I bumped into Dr Mmusi Maimane MP today at... the SiGMA Africa Summit and we had a good conversation about education. Let me say something that l some people find uncomfortable: You do not have to agree with a politician to speak to them, you do not have to share their ideology to influence them and you certainly should not limit your influence only to people who think like you. Don’t get me wrong, I am not joining politics, but I respect those who choose that path because they carry the responsibility of public decision-making. There are ears in society that will listen to politicians but may never listen to academics, activists or entrepreneurs. So if we care about education & the future of our young people, we must be willing to engage widely. Influence should not have boundaries, it should have purpose. #EducationMatters #Leadership #InfluenceWithoutBoundaries #MakeEducationFashionable #AfricaRisingshow more

An elected official in my town runs the local... social media group where most people get their news. When she saw stories she didn’t like, or that didn’t show her in the best light, she would remove the posts and block residents. She even blocked me while I was running against her for office - breaking her oath of office. So I asked myself: what’s something she can’t censor? A real, printed local newspaper. I reached out to two incredible women and shared my idea to bring real, fact-based news and resources back to our community. We don’t always agree and that’s exactly what makes the paper strong. Not only do we provide local news, we highlight local heroes, share important reminders, provide resources for those in need, and publish a community calendar. The response from residents and local businesses has been so overwhelming that we’re now able to deliver the paper to every household in town, completely free to residents.show more

We think Mayor Brandon Johnson should do something about... the CFD Station at 12701 South Doty. It houses Engine 80, Truck 61, and Amb. 51. The conditions are utterly deplorable. According to our source, the station floods when it rains, but it isn't merely groundwater; it's sewage backup. Despite appeals to correct this quagmire, the city has declined to complete necessary repairs. Over July Fourth, the firehouse flooded again, multiple times, forcing CFD personnel to carry out clean up without the benefit of any sanitary material. On Friday, flooding began at 9 p.m., but plumbers only arrived after 1 a.m. We're told human waste floated on the apparatus floor, bunk room, and officers' quarters. Imagine if the mayor's office or Annette Nance-Holt's office flooded. The repairs would be immediate and lasting. This is a safety and health issue. Shouldn't Chicago do something about this revolting situation? We certainly think so.show more

here we go again. It’s a pretty common theme... to attack me and discredit everything I do, regardless of what I share to prove otherwise. Why? Because it gains traction for all the influencers. i wanted to address the “paper trading” allegations on X, but before i do i want to point out that the ones capitalizing on the engagement are the same ones who have flip flopped their narrative on me again and again. the same people saying i’m a paper trader suddenly decide my trading is real when im losing or in drawdown. whatever positioning gets them the most engagement is the narrative they run with. I’ve been trading for 11 years now and have a longer track record than most in this space. If you go back and watch my YouTube videos you’ll see my broker statements presented. I can appreciate healthy skepticism and will continue to show the statements to those it benefits. Now let’s address the paper trading allegation. A video is floating around that I posted where you see “paper trading” on my screen. Yes, I had paper trading open. But why is the first assumption that I’m a paper trader? Am I not allowed to open paper trading? If I do, I’m immediately a paper trader? That window was open because I tell everyone in my community to paper trade first and I walk them through how to do it. See the attached video that I recorded for my community where you can clearly see paper trading open while I’m walking them through TradingView paper trading. Now let’s assume I’m lying about that and people still want to call me a paper trader simply because I had paper trading open while teaching my community. That would mean I don’t trade real money and that I’m not profitable. Well I’ve posted my broker statements for the last four years, all on YouTube. See attached. Let’s also address my recent trade where I made $18k. When I posted it, people on X said it was fake and that it was paper trading because of certain settings. Here is the attached order ID number for that trade. I’m up $57k this year so far and I’ve stopped sharing trades and updates with the trading community because regardless of whether I share or not, people will continue to come at me because it gets views. All items are attached below. I’ll make a YouTube video soon to address this as well. But give it a break at this point.show more

Some people see a man being very cruel to... a young boy here. That's not what I see. Achilles just taught this young boy something important. Something most people never learn. They never have anyone to tell them. ACHILLES TOLD HIM. Sure, it hurts to hear the truth, many times. The only people who make their mark in this world, who do great things...are those who can overcome their fear. The boy is being honest. He's seen the warrior that Achilles is about to fight. He tells the truth. "I wouldnt' want to fight him." It seems cold and distant, what Achilles says to him in response: "That is why no one will remember your name." You can be safe. Or you can be great. We don't live in a world where you can be both. Do you want to be remembered? Do you want to be great? Do you want the glory? Well, you'll never achieve it in the safe zone, staying away from the danger. Life isn't about how much comfort you can enjoy. Life about doing things that matter. And that means... You have to WANT to fight the Thessalonian.show more

Hey everyone! Before we play our first match, I’d... like to share a bit about our offseason. This is one of the most important times of the year for any team, and we made sure to make the most of it. We started tryouts with only 8 days of rest after the previous season ended. We didn’t waste a second. We wanted to be ready, and to do so, we tested between 30 and 35 players, becoming the team that conducted the most tryouts. We gave opportunities to everyone: players with previous experience, those without, T2 players, ranked grinders… If we saw potential, we opened the doors. Our goal was clear from the start: find young grinders hungry to compete and eager to learn. We were looking for talent we could develop and take to the top here at GIANTX. This reflects our philosophy: not just signing stars but building them, betting on the future, and nurturing young talent. I also want to give a massive shoutout to GX Cloud and Liquid purp0 , who worked tirelessly to make this offseason a success. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to secure not only the best players in terms of skill but also those who align perfectly in terms of synergy and personal values. It’s been an intense and exciting offseason full of key decisions. Now, we’re ready to take on the new season with everything we’ve got. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to leave them in the comments. I’ll do my best to answer them as soon as possible! Or maybe I will make a post with answers on most of them in one big postshow more

behind of yesterday’s tiktok ⭐️ 🐰 the ‘tree’ challenge... that i did yesterday…i did it because i wanted to 🐰 as soon i saw it, i was like “i need to do this” it’s so funny 🐰 that’s actually not what i was going to film that day, it was supposed to be a sexy challenge but i’m not really good at those kind of challenges where you have to be like “look at my sexiness”, even with performances i prefer doing something that’s more light so i told them that there was something else i wanted to do instead of that one and they asked me what i wanted to do so i showed them the ‘tree’ challenge and said that that’s what i wanted to do 🐰 we actually save the ones that we’d like to do and bring it with us so we can show it to them 🐰 when i showed it to them, they loved it and were like the “let’s do this! let’s do it right away!” 🐰 i wasn’t going to film a challenge that day so it was a very sudden filming and i was wearing sandals…something like slippers with nothing covering my heels so they kept coming off my feet when i was doing the step 🐰 i think i filmed it about 5 times, i filmed it many times 🐰 “you should’ve done the sexy one” i mean…i can do it if i have to but i’m not good at it…doing something sexy on stage is fine but being like “wow look at me 😏” is not something i particularly like either 🐰 i like doing light performances and i think that’s what suits me as well 🐰 each person has something that suits them 🐰 yeonjun hyung & beomgyu are excessively coy when they’re on stage and they’re people that suit that kind of thing but i feel like i’m not someone that suits it 🐰 i think i suit light concepts better 🐰 i don’t know about suiting because everyone will have a different opinion but i personally like that better!show more

All of those people who constantly cry about “cancel... culture” are at it again cancelling a company called Liberty Safe. This comes after they spent months trying to cancel Bud Light. These people will say, “but we are justified,” and they are not. That’s not how this works though. People boycott and “cancel” companies and people when they feel there is a justification to do it. It doesn’t mean that it has to be justified in your mind, but it is in theirs. It’s just so hypocritical to me when people attack others for canceling companies but they go ahead and do the exact same thing themselves. For those who aren't familiar with this story, the Liberty Safe company gave a passcode to the FBI so that they could access a suspected criminal's safe. There was a search warrant issued on the criminal's home where the safe was located. What do you think? Do you support cancel culture? Do you only support it when it’s in your best interest, or do you support it no matter who it is?show more

While CT is screaming about how Kalshi is going... to displace Hyperliquid in perps trading, they should be worried about something else. This “Outcomes” tab looks absolutely fire in the Hyperliquid interface. Seems like after the insane $HYPE run, everyone forgot – but HIP-4 is in full swing. Daily recurring binary outcomes just dropped for ETH, HYPE, and SOL. They auto-deploy and settle every day at 06:00 UTC based on Hyperliquid prices. We used to only have BTC, but we keep expanding. This is quiet but steady development that will give us a decisive edge over Kalshi and Polymarket: • Lower fees • More precise execution • Superior capital efficiency While they’re celebrating $1B wash trading volume in 5 days with pathetic OI, Jeff and the builders are cooking their kryptonite. Elon Musk at Davos just said something worth remembering:... “I would encourage everyone to be optimistic and excited about the future. And generally, I think for quality of life, it is actually better to err on the side of being an optimist and wrong rather than a pessimist and right.” In a world full of doom-scrolling and negativity, choosing optimism isn’t naive — it’s a practical decision that improves your daily life, even if you’re occasionally wrong. While we cannot control external events, we can always control our response to them. By cultivating virtue, resilience, and a rational outlook, we can face any challenge with inner strength and find purpose in the struggle. What do you think — is it better to be an optimist who’s sometimes wrong, or a pessimist who’s often right?show more

A few days ago Jerod McDaniel shared a quote... along the lines of “horses made for war don’t dance well at weddings” I think there are a lot of people like myself that know how plants… or livestock.. or a pasture or even building a house or pouring concrete work. We just want to do what we do. The weather worked out well this year for this. We’re going to be 👍 I could grow about anything, but I like to do it my own way. I sometimes wish I didn’t have to predict or guess what people will do… or markets… and the all the corresponding things that entails. I know you can’t just do your craft, but sometimes you want to just immerse yourself in something you have a more complete understanding of. I watch people like Adam Chappell do this with cotton. Zack Smith come up with farmonius designs Intergrazing livestock. We could do so much cool shit, if only we could just have the local markets, infrastructure… if the average person could have that connection and means to trade with the local farm / farmer that just wanted to just do it…be him or herself Maybe I left you hanging with the main idea here. I think there are a lot of different people who are really good at different things, but many of us have to sand off our edges that give us our edge. I love to think in the lens of the 🌱show more

Christina Chang talked to Glamour about how Connor really... ate the pasta during the dinner table scene on episode 6 of Heated Rivalry. "Sitting across from him…it was outrageous. It was Connor’s idea to eat like that, and he made a great choice. And you’re right, it does showcase his comedic abilities because he’s not winking at it in any way. He’s literally shoveling food into his mouth, but he understood it’s nuanced, and that in this totally serious scene while his boyfriend’s about to break down, he’s just like, Oh God, look at the family drama; it’s amazing. He did say to Jacob, 'You never see anybody eat in a scene. I’m going to eat in the scene.' Meanwhile, I always put something in my mouth and then it’s time for me to speak. So I’m always like, Ugh. But in that scene, when the cameras were on them, we couldn’t get through several takes. You can hear everybody laughing because Connor would have noodles hanging out of his mouth. So at some point, Jacob was like, 'Okay, we need to cut. This is outrageous. We can’t even understand what you’re saying between the spaghetti and your accent. Let’s start over.'" 🔗 Read the full interview here:show more

"Explosion in Kharkiv" or something along those lines is... the most frequent post I make. I've probably made a thousand of them by now, if not more. Air raid alerts are so frequent here that I usually don't even post about them. They can last for days, and the citizens of Kharkiv are forced to disregard them. Or we can have twelve of them in a day, and we will also be forced to disregard them. I often see online how central or western Ukraine complains about the alerts, and oh, how much I would give to have an actual solid warning about an attack like them. But "explosions in Kharkiv" always arrive unexpectedly. How surreal it is that we are forced to live like this. How horrific it is that thousands of bombs, missiles, and drones fall on a major city in Europe daily, and all the major press and political figures just pretend it doesn't happen. Because if they admit that it happens and they just watch it year after year, then what kind of people are they? Do they care at all?show more
