" and 200-lbs with strength throughout. Slightly crouched stance in the box with a high handset and the bat held horizontally above his back shoulder. Hands drift a little bit in his load, leg lift leads into a normal stride. Does a nice job of getting into his back hip. Average bat speed. Carmichael has an aggressive approach and digs into the box ready to hit. He uses the entire field and has a tick above-average bat-to-ball skills. Has shown the ability to drive the baseball into either gap. Could stand to tighten up his swing decisions a bit; chased at a 35% clip and was particularly susceptible to secondaries down and away. Present barrel skills. Would say his hit tool is a 50 right now, though it's probably closer to a 55. It's more extra-base hit and gap-to-gap power than it is HR power for Carmichael right now, but he has shown he can generate quality contact. Posted a Max EV of 109.5 during the spring and 104.2 on the Cape. If he can pull the ball in the air more (had an Air Pull% of just 20.8 in '24), it could lead to an increase in power production. 50 raw, it plays more like 45 in-game. It's been encouraging to see the progress Carmichael has made defensively. Has gotten better at corralling balls in the dirt and his transfers have gotten quicker. Best part of Carmichael's defensive skillset is his receiving. Soft and quiet, consistently works down to up and has a knack for stealing strikes. Doesn't stab at the baseball. Average arm strength, continuing to shore up his footwork will only help as it pertains to controlling the running game and delivering accurate throws down to bases. A nice cherry on top to Carmichael's profile is that he's far from a clogger on the bases. By no means a burner, but he'll pick his spots to steal a bag. Carmichael has an intriguing toolset and profiles as a 2nd-4th round pick this July. (📽️: Oklahoma Baseball)show more

A bag for life? In an airplane emergency evacuation,... you should not bring your carry-on luggage. This is not a suggestion. It is a life-saving principle. Here’s why: 1. It slows down the evacuation. An evacuation is designed to be completed in 90 seconds or less. Every second matters. Opening overhead bins, pulling bags out, and maneuvering them down the aisle creates congestion and blocks exits. 2. It endangers other passengers. A narrow aisle becomes impassable when even a few people stop to retrieve luggage. Those behind may be trapped in smoke, fire, or toxic fumes with no way forward. 3. It can damage evacuation slides and rafts. Cabin baggage can puncture or tear slides. If a slide fails, an entire exit becomes unusable. That directly reduces survival chances for everyone on board. 4. It increases the risk of injury. Bags can strike people in the face, hit children, or cause passengers to fall while exiting. In a high-stress environment, even small obstacles become dangerous. 5. It shows disregard for crew authority. Cabin crew are trained to shout commands like “Leave everything!” for a reason. In some cases, they are trained to physically remove bags from passengers if necessary because the risk is that serious. Now consider two real-world scenarios: The 2019 crash of Aeroflot SSJ-100 Flight 1492 The aircraft made an overweight emergency landing in crosswind and windshear conditions after lightning strike and loss of key electrical systems. It bounced three times. On the third impact, the main landing gear collapsed, punctured the wing, and caused a major fuel spill and fire. Only 37 of the 78 occupants survived. Forty-one died. The final report blamed several passengers for retrieving cabin baggage from overhead bins during evacuation. While difficult to quantify exactly, it almost certainly slowed the process in a rapidly worsening fire. In a post-crash fire, seconds determine survival. On 2 January 2024, a Japan Airlines Airbus A350 was engulfed in flames after a runway collision in Tokyo. The cabin quickly filled with smoke, and the fire intensified outside. All passengers followed crew instructions and left their baggage behind. All 379 passengers and crew evacuated successfully. No fatalities. No serious injuries. The difference was discipline and strict adherence to instructions. If passengers are determined to take baggage, there is very little cabin crew can realistically do in the chaos. That is why passenger behaviour is critical. So let’s settle this: No bag is worth a life. Not yours. Not someone else’s. In an evacuation, leave everything behind and get out.show more

Dear all, It has been nearly a year since... Forest embarked on our journey with Hanbin. Throughout this time, we have witnessed an overwhelming number of rumors and insults targeted at Hanbin, along with malicious speculations about his every word and action. This animosity has even escalated into organized and premeditated anti-actions. Initially, we believed that tolerance might lead to peace, but reality has repeatedly let us down. Concessions have not yielded positive outcomes; instead, the company's inaction and our passive compliance have unintentionally emboldened the rumor mongers. Forest has come to realize that mere tolerance cannot resolve these issues. After consulting with various parties, Forest, in collaboration with some dedicated fans, has prepared a protest-truck campaign. To ensure a smooth execution within the limited timeframe, we apologize for not making a prior public announcement. This marks only the first step of our transformative journey. Following discussions within the Forest management team, it has been decided that we will confront such situations with a firm and resolute approach in the future. Regardless of the outcome, Forest and C-allindans will continue to be unwavering pillars of support for Hanbin. While we acknowledge that the trucks may not yield immediate satisfactory results, we aim to convey our unwavering attitude and stance to everyone: - Hanbin has devoted significant efforts to the team. - Since his debut, he has endured organized and malicious rumors and anti-actions. - The company, however, has turned a blind eye and used the artist as a shield! - We demand updates from WK1 regarding the progress of the public lawsuit against haters. - WK1 must take action to protect their artist, Hanbin. Every decision made by Forest is and will always be rooted in our fundamental position of supporting Hanbin.show more

I’m here only because I have a visceral reaction... to misinformation….Jessica Machado Apparently there’s some confusion as to why people are pissed. People aren’t pissed because J7 trashed Baker on your show. People aren’t pissed because you said you don’t like Baker. People aren’t pissed because you made jokes about Baker sticking his dick into a fleshlight. People are pissed about how you responded to Baker’s 4Loco live where he told the real story behind the sex toy gift package. Baker explained that he and J7 had a sexting flirtation for a couple weeks but after he started seeing some red flags in her behavior he cut things off. J7 doesn’t handle rejection very well so she went off the rails and started blowing up his phone constantly. She even tracked down his danish phone number after he had blocked her on everything else. It was then that she sent him that package of sex toys. That is scary and weird as fuck. We all know damn well that if a woman had cut off contact and blocked a man who wouldn’t leave her alone and that man then sent her a box of sex toys we all would be horrified. Baker also talked about the abuse he went through with his ex-wife and it was fucking heartbreaking. In response to alla this you did not say something like “Fuck man I’m sorry. I didn’t know the whole story so while I still think you’re an asshole I apologize for making fun of the sex toy stuff.” Instead you doubled down by saying that he “preys on women”, he has “severe issues with women”, he “played the victim”, implied that he is lying about all of this because you’ve “seen all of the text messages” and you “know things that we don’t”. That is why people are pissed. And yes, you are taking way more heat from Baker and everyone else than J7 is but that’s because we all agree that J7 is crazy and you’re not crazy so we expect more from you than we do from the crazy lady. Also, nobody thought that you were talking about Baker being a predator when you were actually talking about J7 and Proctor being predators. That’s why none of us were posting that clip in an effort to try prove that you called Baker a predator. It seems that a couple of the bunnies just found you saying the word “predator” on a livestream and assumed that we’re all idiots who lack basic listening comprehension skills. Then you took it and ran with it even tho that explanation made absolutely no sense. And yes, I fucking hate alla this. There are only like 8 people who are thrilled that this whole shitshow happened. The rest of us are pissed, disappointed, and sick about it.show more

I reported my abuse in 2010. I decided that... day I need to get justice. I drove down to Coventry from Huddersfield, walked into Little park street police station and made my complaint. Over 3 days I did multiple interviews in special units in Coventry and Halifax. I had to take myself back and relive the trauma, and at times I felt I was there again re living everything. Lucky for me all the files from the children's home of the groomers turning up, ringing the unit phones was very well documented in my daily staff logs which are in archive in Coventry city Council buildings for 70 years. Also Coventry Evening Telegraph did a piece on me in 1999. They sent an undercover journalist into my children's home who then reported about the groomers calling us on the units phone and collecting us. The men also made telephone cards with thier numbers on advertising me which were found by the staff. Despite all this this, and hospital reports of some of my attacks 3 or 4 months into the investigation, my case was closed down. I gave up. Now I have hope. All the proof is there. For the first time in 30 years I feel like im going to be heard, and those responsible will face justice. The life long damage this has done to me has been difficult to live with, as ive also lost a baby girl who was forced adopted because the UK social services believed I would never be able to parent because of the damage caused. Imagine, I gave birth and they walked into the delivery room and took her even before the placenta was delivered. UK social services have alot to answer to. Locking us victims up for months at a time to keep us safe....but groomers allowed to roam free. Today my journey for justice really begins. If there are any UK solicitors that see this and want to help, please get in touch. A massive thank you goes to Tommy Robinson 🇬🇧 for being our voice while the world stayed silent. Shell in the Spotlight Again as More Motorists Blame... Contaminated Fuel Sold at Their Stations for Engine Damage Fuel service stations operated under the Shell brand, which is managed by Vivo Energy Kenya, are once again on the spot after another frustrated motorist blamed poor-quality fuel for allegedly damaging his car engine. The incident reportedly happened just moments after the driver refueled at Shell Links Road in Mombasa when the vehicle began losing power on the way to Voi. Despite pushing forward, the problem worsened, and the car eventually stalled a few kilometres before Kitui, forcing the motorist to seek emergency mechanical assistance. A mechanic from Kitui ran a diagnostic test and found severe engine damage, including a completely worn-out piston, citing contaminated fuel as the likely cause of the problem. With no alternative, the motorist had the vehicle towed back to Mombasa and reported the matter to Vivo Energy Kenya. A representative from the company requested a fuel sample for testing at their laboratory. On Tuesday, they informed her that the sample had passed all tests. The motorist, dissatisfied with Vivo Energy’s response, instructed his mechanic to conduct a more thorough inspection of the engine to determine the extent of the damage. Upon dismantling the engine, the mechanic once again confirmed that one piston was completely worn out, an issue he attributed to contaminated fuel. According to the mechanic, the level of damage was consistent with prolonged exposure to poor-quality fuel, suggesting that the problem began soon after refueling. The motorist, convinced that bad fuel was responsible, claims to have gathered video evidence showing the fuel sample in a mixed and compromised state. She insists that the sample, which was taken directly from her vehicle, appeared discoloured and inconsistent with what is expected of high-grade V-Power petrol. Despite presenting this evidence, Vivo Energy reportedly maintained that their tests found no issues with the fuel. The motorist is now escalating the matter, determined to hold Vivo Energy accountable for the damage. She has shared video evidence, showing the contaminated fuel and is calling for independent testing to verify its quality. Frustrated by what she sees as the company’s unwillingness to take responsibility, she is considering legal action and has reached out to consumer rights groups for support. This case adds to growing complaints from Kenyan motorists about fuel quality, with recent independent tests exposing major discrepancies in octane levels at several stations. An automotive content creator Kim JH of Tanuki Garage recently went around Nairobi, purchasing fuel samples from different stations and conducting on-the-spot octane tests. The findings revealed that some premium fuels, including Shell V-Power, underperformed compared to standard fuels. For instance, Total Limuru Road recorded the highest performance with a PON of 92, while Shell V-Power scored lower, challenging the common perception of premium fuel superiority. His findings, shared widely on social media, sparked outrage, with motorists demanding accountability from fuel retailers. Following the viral exposé, oil marketers, including Vivo Energy rushed to dismiss the findings, arguing that independent tests lacked credibility and did not follow industry-approved procedures. Shell Kenya, through Vivo Energy, insisted that its fuel met regulatory standards, pointing to tests conducted by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA). However, the issue has refused to die down as more motorists continue to report unusual engine problems after refueling from previously reputable stations. Meanwhile, consumer advocacy groups have joined the debate, urging EPRA to conduct random and independent fuel quality tests at petrol stations across the country. They argue that the current reliance on oil marketers’ internal tests is inadequate and fails to protect motorists from potentially damaging fuel. The controversy has also drawn the attention of lawmakers, with some calling for stricter oversight and stiffer penalties for companies found selling substandard fuel. For motorists like the one affected at Shell Links Road, the issue is not just about technical standards but about accountability and compensation for the damage suffered. "Hi Nyakundi. I am Here to seek your intervention I fueled at shell links road ,vpower on Saturday, by the time I reached voi my car lost power I kept going but got worse as I moved. A few kms before kitui, the car stalled...I called a mechanic from kitui who came with a diagnosis machine and from what he said,I had put bad fuel. I towed the car back to msa. I reported to vivo. A guy from vivo by the name Brian mbaabu called and asked me to take the fuel for tests in their lab. He then called yesterday, on Tues and said that the sample passed all tests.... I asked my mechanic to open up the engine and to our surprise one piston is totally worn out an indication of bad fuel I will attach all I have including videos as I got the sample and it's all mixed up"show more

If you have lagging Arms and bringing them up... to par is your TOP PRIORITY… I’d recommend doing something like this each week: Upper A • 2-3 sets of “The GREATEST Triceps exercise known to man” • 2-3 sets of Supinated Grip Curls w/ Upper Arm Support • 2-3 sets of Machine or Cable Overhead Extensions • 2-3 sets of Hammer Grip Curls w/ Upper Arm Support Upper B (Performed 3-4 days after Upper A) • 2-3 sets of Dip Machine • 2-3 sets of Machine or Cable Preacher Curls • 2-3 sets of “The GREATEST Triceps exercise known to man” OR Machine or Cable Overhead Extensions • 2-3 sets of Hammer Grip Curls w/ Upper Arm Support This will result in you doing somewhere between 8-12 sets of direct Bicep and Tricep work per week Low likelihood you need any more volume than that to improve your Arms mightily if following the notes below: 1) The ideal rep range to be using when performing the exercises mentioned is the 5ish to 10ish rep range — Choose a weight you can do for 5, 6, 7 reps @ 0-2 RIR…once you can do that weight for 8, 9, 10ish reps, increase the load by 5ish pounds 2) You should perform all reps of all the listed exercises with a controlled (but not overly slow) eccentric and an explosive (but still controlled) concentric 3) You should perform these exercises very early in your workout to ensure they are as efficient/effective as possible — If you perform them later on, you will not get as robust a growth stimulus from the sets because of the outstanding fatigue that will be present from the earlier sets/exercises in your workout Additional notes: - You may sub any of these exercises for comparable exercises due to preferences and/or equipment availability — Ex: Dip Machine subbed for Weighted Dips - I probably forgot something that I should’ve mentioned…if I think of it I’ll drop it in the post belowshow more

Everyone's sleeping on image-to-3D AI models. They can make... your app look incredibly unique, with just a little effort. Here's how. This is my calorie tracker, built in a week with nothing but prompting. Just Claude Code + a couple APIs. The visuals are all AI-generated. I'll be sharing the full workflow + all the crazy technical stuff Claude and I did to make this work, so nobody has to struggle through it like me. Deep dive coming soon! Till then, this is the high-level idea: 1. Get a clean image of the food (or whatever your asset is) - In my app, the user describes foods via text, or attaches images (or both) - If text, an LLM extracts the food description and formats it into a specific prompt I tuned for this design, and we generate an image using Z-Image Turbo through fal - If image, we do the same thing but with FLUX.2 [dev] to edit the user image into our reference design - Originally, both used Google Nano Banana, but switching to open models cut costs and latency a ton 2. Gaussian splatting (2D image → 3D model) - I tried various 2D-to-3D options on fal and ended up with TripoSplat as my preferred balance of speed, cost, latency; this turns an image into a 3D model that looks super high quality (link below) - The app displays the 2D image while our backend generates the 3D splat - We "groom" the splat to reduce size and load time by culling low-opacity/scale points 3. Render efficiently on device Originally, it looked great but ran at 10 FPS. Getting to 120 FPS was a crazy journey. TL;DR: - SwiftUI had to go; it forced us to render each asset in independent MTKViews, which wasn't workable - Instead, we composite every dish into one full-bleed CAMetalLayer using MetalSplatter (link below) - We had to make some optimizations within MetalSplatter's code too, to reduce the overhead of sorting points per render Then I added some finishing touches like the subtle rotation and parallax as they move around. I think it turned out pretty cool :) Overall, this took some effort, but we still got it done in less than a day. Hopefully your agent can follow in the footsteps of mine and do it much faster. Keep an eye out for the bigger writeup, which'll give your agent everything it needs. If you have any questions, drop em below!show more

🚨 WARNING: SOMETHING EXTREMELY BAD IS HAPPENING... Iran just... attacked THREE ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump already drew the line. Publicly, on the record. Any attack in the Strait violates the agreement. Those were his exact words. Not an interpretation. Not diplomatic language. A direct statement with a direct consequence. The consequence is now in motion. US-Iran insiders are saying US forces may respond anytime. Not tomorrow, not after another round of talks. ANYTIME. Which means the ceasefire that the market spent two weeks pricing in is functionally dead as of this morning. Every rally built on peace-deal optimism, every rotation back into risk assets. Every fund that reduced energy exposure, betting that the Strait stays open. Oil is already above $70. And that's before a single US response. If the deal officially collapses and the Strait becomes an active conflict zone... Oil may return to levels above $100. JUST IMAGINE. 100 DOLLARS. Because investors remember how it pumped after the beginning of the US-IRAN war. The damage is already showing up globally. China's stock market has lost over ¥1.1 TRILLION. South Korea is down over ₩300 TRILLION. U.S. market lost $200 BILLION at open. These aren't rounding errors; these are the first dominoes falling in real time while US markets are still figuring out what just happened. All of it just became the wrong trade simultaneously. Here's what the sequence looks like from here. US responds to the attack. Iran escalates. The Strait goes from contested to an active conflict zone. Oil doesn't reprice gradually; it gaps. Tanker insurance rates go vertical. Shipping costs spike. Every inflation number that was supposed to come down this quarter gets revised higher. The Fed was already hiking; now they hike into an oil shock. And the market that was sitting at all-time highs on eight stocks with no margin for error has to absorb all of this before the weekend. There is no version of today that ends well for risk assets. The deal was the last thing holding this together. It's gone. This sounds SCARY, but I will keep you updated on everything here. When I rotate money, I will post my moves here so my FOLLOWERS can SAVE their money. Many will regret not following me earlier...show more

#Bangladesh: India's Reckless Actions Are Worsening the Flood Crisis... in Southeast Bangladesh For the first time in generations, Bangladesh's entire southeastern region is facing its worst flooding in history affecting millions of people. The cause? Indian authorities opened the gates of the Dumbur Reservoir in Tripura for the first time in three decades, releasing massive volumes of water into an already rain-soaked region. (Read: Could there have been flooding without India opening the Dumbur Reservoir gates? Perhaps yes, but on a significantly smaller scale. The sudden release of water from the dam has inundated the region to an extent it hasn't experienced in generations. International law obliges India to notify Bangladesh of any actions that could cause significant harm downstream. Yet, India's failure to notify Bangladesh before opening the gates has caused significant distress and damage. Unfortunately, the Dumbur Reservoir is just one of many dams India has built on the rivers that flow into Bangladesh. Of the 54 transboundary rivers shared between the two countries, India has constructed dams on at least 30 of them, with the Farakka Dam being the most infamous for its catastrophic impact on northern Bangladesh. India's unilateral construction of dams and its arbitrary control of water flows have become a constant threat to Bangladesh, causing either drought or flooding downstream. This reckless behavior has devastated millions of lives and wreaked havoc on the environment. For example, over 80% of Bangladesh's 20 million small farmers depend on water flowing through these transboundary rivers to grow rice. (Source: By inflicting such widespread damage, India is effectively breaching international law on a regular basis. Here are some of the key obligations that India is failing to uphold: 1) Under Articles 5 and 6 of the UN Convention on the Law of the Non-Navigational Uses of International Watercourses (1997), upstream and downstream countries have the right to equitably and reasonably utilize shared waters. 2) Article 7 of the 1997 Convention, along with customary international law, obliges upstream countries, like India, to prevent significant harm to downstream nations, such as Bangladesh. 3) The Espoo Convention (1991) and customary international law mandate that upstream countries notify and consult with downstream states before undertaking any activities that could significantly affect shared waters. Yet, India has consistently ignored these obligations and has never acknowledged the rights of Bangladesh and its people under international law. Despite these hostile actions, Indian officials continue to claim that they are friendly neighbors—yet they wonder why Bangladeshis hold such deep resentment against them. Is India truly a friendly neighbor to Bangladesh? Their actions speak louder than their words.show more

A high-end injection mold can cost $400,000-$500,000, with dozens... of cavities, hydraulic slides, lifters, ejectors, valve gates and hot runners packed inside hardened H13 or S136 steel. Some molds carry 128 cavities, producing 128 parts per cycle, while precision machining can hold tolerances around ±0.005 mm. Cooling circuits circulate water through channels inside the steel, with temperature control around 1-2°C, cycle after cycle. These aren't designed for a few thousand parts. High-end production tooling can be engineered for 1-2 million+ shots, operating through repeated injection pressure, heating, cooling and mechanical movement without losing much alignment. The industrial ecosystem required to make them is enormous, CNC machining, EDM, grinding, polishing, heat treatment, metrology, mold flow simulation, thermal management and hot-runner engineering all have to work together. And China has become the centre of gravity for this industry. China represented nearly 17.8% of the global injection molding market, while some industry estimate puts Chinese manufacturers at roughly 68% of global plastic injection mold supply. These are the machines that make the machines. For any country trying to build a serious manufacturing base, the ability to produce tooling this precise and complex is fundamental. These molds sit at the core of thousands of factories, determining how cheaply, quickly and reliably everything from cars to medical devices can be manufactured at scale.show more
