For those who don’t like Blockie, I’ve got one... for you that might change your mind: At the 2023 PGA where his life exploded, I followed him for ESPN in the final round (the one where he made the hole-in-one) and had the chance to speak to him on Sunday prior to the round when he was paired with Rory. Both he and his lovely wife Val gave me almost 20 minutes of their time and were so open and honest and offfered so many amazing stories I used on the air. No other person who was in his position with everything on the line would’ve done that. Nobody. I have also had him (and his son Dylan) on my podcast for Silver Club Golfing Society soon after that PGA and I didn’t have to jump through any hoops with his agent or anything. I even played a practice round with him at the ‘25 PGA Professional Championship and he couldn’t have been nicer. We all want athletes to speak their mind and let us in, and when they open up and say what’s on their mind they get ripped by social media. I don’t see the reason for the haters. My experience last have been nothing but 100% positive. Blockie is a star in my book.show more

With this season being the lowest time of all... times for #THFC, you’d like to think your club captain would embody “ALL TOGETHER, ALWAYS” On Sunday, there is a possibility this great club gets relegated, with every player including Romero being accountable for it. For him not to be at the club’s biggest game in their history is disgraceful, and even disrespectful to the fans that have stood by him throughout his fairly inconsistent time at the club. Even if we do stay up, I don’t see any way Cristian Romero can be a part of this club going forward. Some thoughts while training this morning: 1) I actually... don’t like getting up to train at 6am. But I do what needs to be done, and with a young family I want to spend time with I’d rather take time away from myself and train while they sleep 2) See your training as a meeting with yourself; this is an idea you might have seen thrown about. If it’s defensive pass interference, call defensive pass interference. But at the line of scrimmage, if players are going to try to get the formation correct … we’re not going to tell them that they are either on the line of scrimmage or they have them off? They’re just going to sit there and tap their knee? “I don’t know what that is. That’s frustrating that we are that literal as an officiating department — if that is indeed what they are telling them. … “I didn’t know when we were going to start officiating the line of scrimmage and not communicate with our players. Is it weird that one of my favourite things... about cruising is… WAVING?! They don’t promote that in the adverts! 😂👋 I can’t explain it but it fills me with lots of joy. I love it when people wave at me and I wave back, like here. 😅🌟 I’ll often spot somebody and do everything I can to get them to wave back at me. When they do I feel like I’ve won a game nobody knew we were playing. 🏆🥇 It’s pretty common for everybody to wave when a cruise ship sails away from a place. I love it even more if it’s a ship sailing past a ship, then you have hundreds and thousands of potential wavers!! 🤣👋🏼 Anybody else love it as much as me? A few days ago Jerod McDaniel shared a quote... along the lines of “horses made for war don’t dance well at weddings” I think there are a lot of people like myself that know how plants… or livestock.. or a pasture or even building a house or pouring concrete work. We just want to do what we do. The weather worked out well this year for this. We’re going to be 👍 I could grow about anything, but I like to do it my own way. I sometimes wish I didn’t have to predict or guess what people will do… or markets… and the all the corresponding things that entails. I know you can’t just do your craft, but sometimes you want to just immerse yourself in something you have a more complete understanding of. I watch people like Adam Chappell do this with cotton. Zack Smith come up with farmonius designs Intergrazing livestock. We could do so much cool shit, if only we could just have the local markets, infrastructure… if the average person could have that connection and means to trade with the local farm / farmer that just wanted to just do it…be him or herself Maybe I left you hanging with the main idea here. Like, in one take, I’d hug on the right side, and then when they switch the camera angle, I’d accidentally hug from the left. I just go with the flow of the emotion. But Bonnie is super detailed—she remembers everything about continuity. So the director said, “If there’s Emi, there must be Bonnie.” Also, our personalities and preferences are completely different. Like, when we eat tom yum soup, I eat the meat, Bonnie eats only the mushrooms. If we eat avocado-salmon toast, she eats the avocado and salmon, I eat the bread. We’re total opposites but we work together so well. At first, I thought Pam was such a distant role, but the more I played her, the more I thought, “Wait, this actually feels familiar.” There was one improvised scene where I said, “If I didn’t have (Dok)rak, how would I go on?” But in my head, I was actually thinking, “If I didn’t have Bonnie, how would I go on?” And then I just cried super emotional! (laughs) Maybe it’s because I usually don’t express my feelings. I tend to take care of myself, handle things fine alone. Strength is kind of my way of protecting myself. But when I’m with Bonnie, I feel like I can be vulnerable, soft. It’s such a strange feeling. Maybe it’s because I’ve never met someone like Bonnie before. BONNIE:When I see Emi, I just want to take care of her. She has this dependable, older-sister, almost motherly vibe, but also a childlike side. Deep down, she’s super sensitive. On the surface, you’d see her as someone who’s bold and outspoken. But when she’s under stress or pressure, she shuts down, becomes quiet. I, on the other hand, usually don’t express emotions much but when the pressure gets high, I actually become the stronger one. I’ll step up to protect or support Emi. We’re different in ways that complete each other. And honestly, if it wasn’t Emi, I’m not sure I could’ve become Dokrak. But with Emi, I felt totally comfortable, like I could be myself. She never judges me, no matter what I do.show more
