update opus 5.5 nerf test: opus 5.5 before vs... now tested using the same i wouldn’t say opus is nerfed only needs a few more prompts to make it look like the first one let me know what you guys think is it nerfed or not ?show more

People are saying Opus 5.5 might have been nerfed.... So I reran the exact same Mario and Mickey Mouse tests with September 30th Opus 5.5 vs. October 3rd Opus 5.5. Same prompts, just three days apart. What do you think? Is Opus 5.5 nerfed?show more

🚨 Opus 5.5: Today vs. At Launch — Nerfed?... 👀 With everyone talking about a possible nerf, I had to test it myself! I reran the Eiffel Tower benchmark, and honestly, I prefer the launch result. It honestly feels like Opus 5.5 got little nerfed. The tower itself might have slightly better detail now, but the surrounding buildings, trees, river, and overall scene look noticeably worse to me. One run doesn’t prove a nerf, but this comparison surprised me. I want to see whether the same pattern shows up in the night train benchmark next! 🚂🌙 What do you think: nerf or normal variation? 🤔show more

The true cost of using Opus 5.5 is only... 3% of what it looks likeshow more

Has Opus 5.5 been quietly NERFED?? I reran the... exact same Mentos simulation prompt from September 30 today. Same model. Same prompt. 20 days apart. Look at the difference. 💀 It looks like making the current model worse is the easiest way to make the next release look 10x better?show more

Astra, what the hell is this shark? 😭🦈 Claude... Opus 5.5 vs GPT-6 Astra - same prompt, two very different sharks Astra made a hilarious little nightmare. Opus wins for me - it actually looks like a shark Opus: $10.35 Astra: $8.38 Saved $1.97 and got a shark that needs an exorcism 💀 Which one wins for you?show more

Jelly King: Opus 5.5 Mogged Astra, Fable and Sonnet... In my jelly tests, Opus is in a league of its own right now. And it’s not just the wobble - the materials and detail are on another level too Look at this citrus slice. Glossy flesh, visible segments, soft folds when you pull it. Astra bends too, but those sharp creases look more like a crumpled wrapper than jelly Opus wins this one for me, and it’s cheaper. Maybe only Fable 5.5 can take the crown from Opus 👑 Estimated API cost: Opus 5.5 - $7.57 ChatGPT-6 Astra - $10.15 Would you still pay more for Astra after watching this? 👀show more

Jev + Opus 5.5 is the most underrated setup... in AI right now, and i don't get why nobody's talking about it. I stopped letting Opus make every small decision in my agents. Jev makes them now. My Opus bill dropped ~500% on the same tasks, same results. Here's what Jev handles: - which files and notes to load before Opus sees anything - which effort level each task actually needs - what to do when a tool fails - which tests to run, and when to stop Opus only gets called for the hard reasoning. Every decision is a typed result the host checks before it runs. The exact prompt to set this up in your workflow is below.show more

I turned my Opus 5.5 into a motion design... studio This is f*cking insane... I asked them to arrange a test drive of the Tesla Roadster Drop the PDF below into Opus 5.5 and see what it makes Then read the motion engineering guide below ↓show more

Antigravity is now quite insane You can use Claude... Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 directly inside it... in addition to Gemini 3.8 Flash. So basically my workflow is now: - Opus 5.5 for planning - Sonnet 5.5 for frontend - Gemini 3.8 Flash to execute Everything in the same place and without paying an additional subscription.show more

Finally, Opus made me the perfect jelly - even... better than Astra’s 🍉🤯 Claude Opus 5.5 vs ChatGPT-6 Astra This time, I prefer Opus: the juicy color, glossy flesh, and especially how the slice stretches, folds, and jiggles when you let go. It genuinely looks like gummy candy I want to touch Astra’s version is nice too, but Opus gets my vote here Estimated API cost: Opus - $4.50 Astra - $2.05 More than twice the price. Do you think it’s worth it? 👀show more

an Anthropic engineer just showed a cleaner way to... run Sonnet 5.5 + Opus 5.5 without wasting turns the expensive mistake is letting the wrong model stay in the loop too long. so I turned the routing logic into a prompt: → clear, scoped work stays on Sonnet 5.5 → failed checks trigger escalation → Opus gets a clean handoff, not the full transcript → cache stays warm whenever possible the numbers get weird fast: → 20K context: Opus is 1.88x per turn → 150K: 1.49x → 400K: 1.26x a late 300K switch costs $1.50 just to rebuild cache. the same handoff at 20K costs $0.10. the point is not to use Opus more. it is to make Claude prove when Opus is actually needed ↓ ↳show more
