He’s advocating for the players that make the system what it is. He wants kids to share in the revenue that they help to generate. The most retarded thing about Zack's Pixel Fold battery... explosion is his claim (and people repeating it) that this is the first time ever that this happened. Well YEAH because it was also the FIRST TIME that he pushed it way beyond his usual destruction and kept trying to fold it over at the breaking point (the antenna) way after it already got destroyed On all his other ""tests"" he always stops when the phone breaks. Not to much here. After it broke he tried to completely fold it and THAT was the point that damaged the battery which resulted in it starting to smoke. on the topic of what constitutes "polish" - for... me it's about cleaning up those tiny blips and bugs that on their own can be missed or forgiven, but in aggregate give an impression of lower quality here, when the player enters a new area, the cutscene ends when Zayd comes to a standstill. If you're holding the stick, ready to run, he stops and then immediately starts running again, which causes this fraction-of-a-second pause in the animation. You can see it twice in this video - the first time when he enters the hut and pauses on the green carpet, and then again when he exits onto the deck. Ideally, if the player is holding the stick when the cutscene ends, Zayd won't come to a standstill, but instead will transition seamlessly from cutscene-running to player-controlled running. it's such a tiny visual glitch, and on its own not worth the 15 mins it will take me to fix it. I might even decide to not fix it after all. But this for me is a classic example of "polish"show more

Don’t be like this player. So many players still... don’t use boost efficiently, even though boost management is the most important skill in the game. A good guideline is to save boost for when you’re making a play on the ball and use your movement to get to the ball. Here is a player who uses all of his boost to chase the ball, and when he ends up low on boost, he keeps chasing anyway. This leads to him bumping his teammate and giving up an easy goal.show more

Grip a club in your lead hand. Observe how... twisting your forearm changes the angle of the face. This is largely what controls where your ball flies. Small differences in this angle lead to huge changes in shot direction. This precision is not being trained in the gym with “golf exercises”. Poor control of this face angle is what leads to a whole host of swing issues. More so than physical limitations. For example, it is far more likely you come over the top in an effort to stop the ball going right because your face is wide open and you’ve seen the ball go right the last 5000 times than it is you lack hip or shoulder mobility. It would be beneficial for me as a trainer to say otherwise, but I just don’t believe it to be true. Use the gym to work on your physical capabilities. Improve your mobility, strength, and power. These are the things you are losing as you age. Leave the swing mechanics for your practice and golf lessons. If you try to “fix your swing in the gym” you will likely do a poor job of training your swing and your body.show more

Apparently, I saw this video online and I decided... to share. What this worker is applying is called bitumen, or what many of us know as bituminous coating. Most people think a wall is a solid, impenetrable block, but in reality, it is more like a sponge. Concrete and blocks have microscopic pores that pull water from the earth through a process we call capillary action. This thick black substance is the shield that stops that water from climbing up into the house. It is not about making the wall look good because this part will be buried under the dirt forever. It is about creating a skin that water cannot breathe through. When do you need to do this? The need for this arises because the soil is a very aggressive environment. Water is not your only enemy.. The ground also contains salts and sulfates that want to eat away at the cement. If this moisture finds its way to the steel bars inside the columns, those bars will start to rust. And when steel rusts, it expands, and that expansion is what cracks the concrete from the inside out. This coating is the only thing standing between your foundation and that kind of slow destruction. Thats is why if you see wet patches at the bottom of your walls inside your house, it usually means someone skipped this step or did it poorly during construction. You can apply this anytime you are building parts of a structure that will stay in contact with the ground. It is common in areas where the water table is high or where the soil stays damp for most of the year. This is a one-shot opportunity. Once you backfill the soil, you can never go back to fix it without a lot of expense and a lot of digging. It is about having the foresight to protect the heart of the building while it is still exposed. Please don’t ignore this if you need to.
